I have def have not tried to link for extra gems; other than one Valer who wanted to offer them from abandoned parks, for new parks, so I’m doing that paying it forward 😊

After the game ends there will be a lot of us with a hole in the day, it will be disorienting not to know what to do in those spare minutes. It would be great if people could check in here for a while to report on what kinds of alternatives they have discovered. (About the only other thing I do is read books, but I find it impossible to read a book and semi-watch my husband's dvd choices, but dragonvale is ideal for that...)

This sounds like a good idea. Already I've started looking for other dragon games to play, but let's face it, the others just don't compare to DragonVale. I used to play Merge Dragons for a while, and it wasn't half bad, but eventually the constant crashes left me unable to play my game.
The majority of my spare time is spent writing, though occasionally I'll paint and draw. I've been meaning to get back into DragonVale fanart, and when the game ends, I'll have more time for drawing and painting, and will probably stop by and post pictures of my DragonVale artwork.
Just a little something to remind us of the brighter days.

Same. Writing, reading, and art projects take up most of my free time, so post-DV they’ll gain a lot more attention. Now I’m definitely looking forward to frequent forum trips to admire all your stunning DV art!

Yes, I completely agree with this! There isn’t a comparable dragon-themed game, but maybe we can reconnect in another town building or collection game, many have in-game friending systems. There’s this forum thread Other Games Hookup (gasp!) where we can post which games we’re active in and how to friend each other. Sadly, we’ve reached the 'gasp!' part and this is now our reality.

Same here. Aside from a cleaner house, all clothes laundered, and my husband getting a hot meal every night 🤣, I will be doing more reading and gardening.
I used to play candy crush but stopped a year ago. I like hidden object games but only play on occasion, while watching TV. Yep, I will definitely miss DV.

I played Dragon friends for a while but missed DV badly.
In my free time I like to make big jigsaw puzzles. And now that my oldest daughter is out of the house I have a free room where the puzzle can rest.So I'm not forced to work on it to get if out of the way, makes it more casual.

I love jigsaw puzzles, but I don't have the space at my house, plus I get obsessed and can't stop. When I am at my sister's place for Christmas we do one, and my sister, her 2 kids, and I stay up until 1 or 2 am working on it, usually it's done in less than 36 hours...
I like Monument Valley, it's a beautiful kind of maze/puzzle that plays with 3-D like an Escher drawing, but you have to pay to download it, and once you figure out the tricks on each level, there's no challenge in replaying it. But it's still beautiful and kind of soothing.
Wish I had more artistic talent, I look forward to seeing what the talented forum members create!

PSA - it is the time change here in Colorado. I don’t know how this will affect the reset. I know in years past it has done all of the following: changed the time of reset by an hour (10 am instead of 11 am), caused the server to crash, or nothing. I am hoping for the last option.

I live in Denmark so my time differs from yours. We had our wintertime a week or so ago, so reset for me is an hour earlier. Your time change last night has definitely messed up the game. Today my park has semi reset itself. Got 2 new Tolzar ads and I could gift people again, did all that right after reset yesterday ha ha.
Just after writing this I am experiencing some crashes that have never been there before. In my test park, that one never used to crash, hmmm you might be on to something.

I think the world is surely coming to an end when stupid icloud rules my world and imgur goes along with it. Sadly it seems Dragonvale is also down, Lightning dragons all the time. I think they pulled the plug already. Merry Christmas, 23 rd of december came early.
I am so mad, I have no more words. Hope this is just a wintertime screwup, but I am afraid they just gave up early.

Everything in my park reset this morning, 6 AM EST USA, even the cost to breed in the Rift. I was able to gift my friends again. So who knows what's going to happen at reset!

Was in Dragonvale this morning and something's had changed but everything else was ok. We'll see what happens at reset.

Yeah, everything looked like it reset this morning for my park. It’s even crashing a ton. Not sure what this’ll mean since there’s no one at BFS anymore 😕
