This doesn't affect me, I'm just wondering.
There is never a guarantee that all the returning dragons in the event market will be in the final selection. Backflip did not always do this, and neither has Deca, so players should not have this expectation.
If any dragons are missing from the selection in the data, a week or two before the final reward is due, I'll ask Deca to add them. They are very good about making the changes. However, sometimes the DV Team is busy, and they don’t have a chance, so the dragons are either added late or not at all. If they're late, I don’t think that’s justification for customer support to give players a tardy dragon since Deca never promised the dragon would be included. But if support is feeling very generous, maybe it'll happen.

Metal The Great Pumpkin Contest Winner
Traited Trilobite is MINE! MINE! MINE! This finishes out the Chrysalis group for me in Rift. I only have 88 traited dragons left to get. I have 1 or 2 I can still select in the Runic caves, but may opt for a couple Twins instead. Oh the stress of making an end-of-event dragon decision! 😆

Did the same in my RBC's, for all the chrysalis I needed... the choise: bought for 7 more runes so I have 10 eggs... but have 11twin chrysalis to get!!! And I don't tell about the rift chrysalis I'm looking for! Next year? I hope so! ahhhh if DECA , one day, in the future, offers us more than 10 claims, ( 20, 30, 40.... never mind....) I'll agree! by the way, using my RBC's a lot of time, for a lot of different dragons, helped me to have more and more EC , so I bought all the habitats that I was missing!

I really wanted to buy some extra runestones for the RBCs, but this time around I can't afford to, but that's okay, I was able to get some awesome dragons. I collected from the RBCs: 1. Nacre (traited) 2. Niamh (traited, used to breed Barkskin) 3. Ocular (traited) 4. Swallowtail (twin) and 5. Swallowtail (traited). It's going to help me finish breeding all the chrysalis dragons now that I have 3 of the original 5 chrysalis dragons in the rift.
I was extremely lucky this event, and was able to breed all 4 of the limiteds and clone all 3 of the new non-breedables. All I have left to do now is to finish breeding the chrysalis dragons, and hopefully breed Wolper. I have 70k of eggs to spend, which is a lot, and I don't need that many dragons...wish I could carry over my EC to the next event! The next two events have TONS of dragons I don't have.

(Though I will get about a billion DC out of it by buying and selling Burcadian Monoliths, so it balances out.)
I'm glad you got so many dragons you wanted! Are you just gong to buy the remaining Chrysalis dragons and Wolper or will you attempt to breed them?

The Runic Breeding Caves gives a lot of event currency, especially if you buy more Rune Stones that what are given during the event. 😊

Slowly working on my Rate a Dragons. I always find it a fun highlight at the end of an event.
In the meantime, I’m on a Basket weaving countdown. My traited Tansy and Kroki just can’t seem to weave up a Basket with traits. They managed to succeed in making a normal Basket over the weekend, but I’ve already got a normal Basket. I decided to shelve the one they made into a nice pedestal.
Luckily I’ve managed to weave myself a twin Basket and use the two in Runic, so if these Rift guys can’t pull it together by Sunday, I have an alternative route. Dragons need a class called Basket weaving 101…

I'm trying for Wolper in 2 caves right now, and hope I can get him, but I guess it doesn't really matter since I have so many eggs. I'll definitely buy him if I'm not successful. I do love to breed instead of buy when I can, but even though he has 4% breeding odds, he's a little hard to get! I think I have trouble with the chrysalis, so I'm thinking I'll buy them, and then just work on the rift versions between events. But I'm not sure yet! I MIGHT get the weather station, but I'm not really sure if I want to have to deal with having to change the weather all the time. I like when the game changes it for me, ah well. I wish I could put it in storage.

I started with the event completed (I have been playing for A Long Time™️ 🤣), so there wasn't anything I didn't manage to get. I got a few Chrysalis EoMs to start on traited versions when I have spare time.
Btw, if you want to get the WS, the weather will still change automatically as long as you never use it, so if you wanted to buy it in case you couldn't afford it in future events, you could and just put it out of the way so you don't accidentally use it.

Yup. Guess we’re on the tailing edge of that bell curve. I think as of today I’ve done 147 attempts? With one Basket to show for it (the pedestal). I outright bought my first Basket a day or two in and I’m so glad I did. At least the game’s made me sommmething in the Rift. Usually when I don’t get the traited version I don’t get anything at all. Kotun, Rubrum and Fortified all come to mind. And it always seems to be my favourite of the event limiteds too. Or maybe that’s just my mind playing tricks. Either way, I’m ending this event with both a traited Basket and a Rubrum above all else (thank goodness for Runic caves)!

I wasn’t able to breed Basket in the Rift. I claimed it from the RBCs so I could complete its Rate a Dragon thread. Then yesterday, I bred a traited Basket in the Rift. It even had the same light trait as the one I claimed from the RBCs. I think that’s the secret. Claim it, then you’ll breed it.

I need to choose between claiming a traited Nubis or Cerberus from the RBC. Any suggestions?
If you already have a traited version of one, go for the one you don't have a traited version of. If you have traited versions of both I'd recommend Cerberus because it'll be longer before you can claim a twin-traited version from its event, but also consider whether there's anything else in the Paradise or Halloween events you'd rather claim with the gift. If you don't already have traited versions of either, their base combo odds are roughly the same and they have the same number of primary elements in the mix, so there's not a massive amount of difference. According to the Compendium with BeB selected, Nubis' combo has quite a few more possible results throughout the year (taking into account the possibility of DWs when it's available), so I would lean towards suggesting that.

I need to choose between claiming a traited Nubis or Cerberus from the RBC. Any suggestions?
Nubis! I may be biased though, because I love Hawk’s dragons. Nubis and Cerberus have about the same breeding percentage, and neither is needed in breeding combos. Cerberus will be in the Halloween event and Nubis will be here a little sooner in the paradise event. Since Cerberus is an old 2016 Backflip dragon, it will cost less to purchase in the event market than Nubis, which was just released last year. They are both great dragons, but I'd still go with Nubis.
EDIT: I see kaleni#0146 has also responded, and we have given you different recommendations! 😄 Oh wait, Kaleni suggested Cerberus, then Nubis, so maybe we’re on the same page.
Well, maybe just go with the dragon you prefer.

Final count: 165. My Tansy and Kroki are the proud new parents of a traited Basket dragon! I’ve graciously offered to feed it from my stash of treats.
Little Basket somehow managed to avoid getting Tansy’s earth trait and is rocking a beautiful shimmering metal trait. I’m surprised it isn’t woven into the basket weave.
I really thought I was doomed. Now I can choose a twin like Leathery or Dawn in my Runic caves instead!
