My vale has been flickering just like this, on and off, for the past few weeks. Maybe 5 or 6 times I can remember. But only on the top half of the screen, very weird.
should I be doing anything? I play on an iPad mini 5th gen, that I bought last fall just to play on.
When those of us who participate in the flickering issue put our Hooded dragons in hibernation the flickering cleared up and then when we let them out to slither again the flickering returned. If you put them in hibernation you lose the dc from them but no flickering in park if you leave out you get dc and have flickering. You will have to make that call. As far as I know we all let ours out to play again. My iPad was bought this last May 2020 and I have the flickering so not your iPad. The flickering is in different parts of our parks...I believe it depends where your Hooded dragons call home in your park because I moved mine and when I did the flickering changed location.
Mine is out, because I am breeding non stop for Vipera. But the flickering is relatively new for me. I don’t know if there is a secondary cause related to the redecorating I am doing.
I am not getting the option to watch the video for 2 gems and DC after collecting from the colosseum. It goes straight to choosing a new dragon. Did they remove that option or is this just happening to me?
I recall we had a conversation about this several months ago, and I provided this link. It worked for you, and you were able to watch the Colosseum ad (scroll down to the COLOSSEUM section).
As wapatango, lisgie, (and greggerman before them) pointed out, some players use the Sponsor Gem in the Treasure section of the Market as an indicator that the Colosseum ad is available. Personally, I find it easier to wait for Tolzar’s Optical Oracle to appear, since it’s highly visible in your park and doesn’t require switching to the Market (the Market can load slowly on devices with less RAM, so it’s more time-consuming). But whichever method you prefer should work. To be clear, the green arrow appearing on the Optical Oracle is different than the Optical Oracle itself appearing. Since the other issue that causes players to lose the Colosseum ad is their session is too long (eating up their device’s RAM), the method many players use to ensure the Colosseum ad plays is to (1) open their game, (2) wait for Tolzar’s Optical Oracle to appear in a puff of blue dust, (3) complete the Colosseum and watch ad. While the Optical Oracle and the Gem Sponsor are helpful indicators to let you know the Colosseum ad is available, they’re useless if your device doesn’t have enough RAM to play the ad because your session was too long.
Btw, if anyone is having difficulties with the Colosseum, Sponsor Gem, or Oracle ads, tips to troubleshoot are in the ED.
Yes, I do recall the conversation and the link and that the advice worked for me, LOL I'm not that forgetful yet . But then the problem was that I was not getting a gem AFTER I watched the video, but I still got the option to watch a video and I still saw the video just didn't get the reward. Now I am not even getting the option to chose to watch a video for the 2 extra gems reward. It seemed like the option to watch a video for a reward could possibly have been removed. I thought it was a different issue because that particular thing had not happened to me before and I was following the advice on how to avoid the issue of not getting gems after watching a video. What I have been doing is to collect from the colosseum immediately and not do anything else first and also to make sure Tolzar's Optical Oracle is there and has an arrow before I do it. So if this problem can be resolved the exact same way, I am not sure why it is happening to me at all. But I will now ALSO check for the Gem Sponsor crystal ball and see if that helps.

Looking for a bit of help from a Techie. I contacted Apple to ask if the new IPad Pro 11” had 6GB of RAM (all the better to play Dragonvale). They didn’t know , so would anyone here know or where I can find out for sure. I googled it but don’t like relying on the information there. Thanks.
Annoyingly, Apple has never added RAM to their product specs. The easiest way to find any (Apple, Android, etc) device’s RAM is to Google '(the device) + RAM'. A search for 'iPad Pro 11 RAM' resulted in this:
I have an iPad Pro with 6GB RAM. The only drawback I’ve found when playing DV is I’ve gone absolutely nuts and have zillions of twinkling, sparkling, animated decorations everywhere, so now my iPhone 8 (2GB RAM) can’t manage my park anymore. As a result, I can never go back to playing with less RAM. But it’s worth it to have 100 Starlight Spruces. Enjoy all your new RAM, and going decoration overboard!

I noticed this after I moved my twin hooded from the storage tower to the park a week ago. With just the regular, non-twin version in the park no flickering. Moving the twin to storage stopped the flickering.
The paradise habitats are just like Omnitats, right? They don’t have a banner or any special decorations???

For this reason, I was thinking to split up the paradise habitats and put one on my Moon island, which I’m redoing now.

I have a paradise island and on one of the habitats are my Coldcoil dragons. Others I used on the island(#22)where my Hidden dragons are and put my Apex dragons on one. Then next door on island (#23) I put paradise habitats and have Ignis and other dragons on paradise habitats. There are also some on the overgrown island. You are welcome to come visit and look.😁

I have an update today for dragonvale. It says Bug Fixes. I had to hold down the screen and pull down to get it to show. I haven’t done it yet. Anyone else seeing this?

I updated and there aren’t any changes that I can see in the game. It’s probably like the description said just bug fixes on their end. If I notice anything different I’ll post it here.
Last weekend was the first Dragonvale Trivia. Normally it's done at your local DragINN, over some food and ale, with groups competing to be the best. Online, we had to make some allowances, so we ran it over the course of the Saturday and Sunday, allowing people to compete when they had the chance. If you didn't play along then, you can do so now. The questions are at dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/post/200432/thread with the answers a couple of posts below. Everything is under spoiler tags, so you don't have to worry about seeing something before you are supposed to.
But it was a little bit of a bland looking affair, with it just being words on a screen. This weekend we'll be brightening the Triv up, with Dragonvale in Pictures. It will go live close to midnight Friday, BFS time, and run till around midnight on Sunday. Plenty of time to jump on in, and see how good your Dragonvale knowledge is. Hope to see you there.

Apologies to all my gem buddies for not gifting gems as usual. My tablet is in pretty rough shape, and I've officially reached the point where DragonVale is becoming almost impossible to play.
The game crashes so many times, and I often find myself trying for two hours just to get into my park. It's frustrating. And to be honest, I think it might be due to my tablet being too old to handle the game anymore.
I was going to get a new tablet, but then the one I wanted sold out. So it's back to square one in terms of shopping for a new device. And let me tell you, online shopping isn't fun when your tablet randomly decides to shut down and restart for no apparent reason.
I'll still be around, and I'll still be sending gems whenever I can manage to get into my park. Don't count me out just yet! I'm just having a bit of a delay in progress is all.

Just realized how many level 1 Rifted Dragons I have hiding in the Hibernation Cave. I'm slowly using "the mats" to bring them up to level 10. Hopefully someday we'll have a Rift expansion and these poor dragons will be able to fly freely.
I am 3 days away from next wish. I will be wishing for the most expensive Island available, so I can expand a little bit.
How close are you? And what’s on the top of your wish list?
I’ll be buying more real estate also. With my last two wishes, I expanded my lost island, at the top of the park, and bought the Overgrown Island, all the way at the bottom. I recently received another wish, this I’ll most likely trade for another island. But not just yet, I might need it for Earth Effigy that I’m still lacking and need to breed the Ghosties. 👻
