Fletch, have you heard anything about Dunk and the breeding calculator and if he was going to either update it again or pass the code to another kindly nerd with a dragon fetish? That calculator was great.
This is quite a list. I'm a little handcuffed because many of these are opposite to each other. If you could make your list longer, including standard hybrids that you are missing, that would be helpful. There aren't many possibilities to double up on a list of opposite dragons.
Is it safe to assume that you have zero of the following dragons: Butterfly, Sakura, Panlong, Love, Bloom. If you have any of these, please let me know, as it will greatly improve my ability to help you.
So please get back to me and I'll give you more info.

Malachite = Metal+Willow (chance of Pollen) or Metal+Cactus (chance of Copper, which is good if you don't have one) or Metal+Swamp (chance of Quicksilver)
Frostfire = Cold+Firefly/Scorch (chance of Sun/Moon) or Cold+Forge (chance of Gold/Silver Treasure... and Forge)
BlueFire = Fire+Storm (chance of Sun/Moon) or Fire+Mine/Steel (chance of Gold/Silver Treasure... and Forge)
I don't list all the fails for these combos because I don't know what you have and what you don't have, and what you are trying to avoid. For most people, Forges and Crystals are undesirable... but maybe you don't have them yet.
Anyhow, I hope this is a good start. Get back to me with more info and we'll get you working toward a goal.

Thanks for the compliment. And I'll pass along your compliments to Poppy, the forum founder. We are also of the opinion that this forum rawks pretty hard.
As for your list. What we can do is start with a very wide combination that will give you a chance at all your missing rare dragons. And as you are lucky and breed one or two, let us know what's left and we'll help you refine the elements to eliminate needless fails.
Rainbow, Silver, Gold, and Sun:
Try Bloom + Brass, with an average fail time of around 7.5 hrs.
If you are patient, and want to increase the average selling value of your fails, you can try Butterfly + Mine/Steel, with an average fail time around 9 hrs.
But like I said, with all the elements in the pot, there are some long fails, including Forge, Copper, Steel, and Mine. But at least with these combinations, you have a chance at all the rare/epic dragons you are missing. And remember too that your iDevice's time must be between 7am and 7pm when the dragons are put in the cave in order for a Sun to be bred. You'll end up with a Moon, otherwise.

Oh how I despise crystals! 😖 What's the best way to get plasma, dodo, sandstorm, panlong, sun & rainbow while avoiding those little beasties?! BTW, thx to your magic formula (or pure luck) I got moon on 1st attempt with lichen+storm+night after many, many failed attempts elsewhere! Also... Love your park fletch...thx for the add...& see...No gems!! ;-)
QFT: Crystal Dragons are terrible and universally hated... except for maybe when you get your first one.
As for your list, it won't be easy breeding for you. Many of the dragons you need are "opposite" hybrids, which really cuts down your options. But let's get into it.
Plasma and Sun = Ice/Iceberg + Lightning (Crystal is not a possible fail by virtue of there being no Earth element. Because Plasma is an opposite, you must use a pure Lightning dragon, and not a hybrid).
Panlong and Rainbow = Mud + Blazing/FW, Lava + Rain/Fog (Crystal is not a possible fail by virtue of there being no Lightning element)
Dodo and Sandstorm can't be worked on at the same time. BUTTTT, once you get a Panlong, you can work on either Dodo or Sandstorm at the same time you work on your second Panlong.
Panlong and Dodo = Earth + Panlong Panlong and Sandstorm = Air + Panlong (Crystal is not a possible fail by virtue of there being no Lightning element. Again, with Dodo and Sandstorm being opposites, you need pure Earth/Air).
Sorry for the bad news. I wish I could find more efficient combinations for you. On the bright side, the only limited dragon on your list is Panlong. Once you have it, you will eventually get the others through trial and error going after other dragon types.

Edit, just finished reading your follow up where you announce your success with Dodo. Congrats. A straight up combo for Sandstorm is Air + Mud, whose fails are Rain, Mud, Fog.

Well, what I really want is a Rainbow. And still "need" Quicksilver, Silver, Dodo, Sandstorm. I started sometime in May, so don't have Love, Clover, Bloom, Sakura. Finally got my second Panlong recently, so I'm very happy about that. More than anything though, I want that Rainbow. Also, I have more than my share of Forge, Quake, and now, Rain. I will work on the ones you have given me and with a bit of luck I may get the sandstorm with one of the new combos you have given me as I just seem unable to get this one..... Once again thank you
Without Dunk's calculator, I am unsure which is the shortest rainbow combo these days that does not result in any other rares (i.e. No moons, suns, olympi, seasonals, ducks, etc.). What is it with all the new, crazy dragons going around?
