Apparently I hit the Koala jackpot this morning. Bronze (finally) on the island and Topaz (to check off the "goal" BFS set for me) in the cave. And with that Bronze, I will *finally* have all the dragons. 14 months after I started playing. Phew. And, of course, now it it time for Dark to be released - and with my luck, Dark & its hybrids will be released before my Bronze hatches. I'll never be "caught up"
I tell you, there is something magical about breeding between 5:45-6:15a.m. local time. That is when I have my best results.
Congrats! I know from experience that it's hard to get that last dragon. I've had it happen where I was only a few hours away from hatching the final dragon, but then having a new dragon be realeased. You may want to speed the Bronze up if you can... we're for sure getting the quarterly gemstone this week D:
Oooh, yes! Didn't think about that and I just got the "last call" for Amber., as well. You're right - if I wait, then I've not hit the "I've got them all" point until next year sometime...maybe.
I need to cowboy up and ignore the "but...but...I will have to part with GEMS!" whine that my inner hoarder will be doing and speed up this sucka!!!

BFS did it w/ Amber. For 3 days, you can purchase the dragon for 150 gems, and pedestal for 30 gems or so.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Though if they really want to bank, BFS would discount at both the first few days of release, as well as the last call days. Nothing makes me spend more gems than knowing the dragon's expiration date is up.
Amber was the only dragon that BFS had offered such a discount, at the time I thought that BFS was testing the market.
Qtrly dragons hang around for 3 months...most if not all player should have gotten one or multiples dragons already so discount on few last days would not bank much $.
Limiteds, I can see BFS could offer discount on the first few days of release but at the last call days, idk, it seems borderline tacky and/or greedy.

Newer players who joined during the quarter might not have had a chance, but might have the gems for a discounted purchase. (Or willingness to spend money for gems)
I understand what you're saying about it being tacky/greedy. Doesn't quite fit with the BFS personality.

Finally!!! After filling the empty spaces on four islands with bushes, I have, with help, gotten the giant dark reward. My green thumb may never return; how I wish you could sell all of a decoration from your park at the same time.
I couldn't resist to spend some gems to get a better shot at Amber before it went. If you listen closely you can hear a hundred koala's chanting my name! 100gems well spend imo. Now to start saving them again for giant metal habitat upgrades.

I'm *still* trying for my second Autumn. Breeding with an Autumn + Spring has produced: 2 Suns, 2 Moons, 2 Rainbows, 1 Spring and 1 Summer. No Autumns! Send some Koala!

I've seen the 'last call - quarterly gem' thread mentionning 'Ash + Frostfire'. (post by frizzlechicken). And its also the combination given on the sandbox for Jet.
