Deca Games has developed a series of questions to gather feedback from players regarding their new event dragons. To capture an accurate account of players’ assessments, Rate a Dragon threads are created for each new dragon. These threads will be available approximately one to four weeks after a dragon’s release to allow players some time to breed the dragon and admire its fine qualities.
Since Deca asked players to rate their dragons and provided questions for the categories they would like to receive feedback on, please keep all comments related to the dragon. Opinions and suggestions about the selection process Deca utilises to add player-designed dragons to the game, requests to include or exclude a player’s dragons from the game, and other off-topic comments will not be passed on to Deca. In addition, excessively rude, graphic, or offensive remarks will not be relayed and could result in a ban. Criticism is certainly welcomed, but try to keep it constructive and related to the dragon.
The Rate a Dragon threads will remain unlocked until the event concludes on January 24th. At the end of the event, your ratings and comments will be passed on to the Deca DragonVale Team.

1. Animation 2.5 it would seem less lazy if the similarity to Lightmare was called out in-game (for example someone’s suggestion of mentioning that wizards suspect Snowdrops could be somehow related to Lightmares), but it isn’t. But I do like Lightmare's/Snowdrop's animation

Animation: 1/5 It reuses the animation of the Lightmare Dragon, which kind of ruins it for both dragons.
Trait: 1/5 Too much. Wayyyy too much.
Size: 4.5/5 Snowdrop could be just a *wee* bit bigger to see the details. Aside from that, I have no sizing concerns.
Price: 2.5/5 With a simple breeding combo, 15k is a bit pricey for what you get.
Theme: 5/5 No explanation is necessary.
Design: 1/5 This dragon is a reskin of the Lightmare Dragon, which I dislike not because it is a reskin, but because of the fact that Lightmare is fan-inspired. I feel like hawk got the short end of the stick, as DECA created snowdrop based off of his dragon. He should, at the very least, get a little credit for supplying the original inspiration to Snowdrop (hawk -> lightmare -> snowdrop).
Combo: 4.5/5 The breeding combo is simple and easy to obtain the parents. However, I would have preferred LIGHTMARE as one of the parents, despite it complicating both the combo and Lightmare's availability.
Preference: 1/5 Although the dragon has its beauty, the fact that it is copied from Lightmare without credit makes me extremely disappointed.
Comments: I believe that Snowdrop might take a new record of having lowest rating I have ever given a dragon - even lower than lovesick, which is my least favorite dragon.

Comments/feedback for Deca : A great winter dragon for a Snowy Ball. Nice size and it fits the theme beautifully. I love Snowdrops wings and like the traiting effect on the wings. But having the body and the wings traited is too much. One or the other would be perfect. I’m on the fence about the animation. I really like it, but after watching Lightmare’s animation again, they are virtually identical with their wing movements. Snowdrop does a loop-de-loop but it isn’t enough to differentiate it from Lightmare. Good breeding combo, Icebound isn’t too hard to obtain and Rain is an elemental dragon that most players will have, or easily breed. Snowdrop would have made a lovely Snowflake dragon.

I wish Snowdrop wasn't so small. She has the most beautiful face. I adore the shape and that eye. Generally I'm not a huge fan of antlers, but they're perfect because they look like parts of a snowflake! It's really exquisite. Unfortunately, I can't enjoy any of that much at all, because I have to play on Low Rez mode and she's so small. The details are lost. Boo. Having said that, I'm glad she isn't enormous and dwarfing Lightmare. I've put them together in the Rift and they just look so cute flying around together.
They look great, because they do virtually EXACTLY the same thing. Deca. Guys. Really? I like the floaty looping. I find it very calming. However, why in the world did you leave the chasing animation? What even is Snowdrop trying to catch? And what's popping out of her chest and flying away?? That feels lazy, I'm sorry. It's a beautiful animation. It was inspired by Dreamcatcher's description and relates directly to dreams. It feels weird being there with no explanation. I guess I just wish Snowdrop did her own thing. For that, she got low marks.
Design. This would have been a 5 because I'm a fan of Lightmare's body type, I love the insect-like body and adore her little face. It's kinda neat that the Deca team liked the Lightmare model enough to reuse it for something different and wonderful. But, minus 1 because there was no nod to Lightmare for something that was clearly heavily inspired by her. They're obviously related dragons. Somehow. I will repost the following, because I think it's worthwhile. Something as simple as this might have been a nice nod:
"Nobody knows where Snowdrop dragons originated. They just appeared one night, floating in the sky. Some wizards have speculated that they're actually Lightmare dragons chilled in the festive spirit of wizling dreams."
With something like that, it would have received a 5 from me. It's Deca's prerogative to do what they will with the ideas the fandom offers, but I for one, think a little nod would have been... respectful.
Traiting. I get it. Lightmare got no trait, so Snowdrop has to have ALL the trait. I love traiting. Really. But this was too much. Just the wings, or just the outline. Also, this dragon looks weird in greyscale.
Breeding Combo. Not much to say here. It doesn't fit, but I'm glad it was easy. Snowdrop really should have been a Snowflake dragon, but I'm not complaining, because it would have been so much harder to obtain traited. I'm also glad Lightmare didn't make it into the Winter event just to have a baby, but I think we all know Icebound and Rain adopted.
3. Size: 4.5, it is a bit on the small side, smaller than the snowflake dragons.
4. Price (15,000 Iceberries): 4, with an easy breeding combo and pretty good cloning and breeding odds, I would say the price is ok

Comments/feedback for Deca: I really like its name and description. But somehow, something is amiss with the dragon itself. I just can’t feel the “bulbs cascading”, and the flying is kind of missing some elegance. People say it is a copy of the Lightmare. If that is the case, I like Lightmare’s animation and movements much more.

Comments/feedback for Deca - Adorable. Don't mind the reused animations as that does take a lot of time and resources. Fits well for this design actually. Definitely not the reskin as some make it out to be as it is its own unique design.
1. Animation 2/5 This "kissin' cousin" would have received a perfect score from me IF the artist had given even the barest nod to the creator of the original. That's just good manners plain and simple.
