3 & 4 had a higher breed time. But they are no longer in the market So they cannot be bred now unless you already have one to breed with.
While that was true, BFS has changed their mind, and all snowflakes are currently available but with an hourglass, so breed them now before they expire again.

So to get 3 and 4 snowflake you just breed 1 and 2 together and hope for the best?
Yes. That will work, and according to the sandbox, that's your best odds if you breed on the island, though you will get shorter average fails with other combinations.

Asking this again, is there really better odds with different combos of snowflakes? And how do we know?

I have always found the Sandbox to be a reliable guide. Where RoboTron's figures vary from default they tend to be based on experience Note the 20% chance of 3/4 using 1&2 on the island. Though based on position in the table, 1&1 has a lower average fail time.

BS,
That's what I thought
Greg,
I don't understand how those percentages can vary. My thought is that they're working them out compared to what other limiteds can be bred according to the secondary elements of those dragons. But the testing I have done, admittedly 12 months out of date now, shows that the % of limiteds adds together, rather than affects each other.

Got a few theories on how it works, but... it's not strictly additive after a certain point. There appears to be a cap and/or multiple tables.
We have seen breeding combos that would produce over 100% epic/limited dragons, yet those combos can still produce normal hybridss.
Ovalith's PANLONG + BLOOM combo during BeB, as a recent example (though as expected, people reported very high numbers of epics and limited with that combo)
My understanding is that Robotron starts with a base figure chosen for what the percentages OUGHT to be then if the fancy takes him he does some testing. To me the cave figures are default but the island figures appear to be the results of testing. But you would have to ask him about the statistical significance behind them. While there have been anomalies at times, I have generally found his corrected figures to more or less match my experience
My answer to the original question was based on a quick glance at this table. On looking at it closer though, I would be inclined to suggest 1&1 as the chance is only slightly less, but the average fail time is a LOT less. So in a given time — say a week — of constant breeding the number of breedings would overwhelm the odds and give you an overall better chance at 3/4.

The actual figures are different - with no advantage for 1+2 anymore

I am not aware of any one successfully breeding an expired epic using one normal as a parent. I know I tried a hundred or so times with snowflake (not expired) and phantom with no snowflake result. Some people have had success with expired epic and other epic though. The odds were not good though.

It's possible Snowflake is an exception to the rule, and requires two parents to make a clone.

Hey there!
The suggestions I have for you are Arcturian, Antarian or Monolith 1. These are the best because they have the shortest average fail time. Koala!

Hey there. Long time indeed. Though I noticed your game level so I knew you were still playing. I'm sue I sentbyou a gift when I knew it would be useful to you.
It has already been answered, but the short answer is the chance of success is the same with any epic/Galaxy dragon. If you are trying for seconds or eggs of any epic you have then you might want to use them.
How do you get a snowflake dragon to begin with - only combos I see are snowflake to snowflake
There will be a 5th snowflake during the event. You'll be able to exchange tickets for it. Then you can use the cooperative breeding cave to breed it with a friend's snowflake and try to get the others.
