At the end of the Silver Age, the gods departed from the Vale and rose to the galaxy. Virgonian was the last to say farewell. When the wizards pleaded for her to stay, Virgonian assured them that the gods were not leaving because they were angry, but rather that they were no longer needed. She rested her wing on the land and beckoned the wheat for the final time. And with the promise of endless crops that still grow to this day, Virgonian ascended to the stars.
Virgonian is in the co-op teaching the grace and manners of the gods. Koala goddess to all!

PRO TIPS
Since Virgonian already contributes the earth element, if you clone Virgonian with Aperture in the co-op, you can receive both cloning and breeding percentages — 7.3%!
For breeding in the Rift, Arctic and Geode are the best dragons to breed with Aperture to maximise the amount of Star Dust you can earn from breeding fails.
Edit: I bred Aperture + Arctic (both level 20) in the Rift and received a traited Virgonian on the first try! (tears of utter joy)
Baby Virgonian is adorable. I wasn't lucky enough to breed a traited Virgonian first try in the Rift, but I did get a traited one on the first day! Unlike traited Sagittarian who nearly waited till the last day before appearing. 😊
Three weeks ago, a giraffe at the Brights Zoo in Tennessee was born without spots! This is the only spotless giraffe in the world. The all-brown, perfectly toasted-marshmallow-coloured giraffe looks a lot like the centaur horse of Sagittarian. Just look at those long front legs they share! Everybody knows a giraffe is a looong horse.
Giraffes are one of my favourite animals, so this gives Sagittarian a notable boost in my opinion.
The Brights Zoo is holding a contest to name the Melba-toast-tinted giant. There are four names you can vote for on their Facebook post. Sadly, 'Spot' and 'Giraffey McGiraffeface' are not options.
This baby giraffe is super cute. And she does have a striking resemblance to Sagittarian. 😊
She deserves a cuter name than Spot or Giraffey McGiraffeface. 😊
Bred a Leonian on the first try and sped it up using gems.
Virgonian is now cooking in the co-op with a high possibility for a twin (it has been two weeks since the last one). As a result, when that egg hatches, red fire will be mine.
It has taken a nice and long 1,262 days to acquire every last dragon from nothing. Having never spent a cent on DV, and not having any co-op help until just last year, I would debate that I did pretty well obtaining nearly every dragon on my own.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

If you’re using gems to speed up breeds during Twin Weekend, sometimes the game has difficulty keeping up, and you can lose them. Here are some tips to ensure you receive all your twins.
HOW TO ENSURE TWINS ARE DELIVERED TO YOUR MAIN PARK WHEN CO-OP BREEDING WITH A SECONDARY PARK ON TWIN WEEKEND
I did a number of Cooperative Cave breeds to test the issue of twins failing to appear in a park while breeding in the co-op with an secondary park. Since speed breeding is a large part of the problem, but is widely relied upon during Twin Weekend, I sped up all the breeds in these tests. This is what I discovered...
USING ONE DEVICE
If your secondary park is on the same device as your main park, and you’re trying to breed twins for the main park — you’re in luck. There doesn’t appear to be any issues with the delivery of twins.
I sped up 26 co-op breeds in a secondary account that’s on the same device as my main park.
• After 4-6 co-op breeds, I checked my main account to ensure the twins were delivered. They were all in my Gifts.
• Remember, there is a limit of 10 twins that can be waiting since your last park visit, so don’t leave your park unchecked for too long.
• To be extra cautious, if I received the breeding time for a twin I needed, I switched to my main park to empty the queue for twins, went back to the secondary park and sped-up the breed, then returned to the main park to ensure the twin was delivered.
• From the 26 co-op breeds performed, I received all 26 twins in my main account.
USING TWO DEVICES
This method applies if you’re working with a friend to help each other breed twins, or if you’re trying to breed twins for your main park and your secondary park is on a separate device.
When I initially performed these tests in January 2021, the iOS twin push notifications were disabled, so it was extremely difficult to tell if a twin was successfully delivered to your park. Deca Games recently restored the twin notification (thank you Deca!) so I’ve updated this section.
Please note: Twin push notifications have been disabled on Android. Deca is aware of the issue and the last we heard they were working on it.
Back in January 2021, without notifications, I made an interesting discovery about the delivery of twins when two devices are used.
I sped up 33 breeds on an old Android device that has a secondary park, which is not associated or linked to my main park (main park is on an iPad Pro).
If I kept my main park open and bred a twin on the Android, my main account would receive the in-game pop-up message for the twin about 2-3 minutes after completing the breed. After breeding about 5-6 consecutive twins, the pop-up stopped showing and twins are no longer received. Only force closing the app, then restarting the game will allow the delivery of twins to resume. Also, if I closed the main park before the twin pop-up appeared, the twin was lost. And if I continued to speed breed in the secondary park before the pop-up showed, the twin was lost.
Based on my previous findings and now equipped with twin notifications, here’s my recommendations.
I. Using Two Devices to Breed Twins for Your Main Park (one person, two devices)
If you’re using a separate device to breed twins for your main park, after you breed a twin, wait until the twin push notification shows on the other device. Then, breed another. If you breed another before the notification shows there’s a good chance the first twin will be lost and never appear in your Gifts.
After breeding and receiving the notification for 5-6 twins, open your device so the twin queue is cleared and check to be sure they’re in your Gifts. Even though Backflip stated that you can have up to 10 twins waiting, my tests showed that in some scenarios this is not the case and you may stop receiving twins sooner.
II. Breeding Twins with a Friend (two people, two devices)
Use the Twin Weekend Co-op Requests thread to coordinate with your friend and agree on a time to start breeding. Since you won’t know when your friend received a twin push notification, wait a couple minutes between each breed. If you breed a twin before they received the push notification for the previous twin, the previous twin may not be delivered. When you receive the timer for the target dragon do not complete the breed. Notify your friend so they can open their game and clear the twin queue. After they have done this and closed their game, speed up the breed and inform your friend the twin was sent. If you’re not speeding up breeds with gems, notify your friend before finishing the breed so they can clear the queue.
DOES THIS MEAN I’M MISSING A LOT OF TWINS DURING TWIN WEEKEND OR OUTSIDE OF TWIN WEEKEND?
If your friends are speed breeding most or all of their co-op breeds with your dragon, rapidly and in-a-row during Twin Weekend, you’re probably missing some of the twins they bred. However, if they’re not speed breeding, it’s likely you’ll receive those twins — provided you don’t have more than 10 waiting for you between sessions — but it’s no guarantee. When Twin Weekend is not running, it’s much less likely you’ll be missing twins. The probability of twins eliminates the possibility of receiving twins in-a-row, so speed breeding and non-delivery is no longer an issue. But again, it’s no guarantee.
IMPORTANT: After you successfully breed a twin, especially if it’s a dragon that’s desirable or difficult to breed, always take a screenshot. If it’s not delivered, you will have evidence of the twin and a time stamp for when the dragon was bred that you can submit to customer support. Screenshots are a great habit to continue even when Twin Weekend is over.

Whaaaaat? Hasn't it only been a short while since the last one? Or have I just lost track of time? 😂
Either way, this is so awesome! Time to call in the "Getting twins with my main park" koalas. Hopefully I'll clone some dragons I don't yet have there! 😁
(This couldn't have been more perfectly timed for me, since I'm not currently trying to clone anything in my small parks!)

The last Twin Weekend was in May. I’m not sure why Deca released another one, but Twin Weekend used to be a three-day event (sometimes longer). Deca changed it to two days in late 2022, so adding another one each year makes sense to me. Don’t know if that was their reasoning, but we’ll take it!

SvenAke, ShadowNinja, and DerekB bring the stars to the skies and beauty to the Vale!
Thank you so very much, vampdragon, shadowninja, and svenake! I’m pretty sure I never had Leonian in the co-op, but that didn’t stop our magical members from twinning it 🤯. Glowing gems and twinkling treats have been delivered to your parks in great appreciation. Many cheers!
If I missed any new event twins, please let me know. I may not have received it or accidentally scrolled past it. Since it’s Twin Weekend, I will probably change my co-op dragon soon, as there are many Virgonians available. G'luck, everybody!

SIDELINE, n. The place where DragonVale park operators stand while watching a Twin Weekend go by with a two-day Rainbow fail in their co-op cave.
This happens a lot during Twin Weekend, or really any weekend. I just use gems to speed up the breed. I’m always very tempted to hoard gems, but then reality strikes, and I know the gems are there to be used for instances like this. They’re not valuable or usable anywhere outside of DV, and you can’t take them with you, so you might as well spend them. (Still, I stockpile when I’m not twin seeking.)

Problem is, I have basically no gems in my small parks and very few in my main 😅 The park that got the fail has the most gems of my small parks and still couldn't speed up the breed (and even if there was some way of getting gems from my other small parks into that park, it still wouldn't be enough 😂).

Oh yeah, if you don’t have the gems, you’re stuck. 🙁 Maybe you can speed up the last 24, 12, or 8 hours and get another twin or two in, but it probably won’t be worth it.
I was referring to the many endgamers who have thousands of gems and don’t like to spend them, myself included. Even though, logically, using gems is the best move.

Haha, that is basically what I do now. I too like to hoard gems, but I too realize I don’t have any use for them outside of DV. So I use them for the twin weekends. Ironically, I don’t even want to collect twins, but without one, I won’t be “awarded” the rift version when the time comes for the daily rewards, or the RBC…so…😉

I look forward to the day when I've been playing long enough that I can store up thousands of gems. 😂 I don't plan on getting any fire other than red, so maybe I'll see how many gems I can hoard 🤣

I am guilty of hoarding my gems like a Swiss banker. The only things I am willing to spend gems on are habitats, decos, and conversion to DC when another new island is available and I am short the necessary DC. I will speed up a breed if it only costs a few gems, but spending 40+ gems to finish a breed would have me looking for the bottle of brandy.

It’s a hard habitat to break, but once you speed up a Double Rainbow, you’ll be cured. 🌈🥳
Another way to view it, Backflip gave us gems, and the ability to easily acquire them so we can surpass the long breeding fails and complete our dragon collections. The long breeding/incubation times are built into a game that has a design to speed up breeding/incubation. If the gems and the ability to fast-forward breeds weren’t a thing, then the game would have 1-8 hour timers.
Besides, there really isn’t anything else for endgames to spend their gems on. And for those who collect twins, speeding up breeds is a necessity for blue fire.

What adlerist said! This is the healthy way of looking at it.

I vaguely remember my early days playing DV. There were never enough gems for much of anything and they were hard to acquire. Deca is much more generous now about giving out gems. But early on it is vital that you save as many gems as possible and avoid spending them.
It took a long time but I would always breed whichever gemstone dragon was available for the month (especially the ones that produce one gem per week) until I had filled the permanent gemstone islands next to Kairos’s perch. Then I moved on to acquiring gemstone habitats and stocking those with gemstone dragons. Gemstone habitats used to cost a fixed price of 150 gems, but it was too good to last and Deca eventually introduced inflationary pricing to gemstone habitats. They are still quite inexpensive in the early levels of the game and then you can use Wishes three time a year to acquire even more. The hard part is having the patience to implement a long-term strategy like this, but it does eventually pay off and you find yourself with a comfortable weekly gem income. If I can do this, anybody can do this! My wife gave me a plaque that reads: “My patience has been tested. I’m negative.”
