I must tell you I've been doing it manually up till now. But our new forum member Rynoster and I have been working on a spreadsheet to automate the process. We hope to have a beta test out for people to use pretty shortly ...
Indeed we have, and I think it is pretty cool. We have put in a lot of work into it. We have gone through about 15 versions already, having to go back to the drawing board a few times.
Fletch and I are still in the process of some testing and then once Fletch gives the go-ahead will I share the first beta version.

I made a couple of modifications, and now you can use it as a tool for "what do I still need?" Just enter in the number from the shrines on the "pre-existing" line, and you're on your way.
Good |uck!
I'll have to give this a try tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to work it.
It adds up to about 2.28 dragons per day, which is 745 849 treats per day, costing you 37 292 450 DC. That totals up to 15 072 360 treats and 753 618 000 DC.
I have to admit I cheated a bit. I used the automated spreadsheet to do it.
This would then also be the first sneak peek, maybe you can help with the cosmetics of the spreadsheets in terms of positioning and looks?
I'm still ironing out a few bugs I picked up... And then of course Fletch needs to sign off. Sorry about the delay, full-time job, 4- and 16-month old boys keeping me busy.

I am almost too embarassed to say this... but I swooned when I saw your spreadsheet. I'm a sucker for anything Excel. (I made a nifty little tracking sheet for my shrine grind a short while ago)

Ready for the grind. Here is my goal....one of each dragon to crown...I have bloom, Panlong and paper... Actually excited! I have virtually nothing to lvl 15. I have patiently waited...until the timing was perfect

Excellent plan, however long it may take you. koala!

Awesome. Spreadsheets are not cheating, they are a tool! Thanks. I am thinking I should upgrade my hibernation cave first.
I was able to fix it easily enough, although now I need to check what I broke along the way.
Both will work by the way, the first option will actually do it 4 days faster as you'll see, at least you have multiple options, i.e. if you have treats or DC stockpiled.

Anyway, back to the drawing board...
Oh I have no doubt that the numbers all add up both ways. Though with more dragons in fewer days you need to earn 37 million DC per day to generate enough food to level them up as you get them. We should possibly do another check of that now that the large epic habitats are available. It might be easier to earn that much now.
But nice work as always, sir. Will be emailing you shortly.

Another interesting factor which is actually happening to me right now, is that with a bad gem dragon run, I find myself stock-piling treats as I can't breed the shrine grind dragons.
However, this will be tough to factor into the final build, and like you said, the aim is to do it with as little dragons as possible. One step at a time, although it's 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.
Any ideas on the layout though? I'm left-brain orientated so I'm not exactly the most creative in the world, hence my symmetric island design.

I'm assuming this is version 9-5? I can't open it, sir. Can you just have a look to check it's shareable or whatever?

10-4 now, uploaded, but beware, not very stable at the moment...

So you tried to insert the PCL in between Pass 1 and 2? I know I suggested it, but if it's a bad idea it's a bad idea. How about if the first PCL pass was first? Then the 2 FWAE passes?
