How long til sun struck is gone!? Why have all the new dragons had mirage in their locked combo? Grrrr As all these permanents came out I started to ignore them and to get to work, filling up my light, dark and opposites collections. I have collected many new dragons I hadn't had prevoipusly and their eggs and seconds. But of all things, I never got a mirage. It's gonna be impossible for sun struck....
I think along with the idea that it's a logical breeding combo for both of the new dragons, they also did it to slow down breeding so that there's always something to do for those players that breed everything quickly.
Laugh if you want: I had to withdraw my application for Sunstruck Last Call (I came in late, and anyway I had to start breeding another Mirage from scratch) and now I have my Sunstruck. At any rate, it's in the works.
Daydream, NIL. This seems to be a fairy tale in which you have to hatch a dozen Winds, a dozen Howls, a dozen Hypnotics and a dozen Miasmas first.

I got my first Sandstorm! I was super confused this morning and worried that I bred the wrong dragons for Sapphire, since the DragonCalc app didn't have anything listed for 1.5 hours. Then I got the Sandstorm egg and worried my park was glitching and going to exploded! But after checking the Sandbox, Sandstorm is indeed a viable fail for Mountain + Rain. Yay!
Enjoy watching these posts unfold, two grown men deeply engage in the colnversation of collecting DV figurines. What next? Pillow cases, mugs, PJ, undi...my my, lol.
I prefer to think of them as collectible investment models.

Rough past week, but the dragons have been kind to me. Got a Sunstruck, and a second one in the nursery. Guess I'll continue breeding for an egg. Also nabbed a Daydream right before the Sunstruck came out.
Haven't been able to buy the new island yet. I just crowned my Sakura dragon, right before the island came out! So I'm low on funds. I think I'm sitting on 400M DC... quite a ways to go.

I can relate. I've had several extremely busy weeks in a row, complicated by having a new puppy. However, I have still managed to get a Snowy Gold, my second Hydra, one Sunstruck, and one Daydream. I hope the successes continue for both of us.
Gah I am so over Crystals. Bred my third in a row trying to get my second Hydra. I can't wait till I get another so that I can clone them with a higher chance. Gosh when the Light and Dark dragons emerged from the rift, why couldn't we banish a dragon of our choice back there? "So long Crystal, you'll be missed...not."
I'm getting aggravated with the game. I've been trying and trying for sun struck and finally got one. Retry the same breeding and got another. 2 in a row? Why so hard to begin with? That's not the big aggravation though, I'm already at level 60, and still have 11.5 billion dc. Just not fun to grow food and crown dragons anymore. As soon as my sun struck hatches, my dragonarium will be twinkling again. I guess after playing since sept of 12' I'm getting tired of the game.

Wow. How did you get to lvl 60 so fast? Can you figure out another goal for yourself that will help rekindle your love? Because a side effect of speeding through the levels so fast is that you have to wait for the next upgrade which could be yes months away.
Personally, I'm a hair from lvl 56 and still breeding for Dream. And Daydream. and Geode, and a Sunstruck egg. Then a second Shadow.
Oh and I started a second park where more of the breedings are rewarding!

I've got a DREAM! (And in my cave) I'm naming him Martin Luther King (well... there aren't enough letters -- MLKingJr) for sure.
Final tally. Breeding since May 29. Tracking since August 18.
14 tries with L15 Shadow/L16 Arsenic (on island) 30 tries with L20 Cotton/L17 Light Rift (on island) 2 days break to breed my Sunstruck 8 tries with L18 Light Rift/L18 Terradiem (in cave)
My Dream habitat, empty for so long, will have an occupant at last! And even the one it was purchased for!
Thank you to all who listened to my whining all summer (especially in August) and sent your Koala vibes and didn't give up on me even when I was ready to give up myself.
I feel so... Alive! Like I'm not broken anymore.
It was ALMOST a birthday gift (Thursday) but I'll take it!

It's easy to get to L60 if you have DC and food to burn. I haven't done the math, but taking two or three dragons to L20 will take you up at least one level. So call it 2.5 dragons per level. Just feed 15 dragons to L20 and you'll get there no worries. Just trying to get my breeding dragons for Sunstruck and Daydream to L20 have got me to L57 already. Shame it hasn't got me either dragon. At least I already have Geode. Mind you I have burnt through over 2B DC in the last few days.
