Heya folks! I'd like to get a dream, but I missed the window to get a love dragon (way back in February). Odd that it only asks for two other resources, but with love you actually add three. Does that help with fail times? Would a motley be a good substitute in that way of thinking? Is there another alternative that might be better? Thanks!! Bonnie P.S. I have a daydream in the hatchery - SO excited!
Welcome Bonnie, We are a friendly bunch here. Make sure to stay a while and look around.
Dream needs Light and dark and at least two other elements. As such, you will ALWAYS risk a rainbow fail. (Please note @kyoji21 ) By adding an extra element, the average fail time comes down to 8.8 hours from 10 or more. But that is only part of the story. Real fail times depend on when you can get back to check your park. Take the time to check out the second tab of the Sandbox. Click on "Combo Finder" to get to it.

With a Mountain and a Rain both at Level 18, should I try for Sapphire in the Cave instead of the Island if I want to avoid Rainbow and Double Rainbow fails? Or will that significantly lower my chances of getting Sapphire, to the point that I might as well use the Island?

I think I would personally use the island. Since gemstones have such a low breeding chance, I think the island would be worth it even if it means more Rainbows. Then again, the month just started so maybe you could try the cave first. Just my 2 cents though, maybe someone else has better advice.

Id like to ask if theres any way to get a ghost dragon before the halloween event ends. Ghost can be a result of any pairing of Cold and Earth elements. If you add a Fire element to the mix then you'll also get a chance at Bone (another limited time dragon)
As for Salamander. I suggest keeping it. The Jade dragon won't be back for wuite some time, but it does require Salamander in the combo. Is there any particular reason you want to get rid of it? Are you just low on space? I notice that you have multiples of the Fire dragon. Most folk only tend to keep 2 of the each dragon since there are only 2 breeding sites. If you don't have enough room I'd suggest just selling off a Fire dragon.

Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it. Now that i think about it, if i throw obsidian in with cold, i have a chance at frostfire too! Also, i am going to try out for the gemdragons, so thank you on the advice for the salamander.

Definitely a good idea to try! You're bound to get something good out of that combo.

Century cold, earth, water Leaf light, plant, water Bicentennial lightning, air, fire Ragnarok Cyclops Gold Olympus Silver Olympic Daydream Nightmare ABYSS & HOWL required Light Rift light & dark Dark Rift light & dark Ourboros Palladium Celtic STORM & any plant type Lodestone Dodo Malachite Ironwood Mirror Abyss not limited but needed for nightmare. Any combo of dark & water. Ruin Crypt Acid Nightshade Wisp Shadow Prometheium
The good news is that most of these dragons are permanent, so there is no rush to get them right now. I marked out the permanents because you can get them after BEB ends, although getting them now is a bonus. I would put my focus on the rifts and then century & bicentennial since they will only return next BEB. I would worry about celtic last because it will return first.
If you wanted to work on all four at the same time, you could use hail & panlong in one location to give you a shot at both century & bicentennial. It has some nasty fails, but two of them are ones you need (gold & silver oly.)
You could use light & radiant to try for both rifts as well as shadow, acid, promethium, mirror, & palladium. Another good option for you would be light & ooze so that you can work on abyss instead of the metal hybrids, since abyss is needed for nightmare. A third option for working on rifts would be to breed something like lotus & nightshade. This would give you a shot at the rifts as well as leaf and abyss. However, it does have the downside of nasty fails such as dream, rainbow, DR, and prism. I don't mind adding in nasty fails most of the time if it will allow me to work on multiple goals at once. After all, I figure I am more likely to get something I want if I have several targets instead of just one. I hope you can obtain the dragons you want.

If all goes well, I should have every other dragon by mid-February (only Snowy Silver Olympus and Moonstruck to go... besides the snowflakes).

I don't think you have another dragon that will breed with your lone snowflake. As such you are probably out of luck.

I'm afraid you are going to have a lonely Snowflake until BFS decides to rerelease them. Given the earning potential I would be inclined to put it and it's habitat into mothballs until then. That way you will be able to have another, potentially higher earning habitat and dragons out.
Oddly enough, one of the parks I play sporadically received two Snowflakes but no habitat. I deliberately did not submit any Iceberries until the event was over. I am not sure what I was due to receive however. So I don't know if it was a glitch or if I didn't have enough for the second dragon, so they took away the habitat and gave me the extra dragon instead. If that was the case I would have preferred to lose the theme. I have put in a ticket to get it resolved, but no answer yet. And no #3,4 in that park either.

I'll admit that your comment about not having a habitat really confusing. The habitat was a reward you had to earn before you could earn any of the snowflake dragons!

Yes I know. Which is why I have raised a "please help" with BFS. I should have got the habitat before either dragon. But I got two and no habitats instead. I don't know whether BFS goofed, or were being nice.
It is really a moot point. I am in the process of wrapping up that park until the next event. I intend leaving it with just three or four habitats on the landing island so it is handy for party hats. But i need enough gems to do an upgrade of the Hibernation cave, and possibly the Storage Tower too first.

Hi all! Just wondering how the heck you breed the 3rd and 4th snowflake!? I have two of 1 and 2 and have been breeding non stop with different combos of each and no success! Also, those that have managed to breed the 3rd and 4th, is the breed time the same as the first 2? Cheers for your help!!

3 & 4 had a higher breed time. But they are no longer in the market So they cannot be bred now unless you already have one to breed with.

While that was true, BFS has changed their mind, and all snowflakes are currently available but with an hourglass, so breed them now before they expire again.
