This Tips, Strategies, Updates, and Help thread seems to be related to the game only. When I see there’s a new post I expect to see some new tip or strategy or someone asking for help or news that there’s a new app update.
I feel like my Bismuth post wouldn’t fit here. There are lots of posts on Reddit with nursery flexes and people excited about reaching max level or getting a dragon from the mystery eggs that can’t be posted anywhere on the forum without being out of place.
It’s just a suggestion I’m not trying to be critical of the forum or any posts. I understand if a new thread for this wouldn’t fit.
Do wishes cap at 10? I recently used a wish and my counter said 10 and I thought I should have 13 or so. Not a biggie, I obviously don’t use them much. I was just curious if anyone had over 10. If they do cap at 10, maybe I should use them instead of losing them.

There isn’t a cap at 10 wishes, and I believe it’s highly unlikely there’s any cap at all, since that would only discourage players from opening the game.

Our members have great minds, because this has recently been requested by another member. I can see how there’s a need for a new thread so people can post their personal achievements in the game that aren’t related to the event.
Although, posts about breeding the event dragons should stay on the event thread, since a lot of members like knowing what breeding combos were used and it’s relevant to the event. OboeKade’s posts about his progress in the event should also stay on the event thread. But it would be nice if breeds and progress unrelated to the event had a home since some members and Forum readers are only interested in updates, tips, events, and the latest news about DV, so they’d prefer to skip posts about personal progress.
I’ll discuss it with the Forum staff and see if they’d like to have a thread for DV achievements. If they’re good with it, then I’ll add the thread. Many thanks to you and others for the feedback and helping us to improve the Forum!

I totally agree with this. I’ve really enjoyed OboeKade’s posts about the event dragons he’s breeding and his progress. I wasn’t referring to those types of posts. I meant posts about breeding the latest gemstone dragon or if you’re really excited about getting a dragon you needed from the EoM or if you finally got that Bouldershock pedestal. Sorry OboeKade and others, I didn’t mean your posts!

This thread was definitely the place for those types of posts when it was created. Perhaps a purpose built thread would serve people better.

Yes this ^ I’m not trying to be a pest or anything, but since the name of the thread is Tips, Strategies, Updates & Help, and most of the posts on it for the last couple years are about those topics, it doesn’t look like a place to post about small things we achieve in the game like getting Eldritch from a mystery egg.
Bigger achievements like somebody getting all the dragons and red fire could make more sense because that person can be a source for tips and strategies. But that’s a far cry from me breeding Bismuth in the Rift or level 146 or getting Eldritch from a mystery egg. I hope a new thread does encourage more people to post b/c sometimes when you FINALLY get a dragon after a month of trying, you’re just really happy and want to tell people about it. 🤗

I think it’s more that DV has changed, while we were paying attention. 😄
In 2012 it was a really different game, but it’s grow so much and is way more complicated. It seems like the forum is growing and changing with it to meet DV’s needs and ours.

Also, in my quest to investigate habitats and habitat size, I accidentally upgraded my Omnitat 🙃 there goes 2k carefully saved gems! Note for anyone reading - it’s the same size as the Omnitat so it doesn’t ask you about placement before it charges you
Finally, I know someone did the maths on T’saishen on usage v upgrading - has that been revisited at the new cost?

Yes, that was me who posted about DC farming. I have 84 Bogberrys in the large Seasonal habitat with all its element boosts, and 144 Portents in the large Dream habitat on the Gargantuan and Overgrown Islands. However, newer dragons have emerged that earn more. It’s not worth it for me to mass breed them since I have enough DC. But if I were starting a DC farm today, I’d breed Iden and Ocular instead and use their respective boosts. The trick is to use an epic dragon that makes a high amount of DC and resides in a large epic habitat with a high DC cap and no limit on the number of habitats you can own (and also doesn’t cost gems). The habitat’s DC cap is as important as the dragon’s DC earning rate, because most people can’t check their game more than once every 4 hours.
So sorry to hear about your Omnitat snafu 🥺! You could contact Deca and see if they can revert the error. I don’t know their policy on this topic, but it’s probably worth a try since 2,000 gems is quite a loss.
I don’t believe anyone has revised the calculations for Ts’aishen since the reduced activation price. So if you’re interest, the job is still open 🤓! The reduction wasn’t significant enough to make a huge difference. I think drastically reducing the cost to level up Ts’aishen would be a much more effective way of resolving the problem (the cost is ridiculously high). If that was done, then some recalculation would definitely be in order. But the request from players has been to increase the amount of Abundant Essence that can be earned daily or to remove the Essence price to use Ts’aishen (or both).

I don't know if this has always been a thing, but I was looking at a twin dragon, and noticed the colourful background shiny lines move around when you tilt your device! Is this a new feature? Or did I just never notice this??

It’s been like that since the blue background was introduced for twins. You do have to move your device to see it shimmer; it isn’t very obvious. You’ve got a great eye!
