I HATE (but really want) THE TOPAZ DRAGON

The I HATE THE TOPAZ DRAGON COMPETITION is a race to be the last person to breed the gemstone dragon for the month of November. The loser (the last person in the race to breed the gemstone dragon) receives at least a gem from all the participants; a meagre reward for the pain of being last.

Rules:
- All participants agree to ante up a gem into the competition pot. Participants are welcome to wager more than one gem. Participants send out their gems when a winner is announced.
- In the event of a tie (complete failure by multiple participants to breed the gemstone dragon before the end of the month [gasp]), the pot is split between the losers with off-rounded gems going to the next I HATE THE XYZ DRAGON COMP.
- Participation is reserved for members of this DragonVale Community who are high enough level to breed this month's gemstone dragon.
- All participants promise to constantly use at least one breeding site for the competition. If a participant has only one breeding site, it must be used constantly for the competition. If you don't already have the gemstone Dragon parents when the combination is announced, it is acceptable to use your breeding site to breed them.
- Have fun
- Be honest

Mechanics:
- Announce your participation by replying to this thread. Please include your GCID, without which I won't add you to the competition.
- Please modify your forum profile so that you are notified by email when you receive a forum PM. I use PMs to get in touch with participants. If I can't get a hold of you by PM, I will resort to emailing your personal account.
- Reply to this thread when you have successfully bred this month's gemstone dragon.
- This competition is self-policed; by including your GCID with your registration, participants can visit each other's parks and check up on each other
- If a new shiny limited dragon comes out and you want to focus on breeding it, you can withdraw from this competition. Note, though, that you are still on the hook to send a gem to the winner.
- I will post in this thread to announce when registration for participation is closed. I might let one or two squeak in after, depending on my mood.

Your choice. Nobody really wants to Win so many breed both caves when they can some even accelerate. U have to continuously breed for the dragon is the main rule and Myke runs friendly checks..

Yep, that's it. As long as I can see the combination working furiously in one breeding site or the other or both, you are playing by the "rules".

You might also wonder:
- it is acceptable for, on day 1 or day 2, for other dragons to be in your caves. For example, perhaps you were unlucky enough to breed Rainbow dragons in both of your sites right before the combination was found. I'm not going to punish you for that. Or perhaps you don't have one of the parents, so use your sites to breed the missing parent(s).
- accidents happen. I've received PMs from embarrassed competitors who threw two Crystal Dragons into their breeding site, instead of Crystal+Other. No big deal.

I've been sending koala gems to the last few cats for about a week now, so if you want to be specific it will be something like

6th - 2 gems
5th - 2 gems
4th - 4 gems
3rd - 6 gems
2nd - 8 gems
1st - 9 gems

But rather than make the OP an unholy mess, just put me down for 1 gem to the winner and I'll take care of the rest.

Also, if Citrine is Novembers Gemstone dragon you're going to look awfully silly.

Great generosity! I'll put you down for just one, and leave it to you, as you suggest.

So far, BFS has been sticking to the latest American monthly gemstones, which is why I went with Topaz. I might be wrong, and I'll change the subject and OP accordingly. But, I'm not Pixie, so I might be right...
