I'm getting aggravated with the game. I've been trying and trying for sun struck and finally got one. Retry the same breeding and got another. 2 in a row? Why so hard to begin with? That's not the big aggravation though, I'm already at level 60, and still have 11.5 billion dc. Just not fun to grow food and crown dragons anymore. As soon as my sun struck hatches, my dragonarium will be twinkling again. I guess after playing since sept of 12' I'm getting tired of the game.
Level 60 and 11.5 billion DC!!! That is impressive. I play three Dragonvale games. In my third park, I got most of my hybrid dragons by fails. For the second park, I did not collect any eggs until recently and set a new goal. I am trying to get all hybrid and epic dragon eggs (except for opposite and limited) by fails. I hope you can find your own way to enjoy the game again.
Sigh. I have a feeling I'm going to miss out on Sunstruck. I'm still trying to get a Peridot before it expires, and the koalas are scarce. I also will still need to breed a mirage before I can even try, and have had no luck with that either. With less than a day to try, both sites are busy with cactus and crystal... Who clearly are not "getting busy"
bansidh, I hope your dragons "get busy" and come through for you. I don't have any Pixie dust or any other special magic, but I'm sending encouragement your way.
Thanks rulilind. Your encouragement did the trick. I got a Peridot in the last 10 hours. Have been breeding for Mirage since, and just got it on the island. So hopefully I'll be able to try for Sunstruck at least a couple times before it goes away. Maybe more... Since it didn't disappear after yesterday, I'm guessing it will be around until the official start of fallp on Sept 22nd.

My Dream habitat, empty for so long, will have an occupant at last! And even the one it was purchased for!

I got two peridot! Woohoooo!!!! I'm not sure. Should I get the egg or the second dragon. Hmmm, but I've been trying for mirage nonstop in both EBI and cave for so long and I'm bored. Mirage, mirage wherever you are. Please come out... Dark and sand and dark and nightshade are in for some variation and so I can finish off my hybrid collections by fails.
But can anyone give me some advice. I'm level 39 currently and I am on the verge of having too many dragons for my park to cope with. I don't want to drain my DC or gem resources too much, but I'm willing to spend a bit. I have a max in my hibernation cave of 50, should I upgrade for 100 gems, (bearing in mind I have 59 currently and am trying to expand my park as rapidly as possible!) ? I suppose with the new raising of the storage tower capacity cap I should just hide my epics away and their habs to save room. But the epics are my favourite and I dot really want them to be hidden. Any tips.

It is really your call. Sooner or later you WILL expand your hibernation cave, but before you do you need to think about what your long term goals are. Then use that to plan your gem use. Go through your fifty and decide if you really need those dragons. Remember that they earn nothing while in there. And no one can see them. ( not quite true with the dragonarium. So if they are going to stay there, you may as well sell them. If on the other hand, they are awaiting a future goal, then keep them and make expanding the cave a priority. I started when having fifty of each element was important, so I had lots of crystals there just for gilding the shrines. I kept them even after they changed the rules on shrines, so a possible future platinum shrine is most unlikely. I think I have cleared out most, but it is probably time I did another stocktake sale. I know I still have quite a collection of Panlongs that I probably should eat sell. And I probably will need to soon. I just checked and I am at 298/300. Sigh.

Every Wednesday (my time) I go to sleep knowing that there is a chance to seeing the silhouette of a new dragon when I wake up the next morning. I get excited each and every time. Now, I am beginning to get scared because I am falling behind. These are what I am still lacking:

In the dragonarium you can see the juvenile in motion, so nose.
I consider the brown part the nose and the white part teeth/fangs.
