Don't know if this is true or not, but word has it that the Garnet dragon may be postponed till the evening of the 1st or 2nd of January because of the extended "Bring 'em Back" event till January 2nd. Also may be because of the turquoise being extended an extra day as well. I'm hoping it comes out soon though. Oh, and have a Happy New Year!

From players in different time zones. Some players from the UTC+12 and +11 time zone have said that the Garnet has not appeared in the market yet (meaning their date is now the 2nd of January). But this is all the matter of people in different times and places. Now, BFS is stationed in the time zone of UTC-7, (6:07 AM Jan. 1st atm) which could just mean that their developers haven't released it yet. It is not a state of fact that it WILL be postponed, but rather a warning for people in different time zones that the Garnet may or may not appear on their exact day of January 1st.
Edit: Just did a little research and found out that BFS usually releases their dragons around the times of noon/evening within their timezones.

I think I've been pretty successful these past few weeks, went through +/- 700 gems speeding up fails, here's my haul: 4 LYD 2 Apoc. 2 Sakura 2 Bloom 2 Love 2 Butterfly 2 Clover 2 Gift 2 Bluemoon (didn't want them) 1 Sun 1 Moon 1 Rainbow
Now the only dragons missing from the park are pearl, emerald, and platinum.
Happy new year to all. First a brief whine then some fun stuff. Whine: still desperately trying for my second platinum. Was hoping to get it before the new year but no such luck. Now onto something completely different. Wrote this up on the train on my way home from work this morning...
So I finally finished up a little rearranging around the vale and I'd like to welcome everyone to stop by and take a tour and let me know what you all think. The focal point of our main island is our egg display which welcomes guests into the park. Behind the cover of some happy little trees we find where much of the magic happens, with our fountain of youth, breeding cave and hatchery as well as our hibernation cave, but be wary of disturbing the sweet repose of those in hibernation. You know what they say about letting sleeping dragons lie. The main island is also home to our dragon library, where our master historian, Dewey, keeps the records of dragon lore. To reach the library one simply needs to stroll down what the locals call the Path of Plinths, or Monument Mile, where a beautiful display of sculptures lights the way to knowledge. Adjacent to our main island we can also find our breeding island. We won't go into too much detail on that for the sake of our younger readers. Our gemstone island, which houses our beautiful gemstone dragons, each according to their season, can be found directly above the main island. To the northwest we find our residential island, home to the vales fine agricultural center and several of the vales more unique residents. Baba Yaga, the witch, Blarney Fife, the leprechaun, and Sum Dum Goi, the ancient philosopher, as well as many other wizards and witches all call this island home. Here, visitors can also grab a bite to eat at the old buffet, or grab a room and stay the night and the cozy DragINN. As we come around counter clockwise, we get our first taste of the splendor of our dragons. Celestial Island houses some of our biggest and brightest stars, in our newly renovated and expanded sun and moon habitats, as well as our colorful rainbow habitats. If you feel a sudden tremble in the earth and a sense of foreboding, don't fret, its most likely Nibiru and Kilgore, our stunning Apocalypse dragons, basking in the warmth of their favorite volcano, which adorns the island. Next in the rotation is the vales gaming and finance center. With games of skill and chance ready to play at the arena or racetrack, coins and gems are never too far. Next to our coliseum we can find some of our Olympus dragons, always ready for the games. This island is also home to our herd of Panlong dragons, still a profitable venture, and several Rainbow dragons, for those long term investments. As we continue with our counter clockwise rotation, we come to the bulk of our dragon display. The following two islands house all of our Elemental and Limited dragons, each located in their respective dominant elemental habitat. F.L.A.P. Island is home to all of the vales Fire, Lightning, Air, and Plant dragons, while its adjacent sister island boasts all of our Cold, Metal, Earth, and Water dragons. If the egg display on the main island is a bit overwhelming, visitors to these two islands can view our beautiful eggs on a smaller scale, accompanying the habitat homes of their respective dragons. The last stop on the trip around the dragon horn is Epic Island. Here we can find some of our more elusive species in their natural habitats. Central to the island we find the beautiful, and ever changing Seasonal Dragons. Flanking the ever fluxing seasonal habitat, we can view some of the vales greatest treasures, the Treasure Dragons. Gold, Silver and Platinum, each one as deadly as it is beautiful. Be careful not to be tempted by their spoils, they're very protective of their hordes of gold and jewels. And speaking of precious "medals", Epic Island is also home to a clan of our Olympus Dragons. Gold, Silver and Bronze are all here on display. All of these Epic dragons are happy to be located within the sight of our shrines, homages in gold, to the great founders and leaders of all the dragon families. Our tour culminates with our biggest highlight, literally the biggest dragon to call the vale home. The Legendary Kairos has seen fit to grace us with his presence and can be found resting atop his Perch at the top of Epic Island. Just make sure to stop by the gift shop before visiting to pick up some earplugs. Kairos' deafening roar has been known to blast some visitors all the way across the island; some might even say into the future. Be sure to stop by often and pick up some stray party hats that may be lying about. I'm told that those can be quite valuable. As always, new visitors are always welcome.
Seriously folks. Always curious what others think of the setup. And new friends are always welcome.
Wow, LB, you've had a great "Bring 'em Back". I was just logging on to gloat myself, but I have nothing on you. For my part, I just now managed to get a Pearl. So in 2.5 days, I will have the last limited display egg. I still have a few other missing eggs, but I have a pair of parents. So, time willing, I will be able to complete my collection.
I needed and got 1 LYD, 1 Emerald, 1 Ruby and 1 Pearl, and I got em all.

Since I started playing DV at the end of October, I didn't have a lot of limiteds to start with. Here is my haul after a long sprint: 1 sun 1 rainbow 2 apocalypse 2 blue moon 2 sakura 4 LYD 1 bloom 2 clover 1 love 1 butterfly 1 firework [edit: got my second one!] 1 solstice 1 equinox 3 bone 1 ghost 2 gift [edit: I'd forgotten my 2 papers!]
I'm still trying to get a bloom or butterfly before the end of the day, but my gems are on their last miles... And I'll be able to buy my 7th island today! Happy dance!
Happy new year everybody, and koala to all!
PS Is it only me or malachite and ironwood have left the market? I wanted to show them to my mom but couldn't find them, even when I sorted the eggs!?

I have been disappointed. I burned through 500 gems, that I had saved, and only picked up bloom and LYD. This entire breeding period I have managed 1 APOC. I am not confident I will get another. No gems, no limiteds through June,
Probably a temporary ProBoards glitch. Is it still continuing for you?
Yes the only way to get in is to click on someone post and then go from there. Gizmos works just fine.
Weird. There have been several odd things going on recently and I'm thinking it is tied to the new version of ProBoards coming out. Glad you have found a work-around. Hang in there, it most likely will pass.
Am I the only one experiencing technical issues with the site? Most thread links either load a blank page or bring me to the forum index. Anyone else having issues? I saw a proboards error message yesterday about bears being loose in their server room, but the error messages stopped while the errors continue.
Got the message again. It is cute:
Uhhh...
We're really sorry about this, but due to an angry bear server issues we could not load this forum. Our technicians are aware of this problem and hope to have the Err Bear under control this situation sorted shortly!

Currently have a lunar eclipse in my breeding cave ( snow and mud) and an equinox on the island ( blazing and water). Still missing a few gemstone dragons but now have every one of the limited dragons. Weird, I now have my 11 or 12 leap year breeding, and I still don't have a rainbow. :/

Nice haul! koala with the Pearl and Emerald, hope you have lots of luck before the deadline.

Yes, we noticed the opposite dragons are missing from the market, but they are still available to breed. It has been guessed that there is only so much room in the market - not sure.

Oh you're right, they're not there... I wonder if they're gone, or just "hidden"? Perhaps one of the experts can help us out.
Great haul of dragons for you. I don't believe the Sakura exists after 50 failed attempts, but if you say so!
Bummer, it's hard to wade through all those fails. Hope your luck turns around soon!
