I haven’t had much luck breeding the first 3 event dragons in Runic Breeding Caves, although i have regular and Twins of each. But today I finally have a traited Grandeur (Fire trait!) - and it’s gorgeous! Hoping for Shaper & Icecarade before this event is all over. And my obsession to have all traits for Snowdrop is going well. I have fire, water, earth, dark, lightning, plant, and metal. UPDATE: minutes after posting, I got a Shaper in RBC! A good day!

That is an excellent day. I'm still trying to clone an Icecarade and Grandeur in my main park. They are both being very elusive. 😊
Something else to ponder: What is likely to happen when an obsessive Shaper dragon comes across an unsuspecting Cubicle dragon? It might be wise to keep this pair in separate habitats, not like Zilla and Yeti which has a certain entertainment value attached to it.

Do you know of other pairs that are amusing to place together?

Offhand, I can’t think of any other ill-advised pairings mentioned in the dragon descriptions. I would not want to place a professional noisy irritant like Quaa anywhere near an Elysium dragon, but that’s just me.

I enjoy placing my Ambrosia Dragon in the same fire habitat as a Sulfur Dragon.
In fact, Ambrosia's description mentions "Which begs the question: If you were to put a sulfur dragon in an Omnitat with an ambrosia dragon, which scent would be more powerful?" But all you need is a fire habitat.
Or even better, if you have an omnitat, you could place an Ambrosia Dragon, Sulfur Dragon, and a Miasma Dragon together in the same habitat.
You visitors might not enjoy the interesting... scent around the vicinity, but I find it silly.
Placing Valeodon and Zilla in the same habitat is interesting as well since they are natural rivals.
PSA: Claims have been reactivated at the Runic Breeding Caves and compensation for players who purchased Runestones
For those of you who purchased Runestones between December 14th (event start date) and December 21st (bug fixed), if the Claims button is still greyed out in the caves you activated, please contact support and they will grant the Runestones you lost, so you can activate those caves and make your claims.
I know reaching out to support is not always ideal, but unfortunately, this is the easiest and fastest way for players to be compensated, since some players used all their Runestones, while others only used some.
If you have any problems receiving your Runestones, please inform a Game Representative at your earliest convenience, and we will pass on your support ticket number to the Deca reps. This is important to Deca. They want to be sure players who made purchases are fully compensated. Thank you so much!

In my opinion, DECA has saved what started out as a disastrous event with this compensation. Big THANKS for that! I had been reluctant to spend any money on this event like I normally would in a RBC event, but now I feel more justified than ever that they deserve a little extra from me for their monumental efforts to keep this game going and growing. This is seriously cutting down my list of remaining Rift dragons to obtain! If my calculations are correct, I'll only have six left to get after this event is over.

Thank you SO MUCH for fighting for this adlerist, and thanks to the rest of the game reps. I’m so glad you guys were able to get DECA to see how the first compensation wasn’t enough, and I’m so glad DECA was able to help everyone with their purchases. I’ve opened a support ticket. Thanks again, I’m very grateful.

I had 19 dragons that I needed in the Rift at the beginning of the event. Two are Galaxy dragons. I'm looking forward to cutting that number down. The hardest part is to know which ones to claim and which ones to leave. 😊

I always go for the Epic dragons first, since they earn more in the Rift. After that, I try to go for the dragons that have been on my wanted list for the longest, though that’s not always easy to remember. I don’t put too much stock in deciding on the Rare dragons. I’m aiming to have all unique Epic dragons on display in my Rift, so there’s not much room left for the Rares anyway.

No problem, it's my pleasure! Players who support DV with in-app purchases need to be fairly and properly compensated to ensure their support in the future so DV can continue its extraordinary run. Deca is well aware of this and wants to be sure all players know they are deeply appreciated. ❤️

PSA: Important information about the resetting of the Claims button
Some clarification on how the reset Claims button works. Many thanks to Calli and the FB DragonVale Group for investigating this further.
• If you made claims from the Runic Breeding Caves before yesterday (8 January), the Claims button will now show one claim left instead of zero.
• If you didn’t make a claim from the Runic Breeding Caves earlier, after you make a claim now, force close the game and reopen. The Claims button will be reset and you’ll be able to make another claim from the cave. This is important because most players wait until the end of the event to make their claims and may not know the Claims button will reset.
• Instead of 10 dragons, it is now possible to claim 19 dragons from the RBCs (the always active main cave only has one claim and cannot be reset).

Oh my gosh what?! Now that's what I call compensation 😂 Is this also the case for people who weren't affected by the bug? Because if so I might get some more dragons that I need traited (I've been saving my last two claims for either a traited Venture or the last limited, but if I get more claims then there are other dragons I was considering too).

The reset Claims button applies to all players. It’s a great time to buy Runestones and activate caves because you’ll be able to claim two dragons from each cave, instead of one.
