Fletch my adopted account, truly because I am a DV addict. Shrines all bronze. Level 10 dragons Plant 15 Earth 22 Fire. 25 Cold. 21 Light.10 Water18 Air. 19 Metal 14
11 panlongs and 2 blooms Level 26
No rush whenever you have the time, much appreciated your mathiness. Thanks in advance. Kathleen
Because you don't have any Silver Shrines yet, my advice is to just work towards the Golds, and the Silvers will take care of themselves. Use my standard numbers ...
50 Bloom (Cold, Plant and Lightning Shrines) 37 Panlong (Earth, Fire, Water and Air) 13 Brass 13 Rust 12 Chrome 12 Iron 1 Sandstorm
138 Dragons for 400 Elements.
... as the most efficient way to get 50 of each element to Level 15.
Put a Panlong in about 6 or 7 of an evening, then the morning it hatches put in a couple of short Metal Hybrids to get you to that evening to put a Bloom in. Another short breed hybrid the next day, and a Panlong that evening. Rinse and repeat.
As you won't be able to feed them up to Level 15 till you get one of your shrines, silver, you'll just be stockpiling them at level 10 for a little while. Make sure you have the Hibernation Cave upgraded twice to hold 100 dragons.
Silver shrines. Lightning 0/50 Fire 0/50 Plant 0/50 Earth 0/50
Bronze shrines Water 12/50 Cold 41/50 Air 14/50 (not built) Metal 7/50 (not built)
Bloom dragons x 8 Panalong x 0 (cry)
I have both the NBC and EBI. So I will continue to try for the Panalong.
Thanks for your help. No rush at all either. Tracey
Hi Tracy,
So if I'm reading this right, you have no level 15 dragons yet? But Lightning, Fire, Plant and Earth are Silver?
If that's the case, then pretty much read the post above yours with the standard breeding guide for shrines as it's the most efficient.
Your priority at this point should be in making a pair of Panlongs, so keep breeding Blazing + Mud or Lava + Fog in the EBI. You will get them eventually.
The other thing is in getting the Hibernation Cave as upgraded as possible so you can store most of these dragons after you've fed them up.
In the mean time, if you want to break the monotony, you can start on the Blooms and the Metal Hybrids to help you on your way.
Fletch, I have a challenge for you. I'm trying to get my shrines to gold, and I will list before what they all are at currently. My twist is that I only want to make use of special dragons for the grind. Love, Bloom, Sakura. Obviously there's no metal or air in there, so I know it won't be exclusively them. Panlong is okay, too. So I guess Love, Bloom, Sakura, Panlong, (Clover is useless for shrine grind, unfortunately) and then whatever else fills in the gaps. Are you up to this challenge?
Here is the current state of the shrines: Air: 6 Cold: 1 Earth: 6 Fire: 7 Lightning: 1 Metal: 0 Plant: 2 Water: 6

Thank you Fletch. Your spot on, no I don't have any level 15 dragons, I have several Blooms at level 13. I will work on getting the blooms to 15 while I continue to aim for a Panalong breeding pair. I have my cave to the second level now. Will save gems for the further upgrade. Tracey

No water in their either ... you're going to need Panlongs. So you need
44 Air 49 Cold 44 Earth 43 Fire 49 Lightning 50 Metal 48 Plant 44 Water
Sakura - Plant, Fire Earth Bloom - Plant, Cold, Lightning Love - Plant, Fire, Lightning Panlong - Fire, Earth, Water, Air
49 Bloom because it's the only Cold.
44 Air 44 Earth 43 Fire 50 Metal 44 Water
25 Chrome and 25 Rust to get rid of the Metal then 19 Panlong to finish off Air and Water.
Gold grind... My numbers are: Plant 43/50 Water 12/50 Air 13/50 Metal 0/50 Earth 13/50 Cold 24/50 Lightning 37/50
I have 7 blooms in the cave ready to feed. Fire is gold so no need there...
Thanks a bunch...
No probs, sweetie. So you need:
7 Plant 38 Water 37 Air 50 Metal 37 Earth 26 Cold 13 Lightning
7 Bloom will knock of the Plant element. Then 19 Mine and 6 Magnetic will tidy up Cold and Lightning. 1 Rust will even up the Panlong elements to leave us with.
37 Water 37 Air 24 Metal 37 Earth
8 Each of Iron, Chrome and Rust will finish off the Metal and and leave 29 Panlongs to finish everything off. So
29 Panlongs @ 36 hours = 1044 hours or 43.5 days 19 Mine @ 10 hours = 190 hours or 8 days 7 Bloom @ 13 hours = 91 hours or 3.8 days 6 Magnetic @ 4 hours = 24 hours 9 Rust @ 6 hours = 54 hours 8 Chrome @ 5 hours = 40 hours 8 Iron @ 4 hours = 32 hours
86 dragons @ 1475 hours or 61.5 days. 1.4 dragons per day.
Now that's a pretty slow going pace, so let's look at getting rid of as many Mines and Panlongs as we can. If we break them back down we have
19 Cold 19 Metal 29 Air 29 Water 29 Earth
If we do 10 Snow and 9 Ice/Iceberg That will leave us with
19 Metal 19 Air 20 Water 29 Earth
10 Iron and 1 Rust Leaves
8 Metal 19 Air 19 Water 19 Earth
3 Iron, 3 Rust and 3 Chrome leaves 16 Panlongs to finish off those last 3 elements. So the alternative total is
94 dragons @ 1060 or 44 days 2.13 dragons per day. So more dragons required, but a faster time frame and you should still be able to keep pace with the food requirements of about 35 million DC each day if you're breeding one cave for cash.

Thanks a bunch!!! Boy do I have a long way to go!!!!

Then to tidy up we have 3 Mine, 2 Magnetic, 5 Rust, 3 Brass and 3 Chrome
17 Water 17 Air 17 Earth 17 Fire 15 Metal
4 more Rust, Brass, Chrome + Iron will get rid of Metal and leave 13 Panlong. So the totals are
33 Bloom 13 Panlong 9 Rust 7 Brass 7 Chrome 4 Iron 3 Mine 2 Magnetic
So 1 more of each of the Metal hybrids and 1 less Panlong. I will guess that was my mistake.
Fletch,
I seriously doubt it was your mistake at all!!!! I may have mixed up some numbers while trying to keep track!!! Thank you so very much again for your expertise!!! I very much appreciate it!!!

Hey Fletch and Tricia...
I was playing around to see if it was possible for me to try to start figuring out how to do this....NOT that I would dare try to ever replace Fletch or his astounding value!!!! I just want to hone my skills to help myself and my kids. So I was figuring out Tricia's and PLEASE....FLETCH....Tell me if I got it right or wrong or just not thinking clearly!!!

101 dragons total and 667 hours for 27.79 days of breeding in one cave.
Would this actually work??? Just checking on my thought process.
April, I'm not got to double check your numbers, but it sure looks like it would. You've replaced all the Panlongs with Fog, Mud and Sandstorm which can be a viable alternative, particularly as she is only breeding Panlongs for 3 elements. The main thing is that now you have decreased the number of breeding days and increased the number of dragons, you now have to feed up approx 4 dragons a day to Level 15 which requires nearly 65 million in DC which is pretty hard to sustain with only 1 cave breeding for cash. So it means instead of waiting for Panlongs to hatch, you're waiting for the coins required to feed them.
A combination of Panlong + Fog/Mud/Sandstorm dragons would probably find a happy medium, and if we could calculate the earnings from each persons park through sweeping and 1 breeding cave we could work out the exact ratio, I reckon.

Ok I like this bc I hate selling my pans... The fogs have good value for selling and so do the sandstorms.. But is there another dragon that I can replace the mud with? And I use my HC to store the dragons that I need to lv up... So I can breed and store while I am collecting coins...

That's a great point!!! I haven't thought of it that way. Good points to consider. Plus I just realized the amount that I get from party hats is increasing considerably! That also makes a good bit of difference in food growing capability. Thanks so much for the insight Fletch!

Tricia, you could actually breed 7 more sandstorms and 7 more fogs with same results except you will have 14 extra air. On the other hand you will have a whole lot more on the re-sale side! Since MUDs only sell for 5k and sandies sell for 500k and fogs a cool 1mil!!! That amounts to a lot more dc for food too!!
So that would be 21 sandstorms @ 2 hours = 42 hours 22 fog @ 8 hours = 176 hours
Total 653 hours or 27.21 days.

Pretty sure MUDs sell for 250k ...
But resale value is a good point. April would you like to do a comparison between the two showing the difference in time, DC for food to level them up and return on resale. That will give us a Net Figure of how much it will cost compared to the time required.
