don' upgrade an omnitat it costs the same to get a new big one. If you are at the limit of possible omnitats, put the little one in storage and buy the big one. This wax you can pull the little one out of storage if the cap of omnitats is upped.
I’m pretty sure if you put a habitat in the storage tower it still counts against your total number of habitats and the limit for each habitat. The limit for omnitats is 6. If you put one in storage it’ll still show you have 6. You need to sell it to lower the number. grandpakenny there was an event that let us upgrade omnitats with event money. They haven’t done that in a while but the omnitats do show up during events.

Hi all; back to the olden days in the Rift; my baby park now has a Rift. I went to ED and the Rift thread looking for those oh-so-helpful diagrams we had about positions of Rift buildings and the order in which to clear clouds of etherium ...BUT imgur and others have removed ALL the diagrams and pics from that era. SO BIG lesson; we need to describe in words what our diagrams contain, or we will lose all sorts of info, if that info is considered important rather than just fun pics
Those who may have copies of original of those or any other diagrams, could you please repost and anyone with time and energy will add verbal descriptions to the info...unfortunately it was a Magpac post (and we don’t have the glorious koala shirted one anymore on this board) who had formattted the diagrams re how to quickly find and uncover Rift buildings... if anyone had copied and pasted those that would be great
We mods will also need to periodically check ED links and try to fill in the created gaps in such links What a pain!
Kiwichris , regarding imgur, they had a policy of deleting images that did not receive at least one view in six months. However, in February 2015, they changed this policy: imgur will never delete an image unless requested. Since magpac’s post with the removed photos was from 2017, magpac probably deleted the pics. For most third-party image hosts, when an image is no longer displaying, usually it means either the user has deleted it, or the third-party host no longer exists.
You make a great point about the need to check links! I don’t think a written, detailed description of an image will help forum readers to fully visualise a deleted photo. Unless someone saved the image to their device or computer before it was removed, so it can be reposted, the now photo-less post is probably no longer useful.
We may be relying on the hope that posters won’t delete their images, but the same can be said for any link to any webpage; it’s a common problem everywhere. It’ll just take time to check, and if an image is removed or a link broken, unless we know of another source, we’ll need to delete the links to these posts from the front page (FP) and/or the Encyclopaedia Dracontin (ED).
I’ll delete the link Kiwichris was referring to ('magpac’s Miasmic Ether Grid') from the FP of the Rift thread in a couple days, unless I hear an objection. I don’t want to delete it now, in case anyone wants to view it. To be clear, I’ll be deleting the link, not the actual post. Also, the link titled 'magpac’s Marvellous MagicMarker... (etc)' opens a post with a missing image, so it’s no longer helpful. I think it’s fair to say all of magpac’s photos are deleted. If anyone has these pics, please let me know and I’ll repost them in magpac’s original posts; otherwise, I’ll remove these two links from the Rift FP.
Since I currently post more images than anyone on this forum (a ridiculous, maybe even troubling amount), I promise not to delete any of the photos from imgur. Enjoy them for life.

I usually just go to the Dragonarium under Pedestals. Any missing Rift or twin pedestals are easily identifiable based on the colour of the icon, number tab, and Rift symbol.
grey tab = no twin blue tab = only twin gold tab = regular and twin grey Rift symbol = no Rift pedestal
If there’s a grey hourglass on the pedestal icon, it’s limited and unavailable now, so cloning is the only option. If it’s green, it’s a go.
I’ll look for this post you’re referring to while checking FP and ED links, but unless it was linked to the front page of a thread or the ED, I’m afraid it is lost and drown amongst the sea of posts, until someone recovers it by diving through and reading all these threads.

I'm seeing no changes to their development files since the shutdown in late December. The files have been static since that point. Even the new dragons for this event have been left off that area, whoever is maintaining the game now is no longer using that dev/QA environment and everything is going straight into the prod files we see in our game.
The BFS employee/IG poster departed in late December, and I couldn’t see any reason for anyone else from the DV Team to stick around. So I find your comment interesting, as it furthers this idea that the game has been operating free of the DV Team and (the defunct) BFS for over a month.
There has been some setup for Valentines 2020, but only existing dragons that will be put on sale. I'm seeing nothing about a new 2020 event.
I can envision a Valentine’s event similar to Om of Noms: returning event dragons and content, but no new event-themed dragons. However, this time hopefully we’ll get some of the backlogged golden dragons, so there’s something new to keep players interested.
I would hope they would bring back many of the prior developers and artists, but if not we'll likely see the game take a new direction.
A lot of players have said this and some have argued that letting them go is a sign the game won’t continue, which I don’t really agree with. While I’d love to see the DV Team retained to ensure the quality of the game, I believe it’d be very challenging to hire the BFS/DV employees. If DV is to continue in any capacity, it’ll need to be under a new studio, and that studio may already be fully staffed. Even if there are positions available, in all likelihood the studio will be located outside of Colorado, so relocation could be an obstacle.
Clearly, the people who were behind DragonVale are remarkably creative and talented. They will be an invaluable asset to any company or studio that’s fortunate enough to hire them. While I’m sad they’re gone, I do not doubt they are continuing their greatness everywhere they go.

Thanks for the info. I’m missing a lot of rift pedestals. I compared the rift dragons to see if I had a pedestal. It took a couple hours. I have 24 missing rift pedestals. It will keep me busy a couple weeks. Got to have a goal for this time between events.

Arkynos regularly updates the ED, bumping it to the top of the threads. So if people search the forum under New Posts, they’ll usually see the ED at or near the top of the list after it’s had an update. Although, I’m sure people have various preferences and different ways to search the forum, so maybe it’s not prominently showing.
That’s pretty amazing you were able to find this post Dreamn, especially considering it was last updated in 2016! theresa, since it’s an old thread, I’d suggest bookmarking it so you’ll have it handy, and it doesn’t drown again in waves of forum threads.

Just a note of caution when relying on that historical post bfs changed a lot of the dates for dragons becoming available, over time there was slippage and early availability... i update the newsfader strip on top of home page, as the game announces each gemstone and crystalline is green to breed

I needed a Barite rift. I only had a twin rift, regular and twin. I put Hail + Dodo together knowing Bouldershock is a result. I ended up with Barite Rift and a Bouldershock rift. The koalas were with me today. 😁
