I've been sort of doing my own shrine grind thing without too much thought to efficiency. I'm not in a huge hurry as I know the journey is half the fun. Of course I will then try and level one of each dragon to 20 and that will take forever so I'll never be completely done. Anyway, I'd love to see what you suggest as efficient ways to get the grind done.
I have Fire - Gold with 54 Earth - 37 Air - 33 Plant - 28 Cold - 27 Lightening - 24 Water -20 Metal - 9
I have at least 2 of every dragon avail for breeding. I've been breeding paper and bloom, but know that doesn't cover all the elements I need.
And no hurry on a reply.

That is bad news. I wonder if I can appeal to backflip that I was unable to play during that time due to injuries received in combat. Maybe they'll feel bad enough to give me one? One can wish.

So you need
13 Earth 17 Air 22 Plant 23 Cold 26 Lightning 30 Water 41 Metal.
13 Panlong and 22 Bloom is a good start.
4 Air 1 Cold 4 Lightning 17 Water 41 Metal
17 Rust, 4 Magnetic, 4 Chrome and 1 Mine will leave
15 Metal
So let's break down 5 of those Panlongs for 5 Chrome, Iron and Rust which will give us
22 Bloom 22 Rust 9 Chrome 8 Panlong 5 Iron 4 Magnetic 1 Mine

Sorry sir. If it helps, I do believe they will find a loop hole somewhere, sometime, to allow people to get LYD and Paper and those other Rares that are not an annual rerelease.

Maybe, maybe not. They are bringing back the original Halloween and Christmas, adding new so maybe they will offer the new plus the previous anniversary dragons. We will have to wait and see.

Yes we will. That would actually be pretty cool. Can you imagine a new player in September 2020 who suddenly has 10 anniversary dragons to breed in a couple of weeks. That would be awesome.

I had much fun learning about DragonVale from my granddaughter when I spent a few weeks in Alaska with her last Spring. We're 3000 miles apart now, and my daughter has cut off contact with the g-kiddie (we had an argument and her tender feelings have yet to recover, so she's punishing me *sigh*), making DV even more important to me than ever. We can't talk, but we say 'Hi. I love you' every day with dragon gems. Her mom will get over it eventually, and we'll be talking and Skype-ing all the time. (Sorry 'bout going so far OT, Tommy.)
So, BOT. My Earth and Fire Shrines went gold last week while I was busy trying to get a Lunar Eclipse Dragon (STILL don't have one!).
I have pairs of every standard dragon and all the opposites except Plasma. I have no Blooms or Clovers, but I do have all the limited dragons between Butterfly and Reindeer. I'm still missing the Moon, Gold Olympus, and Seasonal Dragons.
I have: 23 Panlongs, 1 at Level 16, the rest are at Level 15 8 Paper, all Lv 15
My remaining shrines tell me that I need: Lightning 22 Metal 29 Water 16 Plant 14 Cold 18 Air 24
I'm breeding Iron Dragons for cash to buy food.

And now that Fire and Earth are out of the mix you can only work on two elements at a time, so Storm, Chrome and Seaweed will be the quickest way to go for most of them. Will work out exact numbers when I'm not typing on my iPhone.

It's like a magical dream picturing the years of eyesight if have from not having to squint my eyes so much. But you know what? If it means losing my sight to be able to communicate with you great folks, then that's a risk I'd take any day. Why you may ask? Because you can't a price on the quality, loyal, friendships we have here. But, if I'd have to estimate the worth, I'd put it right at an iPad. After all, they say the greatest gift of all is giving.

14 Rust, 3 Magnetic, 5 Chrome and 1 Fog will finish it off nicely.
