Bred through two 20ks every day, all week. Not a single Drack-o-lantern. Got my “10% in co-op” guy after around 15 attempts. Thankfully he was a twin, so I guess my traited one will be a Runic claim… and I’ve cloned the twin, so I have two for Runic breeding. Just annoying to be on the far end of the probability curve.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s new limited. I hope he likes my park better than the pumpkin.

If you don’t have Vidalia, there are other hidden dragons that will add one element. Here is a list of the second best hidden dragons and their primary elements. The element in parentheses is the extra element added to the Candycorn’s breeding combo.

Just checking….the breeding results in both the park and rift for Ambrosia x Vidalia shows 43 possible dragons. Cancycorn isn’t one of them.
Just got one in the Rift with that combo, so it definitely works. Not sure why the game won’t admit that it’s possible! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The in-game Breeding Results feature is new and still has bugs. It’s best to use the DV Compendium, DV Lair (mobile-friendly version of the Compendium), or the DV Sandbox. I updated the Compendium with Candycorn a couple of minutes after reset, so the Compendium and Lair should’ve displayed Candycorn.
And since the topic has come up, if anyone notices the Compendium or Lair are not showing the new event dragons or limiteds, please let me know. Sometimes there’s a lot going on at reset and I forget! I know players depend on these resources, so I want to be sure they’re updated as quickly as possible. Thank you ☺️

If you purchase the new treat buildings, each one will grow 200,000 treats every 23 hours. Plus, a special NPC will be released into your Vale. The Dark Manor introduces vampires, the Erie Cemetery conjures the Grim Reaper, and the Coven Hut summons Glumi.
And... they will NOT depart with the event!! Throughout the year, vampires, Grim Reapers, and Glumis will bring a little Halloween to your day. Such joy!

A chill has settled into the Vale as autumn takes hold of the trees. A new palette swept through the forests to the grasslands with luminous oranges, rusty reds, and brazen yellows. There is a spice in the air that is vibrant and familiar. It comforts and beckons to every corner of the land. Summer has ended. The sweltering has stopped, and the sweaters have emerged. Ovens are always warm with bread and pies, and pumpkins become the centrepiece of the table and conversations. Everything is pumpkin-coloured, pumpkin-flavoured, pumpkin-carved, pumpkin-patched, and pumpkin celebrated. Keep the pumpkin spice brewing on your profile throughout the season with a nonstop Pumpkin Party. Simply rate all the dragons before the event concludes on 27 November, and the Pumpkin Party award will ensure your days are trick-or-treat sweet.
Since we have completed three years of Rate a Dragon there are now three previous Halloween awards to offer. Instead of the Pumpkin Party, you can choose The Portal from last year’s Into the Screamhouse, the Bone Dragon from XI Hsab Ydnac S'eebtihw, or Red-eye the Raven from Into the Dark. So many options! It’s been a hot minute since someone had a good fall. Kinda wish they’d learned we like real hidden animations. Could have had a giant candy corn fall on him and him stuck inside. Or waddle with it on him. Oh well. I’ll start preparing my ratings early maybe.

Ambrosia + candycorn in coop is showing as having 3% odds on DVLair, is that an error?
No it is not an error. The 4.45% is the base percentage. Unfortunately because of the number of elements in using Ambrosia and Candycorn it drops the percentage. Ambrosia contributes plant, fire, plant and earth and Candycorn contributes plant and light.
Using Ambrosia still gives better odds (3%) in co-op than using either plant or light combos (1%). But it also introduces more fails.

Thank you so much for adding me. I have added you back and have been for a visit to your park. The buildings look great on your island, but the Vampire etc seem to be shy. Perhaps they're not visible for visitors? Or I was too impatient.

If anyone has seen my co-op koalas, or indeed if they’re enjoying your park, I’d very much appreciate it if you could please tell them I miss them and would love it if they popped back to my park for at least a visit.
I have had absolutely no luck in the co-op so far this event, not a single unbreedable dragon has decided to grace my park, even with spending quite a few gems speeding up fails. Thankfully my rift and regular cave aligned koalas have dropped by though. I did ok with Jialong, Drack-o-lantern and Candycorn getting a mix of traiteds and regulars for each but no twins in sight. Come back co-op koalas, pleeeease.

Candycorn is adorable. He has that old time Deca look, which is what I like. I've been waiting for him since the start of the event, although I didn't know he comes with his own serving tray. That's precious. 🧡 It's so cute the way he hides in his great big bowl of treats. That'll be me coming home from the annual trunk-or-treat next week. If it's anything like last year, I'll come home with so much candy I can hide in it for a month. 😋
Also, just wanted to add that I tried freeze dried candy corn recently. I like the regular stuff, but freeze dried is way better. Definitely worth giving it a try if you haven't had it before. 🍬

I took one look at the newly added combo and winced. We can't go one candy bash without an awful breeding combo...
At least the others weren't adjusted, as they aren't absolutely terrible.
