I'm happy to play along in this competition, though I must admit that I'm just barely starting to feel my way through this game and I'm not quite sure I even have what I need to get the astro. I did just manage to get a Mole Bot and it's almost ready to incubate. I'm at level 10 right now so I should be able to get it. I certainly will try. We need a second breeding site though. I am still trying to get the basic hybrids but I imagine I can manage to try for those while trying for Astro at the same time so I stay within the rules of this competition.
I'm hoping so too because I don't have all the hybrids yet either to even try for this. I have the ones that it says "might" work, but not the ones listed in the Sandbox as the best combo. I don't even have the ability to have the Repair Zone yet. And I'm more than halfway through level 10

I agree, more successful breedings would be very helpful.

We're all in the situation; just stumbling along in a dark hallway; hanging on to each others' hands for support.
So far I've seen 3 combos reported as successful. Grinder + Mole Grinder + Harvester Carrier + Harvester
Will report more as we come across them. Please post if anyone comes across one.
Lovely, just got another Caterpillar from Grinder and Harvester... Should have waited for the Mole.
My first Mole is 8 minutes away from coming off the assembly line. Grinder + Mole will be my next try with it. Would be something to be out of the comp before it even started.

I'm attempting to get into this thing, level 7 now I think, might be hardprssed to make it to level 9 by tomorrow though. While I feel like a babe in the woods in this game, liking the aspect of visitors speeding things up and the more itemized view letting you know who helped out. If I can make it level 9 in time, I'm in. Might need some crystals to help that along though, or maybe someone to log on and play as me while I get some sleep tonight. Trip to NYC cancelled due to the hurricane aftermath so I'm now online (instead of mostly offline for the weekend)
