I know the feeling. Teaches never really appreciated it either. :/ I made nice doodles too.
I know!! One year (fourth grade maybe) i was like the biggest doodler ever. My teacher told me that fifth grade teachers wld throw out papers with all those doodles. Never paid any mind to that as I still doodled & got all my papers back
I had a student make an excellent doodle on a biology test. She thought a term sounded like a incantation from Harry potter, and drew a picture of what a battle would look like using the term. I gave her a star for it.

There has been a rule change overnight changing the screen size/resolution. It might have affected how the game displays on your device. What are you playing on?
iPad, which ever version came after the 2. I don't think it was actually called a 3 but that is how I think of it :-).

On Christmas day, I showed my father in-law how to play dragon vale. He created an account saying "I go check my emails every day, why not check on dragons at the same time? A few minutes should be enough..." Well, I don't know if we have the same minutes, but he's already level 10 with 2 islands! I'm afraid he's now addicted
I got my Dad hooked at my last visit home and I swear I have talked to him more ( on the phone) in the last few months than the last 10 yrs. It has been fun to see him so enthused about the game.
He visited his sisters in Texas and showed them the game in Oct. looking for converts. One of them giggled when she told me "He even talks to them." BTW, he will be 87 in March.

And still the Platinum evades me. I haven't had success with breeding the gift either. Sigh. This doesn't bode well for the Garnet in January. I need to stop feeding my dragons pumpermelons and start feeding them oysters I think.

I absolutely cannot get a bloom. I get way too many Evergreen and lichen fails, it's just so frustrating. Can't get a 2nd LY or Apocalypse either > (I hope whining brings negative reverse psychology for extra koala.)
I am such a dill, I totally missed getting a Lunar eclipse, I have the display egg but no dragon, not sure what I did there but trying to breed one now but I am failing miserably and it is tying up the cave and I still have a Butterfly, Love and Clover to get, and I still need most of the display eggs for the limited edition re-released ones.
I did level up most of the shrines to silver though, only have the Lightening and Metal to do now.
Is there a site anywhere that lists the dragons in the order they came out? I think I might have missed getting an egg of something about 5 weeks ago, but I can't remember what it was.
Is it legit to sign up to the forum just to make a whine post? Whine whine whine --- I can't breed a Sakura no matter how many times I try. Shouldn't grumble really: when the limiteds came back I got every one I needed at the first attempt, until it came to Sakura, last on the list. Since then, nothing. Even trying to break things up by going for a second Bloom, Paper or Leap Year has yielded nothing. Oh, I do have a 48 hour something going right now --- either an unwanted Rainbow or an unwanted Sun. Whine whine whine.
The sandbox gives Flower + Tree as the only combo for Sakura. Is that right? So e.g. Poison + Moss won't work?

Yes, Flower and Tree are your best bet for getting a Sakura so far. I got mine with that combination.

Sorry if that sounds quite confusing, but more like letting your dragons "rest" from constant breeding. I've heard a lot of rumors about stopping a pair after so many tries to let them rest and put them back in with the outcome of a rarer dragon. Just wanted to know if this is fact or fiction.

It is fiction. The % chance of success is set, and nothing you do on your end can alter it. Dragon level, order, breeding experience or lack there of ... none of it matters. Repetition is all that's important.
