I’ve always loved how there’s a lot of players who have been with the game from the start on the forum. This is an incredible place to be and always so helpful. I don’t think I’d be playing DV still if it weren’t for the forum and the sandbox. 🥰

Thanks for the tip on how to find our anniversary date. I’m a newbie compared to some of you; I didn’t discover DV until April 12, 2012. I downloaded it so that I could help my then 5-yr old grandson with his Park. He lost interest after a few months, but by then I was hooked. I was absolutely fascinated with the erupting volcano & fell in love with decorating my own little corner of the DV universe. Like others, the credit for keeping me involved with this game goes tonthe forum and all the wonderful people who founded it, kept it running smoothly, and those who have posted through these years. Here’s to at least another 10 years!

I agree with OboeKade , the Overgrown Island is the one to get first! The expanded islands are just that, expansions of the islands you already own, not much new space. If you don’t own the smaller versions, the expanded size is that of a normal island. 😊

STARTING THURSDAY, 23 SEPTEMBER, DRAGONVALE’S RESET TIME WILL PERMANENTLY CHANGE TO 8.00 AM (MDT) / 4.00 PM (CEST).
Currently, reset is at 11.00 AM (MDT) / 7.00 PM (CEST). It will be moved up 3 hours starting 23 September.
Tolzar’s Optical Oracle ads, Sponsor Gem ad, Rift breeds, Races, and gifting friends will all reset as well, so be sure to complete them on time.
As you know, Deca Games is located in Berlin, Germany. Therefore, DragonVale will now follow CET/CEST, so it will recognise Central European Summer Time (daylight savings time). Germany’s DST starts on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October. This is different than DST in the US. Since the vast majority of players (and Forum members) are in the US, please note the new DST dates.
The next DST change will occur on 31 October (Happy Hallowe’en!). DragonVale’s reset time will be moved back one hour.
The new reset time should allow additional time for Deca to work out bugs after new content is released and help DragonVale to run smoothly.

PSA: If you’re planning on taking advantage of the Expansion Extravaganza’s free removal of trees and rocks, be aware that Islands 11 - 32 take 60 hours to summon. Even with Kairos speeding up the process, you’ll want to purchase the islands now so they’ll be in the Vale and are ready to be cleared.

Yes, both Hibernation Caves in the Vale and Rift are 50% off. The new maximum number of slots is 1000, so if you’re at 800, your have two upgrades left.

I'm not exactly sure when I started playing, because I never used to download apps from official app stores. I got DragonVale from the APK Pure website a long time ago, then after a couple years I started downloading it from the Google playstore.
But when I look through my old blog, the earliest mention of DragonVale that I can find was on September 13th 2016. I joined the forum not long after that. So five years for me.
I can still remember when getting my first Double Rainbow was a moment worthy of celebration. I wanted one so bad and was so excited when I finally got one. I used to call it the double headed rainbow barfing star dragon. Lol idk why. Nowadays the dreaded Double Rainbow fail is the last thing we want in our breeding caves. 😄 🌈🌈

adlerist , do you know if the Flames of Corruption idols will be available this halloween? I only received one last year from the Golden Chests, and the year before, when Corrupticorn was released for transformation, I was on hiatus. 🙃 thanks 🙏🏻

I started DragonVale 5th November 2011, but had a break for a couple of years before restarting two years ago. More fun now than back all those years ago.

So I purchased the 500 gem upgrade, and the Hibernation Cave jumped from 800 to 1000 slots! An amazing deal! In the past, each upgrade was 100 slots. This is the first one to have 200. Honestly, I believe this is a fair price, because the upgrades were getting ridiculously steep with the last one at 800 gems for 800 slots.

I want these scary dragons. Hope they don't have terrible breeding odds. Even then, I have a bunch of Mystery Eggs failure to do a mass release in Double Day.
