Haha, that would be alot of fun. But how can you tell exactly how many health points your bot has remaining? Do bots have a pre-defined amount of health we could count based on what they were hit for during the fight?

pl4tinum's battle log:
Battle Bots & Combos
Guaranteed Win Combos (assumes melee gizmo): - Grinder + (Solar, Laser, Carrier, Aloe, Caterpillar, Harvester) - very difficult to lose with a red disc grinder in the lead. - Mole + (Solar, Laser, Carrier, Aloe, Caterpillar, Harvester) - again, very difficult to lose, especially vs caterpillar lead.
Lead bots that do not require a specific bot in the back to succeed the majority of the time: Mole (Cheese Grater: Speed++, Melee++) - Tons of health, hits well Nature (Water Cannon: Melee+, Speed++) - Tons of health, hits adequately Caterpillar (Stinger: Ranged+++) - Tons of health, hits adequately Grinder (Disc: Speed+++) - Average health, monster hits Trainer (Elf Shoes: Melee+++, Speed+++) - Average to low health, massive hits
Lead bots that do require a specific bot in the back to succeed the majority of hte time: Mining - Can win on its own if it crits, barring that, a Solar bot will usually carry it to victory (Thanks Wapatango) Yeti - Needs a Solar to carry it. (Thanks Wapatango) Caterpillar - Generally you'll want a Laser, Solar, or Aloe in the back. Floodlight - Can take over a fight if he gets lucky crits, but if he doesn't, he often dies fast. Toss a top end rear bot back there.
Lead bots that you really don't want to use unless you've got weak/low level opponents: Geo bot - Seems to have been upgraded, he was hitting for 80+ against a lvl 14 caterpillar w/axe.
Rear bots that can influence a fight heavily in your favor: Repair - Don't hit hard, but provide 30 health to your main bot each round. Great with a Mole, good with a Grinder. Harvester - They eventually start hitting pretty strong if your main bot can last a few extra hits as it builds charge. Solar - Destroys everything in sight. Best rear bot in the game, IMO. On another level from the other rear bots due to crits. Caterpillar - Decent hits, lots of health. One of the more reliable rear bots. Not going to overcome a huge deficit tho. Aloe - Consistently rains down hits in the 50 point range. Definitely one of the strongest besides solar. Laser - Hits well, if the fight lasts a while, he can start critting pretty nicely. 3rd or 4th strongest rear bot in my opinion. Carrier - Hits very well, can crit. Does above average damage. One of the top 3 or 4 rear bots, especially in the beginning.
Rear bots that are average: Bot-anist - Average hits, good health for a rear bot. Can finish a fight off in a positive way. Flower - Average hits, good health for a rear bot. Look for it to drop 35-45 points per hit and occasionally win one. Performer - Crits on every hit for some reason. Too bad they are all in the 25-35 range. In a long fight, may help out. Cupid - Hits just well enough to win, if your front bot had a good day.
Rear bots that you really don't want to use unless you've got weak/low level opponents: Bouncer - You'd think he'd be a stud.. but he's a dud. Low hits, low health, low win percentage. Geo - Just plain crappy in rear, even with the melee axe. Hits for like 20-40. Nearly a guaranteed loss even with RD Grinder. X-Ray - Just plain fudge. Hits poorly, takes hits poorly. Grav - Consistently below average. Magnet - Might be the best of the worst. Science - A total wimp. The occasional decent hit, from what I remember. Very difficult to level up. Hammer - Again, you'd think he would be awesome with two spiked maces... but he just isn't. Spray - They make a ton of cash, so you naturally want to boost their production $. Very, very hard to do. Wimps. Microscope - Again, just like science bot. Pretty wimpy. Rock - At one point it seemed like he could be a good lead bot, but he's not, nor is he good in the rear. fudge. Welder - Worthless, truly worthless. Builder - Semi decent hits, but not good enough to lean on. Plus he's pointless to max out, in a zone with a 750 cash cap.
I don't have much "brain data" for Lead bots in Rear bot roles, because there is usually a shortage of bots that are good in the Lead and I focus on using them solely in that spot.
Counter-Bots (from my experience only, this may not always work; assuming fighting gizmo equipped) - Mole bot absolutely tears up Caterpillar bots. Nature-on-Nature crime, I suppose. - Grinder is one of the better matchups against a Caterpillar.
Astro/Steam/Thermal win about 98% of the fights automatically, fighting gizmo or not, it seems.
I will try to update this whenever I figure out something cool and new. If anyone here has anything to add or thinks is incorrect please let me know. I am basing this off my memory since I fight several times a day (using crystals to get more fights, I love the battles) and my notes from battles I've fought and won/lost.

thanks :-) feel free to add/suggest... i will update it!!
just did a fight with a grinder in the front and a spray bot in the back and won handily thanks to the grinder making minced meat out of a level 13 caterpillar and a level 15 laser almost singlehandedly.
this makes me happy since spray bots are ridiculously hard to level up compared to alot of the other bots, and if you can get them to 110% bonus, you're looking at 105+ cash per minute i believe.

I think something they could add to the game that would really bring a new level of fun to it would be to assign bots more gizmos that do different things in the arena. For instance, give each bot another weapon that allows them to be both a front and rear bot. At the very least, it would be fun if they varied the opponents a bit. Caterpillar/laser almost every single time gets a little redundant.
I find it interesting that you had trouble with rock and spray. Those were easy for me, but I'll have to reuse them to figure out what I did. I just recently started keeping records. Also, I've been testing geo & solar. I've only lost 2 battles and 1 geo is 100%. I think that's the winning combo.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

Yeah, I just never had any luck with Rock bot anywhere in the lineup for me. I wouldn't doubt that almost anything that can take 3 or 4 hits without dying can give a Solar enough time to win the fight. I just don't like losing the fights, ever... and I know Geo is super good at losing
Dumb question. How does hydro go in the arena? And does it fight alone? I ask as it is the only epic I have. I am at level 15 and the system is putting laser bots up against me. Desperation on the program's part methinks!
My hydro is L10 & no battle gizmo, but I should be able to afford that by the morning thanks to the generosity of friends. And I should be able to get it up to L12 or 13 tomorrow. Or should I concentrate on getting my L14 mole with cheese grater to L15?

It goes ok, not as good as steam with the gizmo however.
I would recommend that you keep using your level 15 bots until you can afford to level your hydro to 15.
In the mean time, you might win the hydro gizmo in the battle arena, so I'd hold off buying it until you are ready to fight with the hydro (i.e. once you have him at level 15).
PS. Are you exploiting the 'build a builder zone' and 'deploy a builder bot' goals? These will level you up very quickly and provide a LOT of robux and food.

Solar bot is by far so much better than any other rear bot in the game, it's scary. I have recently won fights with a Luck bot without the melee gizmo, Spray bot with poison, and Beat Bot with melee gizmo in the front, by having a Solar in the back. You can lose from time to time with a garbage bot in the front but man, if you wanna level their cash generation percentage up, it's solar all the way.

Tried microscope and Solar to test out the theory. Really seemed like I was going to get creamed, but it all worked out against our old favourites caterpillar and laser. Got my last Nuclear Gizmo to boot. Thanks for the awesome advice.

Haha, talk about a nice bonus on that one!
I got my Nuke bot Missiles last night too, on my first fight with my new Nuclear bot! Talk about another fluke.
Only word of caution I'd throw out there is that if you ever come up against a Red Disc Grinder, do not put a crappy bot in the front even with a solar in the back. You will lose, lol.

That's what I get nearly every time. And I can't remember the last time I got any type of gizmo as a reward, let alone something as useful as a battle gizmo.

First thing this morning I put in Microscope + Solar against Grinder + ? and got spanked. Bad. lol Wish I had checked in here first.
You really want to level that Microscope don't cha
For fun I tried a solar in the front and solar in the back. Actually worked pretty well! Also helps that I have about 25 solar bots. LOL!
lol. Quite the reverse. I have no interest in levelling any of them. I have them named by their gizmo, and Astro-Virus is at the top of my alphabetised list.
won using grinder disk and proformor mic. also not all porformer bots his are criticle. got a 14 damage normal hit
