I’ve started playing the Race Track again, and I can’t find the list of recommended dragons for the races. I know there is a list somewhere, I used to have it bookmarked, but now I can’t seem it anywhere. 🤷🏻♀️
Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks 🐨🌻
This is the link from the Wiki. I hope that this is what you are looking for. I wish Deca would do something 'different' with the Race Track to encourage players to play it. I haven't raced my dragons for a long time.
Me either, it’s been years since I’ve gone to the races. I always thought it was a bit too time consuming, what with so many other things to do around my park, lol. But with having to feed all these dragons, I’ve been farming like crazy and my DC is getting low. I’ve never been one to collect multiplies of high DC earners or put out a whole island of the same one epic, so hoping to supplement my income and treats a bit, lol.😊
You are right amos, something has happened to the racing. I’m using the same ol’ dragons, from what I remember anyway lol, that are winning the races, but only awarding one chest.😕
Maybe someone could pop up a poll, to see how many players actually utilize the races. And how often. I’m kinda curious, so I just might do this myself in a few days, if no one else does. 😉

They tweaked the races to be harder. Once they did I find you win every time by using a level 20 epic dragon that displays the elements needed (not hidden). If you need Light use a Level 20 Bogberry. If you need Earth maybe a Level 20 Avarice. You can use any multi element epics. These are just examples. When you choose this way the game puts up random epics that do not fit the elements. 😉
So, would I be able to use a double Rainbow for every race? And be able to win two chests?
this is what I’m doing with the arena game in the event. I put up a DR with whichever epic is available from a friend and get the max currency each time, I don’t even look at the required elements anymore.
Also, I was looking at the wiki list of races (not alphabetized 🤨) and noticed a current races list as well as an old races list. Do you know if Deca is running all the races from both lists? It’s been years, but I don’t remember there being so many races 😳. I used to have it all memorized, which dragons to use. Back in the day lol 🙄

No, do not use epics with hidden elements. You need dragons that display the correct elements. Bogberry is an epic + has light, water and plant. A level 20 Bogberry will win two chests with any or all of the races that have those elements included. Iden is an epic and has dark, air and plant. Dragons like those will win 2 chests when matched with elements.
I race every day since the very beginning of DV. It is a great source of DC, treats and occasionally gems. I never grow any treats. I use the same dragons as originally showed on the Wiki. And if you only get second no worries, you can have two chests and the same rewards as if you won first. Only your ego is hurt lol.
Not sure when it was noted that Lunis/Solis can’t be used in the breeding pair, but I managed a Solis and a Lunis a few days ago by using them in the combos. I needed a rift pedestal of each so I used Moon + Lunis and Sun + Solis. I was able to breed Lunis rifted x 2 and a Solis non rifted.
It was noted by Deca. They stated Lunis and Solis cannot be cloned outside of the co-op in their announcement I posted above. Thank you for your breeding results! While it does look like Lunis and Solis can be cloned if they are fulfilling the breeding requirement, technically they still can’t be cloned, because outside of Lunis + Moon, Lunis will never be an outcome. And outside of Solis + Sun, Solis will never be an outcome.
Sadly, this could garble the breeding/cloning definitions for Lunis and Solis even more.
It might be best if this exception you spotted wasn’t included in the description, to prevent any confusion, and since it is covered by the breeding rule. Thanks again!

I try to complete the races every day too. Mostly to see the animation. But the gem rewards are pretty great too. I probably average 20 gems a week from the races.

The dragons don’t need to be at level 20; the level doesn’t impact the race results. I mention this so people who don’t have a lot of level 20s aren’t too discouraged.
EPICS
LynnMarie, the wiki link MinyaZ provided is up to date and lists the epic dragons to use under Recommended Dragons. The epic dragon must have the race’s primary elements showing on its card. So you can’t use Rainbow for every race and win. If there isn’t an epic that has all the requested elements, you can use an epic that only has one of the elements. This is especially helpful for races like Light Show, which is really close when you use a hybrid.
THREE OR MORE ELEMENT DRAGONS
If you don’t have any epics that fit the race’s elements, use a dragon with three or more elements (e.g., Epoch for Wintery Whiteout). Dragons with three or more elements do much better than two-element dragons. I frequently use them over epics just to mix it up and keep the races interesting.
HIDDEN BOOST
At the beginning of the race, there’s a countdown '3... 2... 1... Go!' If you tap just before the race starts, between '1' and 'Go', there is a hidden boost (it’s similar to the boost you receive when you tap the line on the race track). The closer you tap to 'Go', the greater the boost you’ll receive. With this extra boost, if you use an epic or three-element dragon, and consistently hit the boost lines with 'Perfect' or 'Great', you’ll always win the race.
G’luck and see you at the Dragon Track!

I may need to start racing again just to make up for the missing gems from the colosseum and Tolzar.
I thought some might be interested in reading this article. I love when I read or watch something and can name a dragon that is based off that information.

That is really interesting and explains Lyuba's origins. What a great reference.

I like to race the new dragons just to see how they move. I don’t care about winning. I love the Quintessence Dragon on the racetrack.
I am having really bad luck trying to breed the new dragon. I spent 500 gems between 2 parks, but it eludes me. 😢
Need koalas. 🐨
Here you go! Can’t fit any more koala cuties on this branch or in the image. We are at koala capacity! G’luck!

I’ve been playing DV almost from its inception. And I think I’ve noticed a trend and would like to share it. When moving from one island to another, searching for Flaggers, I seem to find the majority of them in the lower half of my island.
Mind you, this is simply my observation. I’ve not kept any statistics or notes on this...it just seems to me that the lower half of my Habitats is where I find most of my Flaggers.
About my Islands: the Habitats are placed evenly around the Island with Pathways (mostly) separating the Habitats. There was no ‘system’ for the placement of the Portals...I simply put them where they would best fit.
Hey, did anyone notice there's a new update and icon in the app store?

The Weather Station setting has finally been added to the Vale and Rift breeding interface.
You may notice a new 'currency' in the Treasure section of the Market (the currency itself isn’t in the Market, but the totals located at the bottom of the screen show it).
Also, a glitch

I am technologically stunted. I hope I came to the right place, but can’t seem to start a new message. I have a small Level 35 Park that is showing +1 wishes when I sign in, however, I have not received a wishing well. I checked under my gifts and looked through my handful of islands, but no wishing well. I also looked for it in the Market.
Could someone point this old lady in the right direction? Lol.
update...I believe zi have figured out how to send new posts instead of just replying. Also, I send a message to Deca from my Park asking for assistance.
Thank you all for your assistance and your understanding when I make mistakes, I am trying very hard to keep up “how tos”, but with age comes memory problems...at least with me. ❤️

I wonder what will the new currency be about. I hope it's not a pay-to-win thing or it's lights out for me completely.
