Spring has sprung, and that means picnic season is in full swing. Not only can you enjoy your lunch with the best seats in the house at a splendid Picnic Table, but four of the greatest wizards and witches in all the land will be joining you. These magical magicians may pop up and quickly disappear in the Vale, but on your profile they will be permanently affixed to ensure year-round enchantment. Simply rate all the Bountiful Picnic dragons before the event concludes on 8 May, and you will have access to the most magical, delectable egg salad sandwiches.
Since we have completed two years of Rate a Dragon, there are now two previous spring awards to offer. Instead of the Picnic Table, you can choose the Cherry Tree from last year’s A Thawsome Spring, or if you prefer dragons over trees, the Clover Dragon from Luck of the Vale. So many options! After you’re done rating the Bountiful Picnic dragons, message me, and the Cherry Tree or the Clover Dragon will be added to your profile instead.
To give you a head start into the picnic season, here are the first two Rate a Dragon threads

Pangolian is still remaining elusive to me. I do not wish to use my EC and buy it, but considering that I have been bronzed twice and subterraneaned once in the last week, I am beginning to think it might be necessary.
I cannot afford any more timers over a day trying for Pangolian.
The Original One is in all things. The Original One is nowhere at all. From all creations, over all creations, does Arceus watch over all.

We do still have three weeks left, it might show up in that time! Good luck! 🤞

Pangolian has been the hardest of the opening dragons to clone for me as well. Only one of my parks has cloned one. I've been bronzed as well and brambled several times. Having another two dragons with the same timer is discouraging. Just when you think you've bred Pangolian the icon trick doesn't work. 😉
Bloodstone, Coldsoup, Daisysunshine, Justwantpalafinlol, and MinyaZ put the pumpermelons in picnics and the 'win' in twin!
Thank you so very much, MinyaZ, Justwantpalafinlol, Daisysunshine, Coldsoup, and Bloodstone! Garden gems and melon treats have either been delivered or will arrive in the morning. Many cheers!
If anyone sent a twin Melovine and hasn’t received gems or treats, please message me, and let me know. I may not have received the twin, but would still like to send the gifts. Thank you!

I noticed that the Chrysalis habitats were listed with their EC prices in the main market, apart from the small variety which is still listed with its price of 35 gems. If this isn't intentional, I think it'd be great if it could be fixed because if a newer player were taken to the main market due to not having a space for a chrysalis dragon they might assume that the smaller variety can't be bought for EC if they hadn't noticed it in the market already.
But either way, thank you Deca for showing the EC prices in the main market instead of just removing the option to buy from the main market!
Remember, whenever Decorator Week is released there are increases in crashing, ads playing/crashing, and loading issues. So for the next week, expect more performance problems. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I was just about to ask if anyone had noticed the game get more laggy recently! This explains it, thank you!
Second, as usual, I have been waiting for decorator's week - My largest plan is to finalize my egg organizer islands (gargantuan, overgrown, and colossal islands).

The perfect picnic demands nectareous fruit, delicious egg salad sandwiches, and delightful cakes — and it also requires the most idyllic, shaded spot. The Forests of Farn is filled with trees, but most are pine-like and don't offer a canopy of branching leaves to sit under and cover the brunching picnic-goers. Deeper into the forest, Kaleni found a cluster of gentle and graceful BARKSKIN dragons. These wise dragons are knowledgeable of all the forest flora and fauna, so Kaleni informed them of his dilemma. The Barkskin dragons stood tall and rapidly grew a dense umbrella of foliage that intertwined and braided with each other's branches, creating a patio of shade as far as Kaleni could see. Not only was this the most divine location for a picnic, but it was the most exquisite place in all the Vale.
Barkskin is in the co-op casting shade on everybody. Koalabark to all!

Barkskin is really beautiful!! 💚 Since there's nothing left for me to buy this event, and I didn't have a traited Niamh, I just bought it and its pedestal right away; it now has a proud spot in the centre of my first island.
Since I'm not breeding for it, I have time to try to get a Terradiem pedestal before the next limited releases. And if I get Terradiem with time to spare, I'll be cloning traited Leaf and Sprout to evolve to traited Bloatato and Curlyleaf in the Harvest event, since I already cloned Berry for Aubergine. (Unfortunately I don't have any Seeds yet so I'll have to get a few when it next shows up.) Fingers crossed!
Just to check, the new event unbreedable dragons (i.e. picnic category) CAN be bred in the runic caves? I've been trying for pangolian forever...
New dragons in the last tier of the market are never breedable. They are only clonable. You can clone them from a friend at the co-op. And if you have two, you can clone them together in your park and at the Runic Breeding Caves.

Can you not clone with one in your park? I’ve been trying my pangolin with an elder plant in my EBC.

Yes, you can clone any of the new unbreedable dragons with one in your park. But the odds are only 1% when cloning with one parent. The odds are much better if you have two of them.

What are the best dragons to buy with the Event currency?
'... overwhelming goodwill, and witty humour, profound grace and compassion blended with the spice of relentless taunts.'
