Well, today has not been great. Found out my horse is sick, as are four others in the herd at the barn he's at. And if I get another Lava or Smoke fail on Garnet I'm going to throw my phone out of the nearest window.
On the bright side, I've only had the deal with the dreaded Solar Eclipse fail once, and I pretty much got every limited I wanted out of Bring Em Back - and any I didn't I don't mind waiting for since they're all ones that are pretty much guaranteed to come back again. So there's that at least.
Hopefully whining will give me my first Garnet?

And if you can't find it. Just throw your comment out under chatting with friends. Then you aren't off topic and Tommy won't be forced to flog you with a wet noodle and you won't have to promise you first born (even though you might want to) to Myke. Pixie will then direct you to the right thread to continue your conversation or find the answers to questions you might have.
Welcome to the forum there are a bunch of nice folks here and no one will come down on you for any question you might have. The only rule is don't bash anybody but Myke. Lol

I have a question for everyone. Seems all of the post by Dragonvale on my Facebook page have disappeared. I checked and it is still one of my "liked" pages. Plus they have not said anything about the Apocalypse leaving or staying. In fact they have been really quiet lately! Any thoughts?
Hi Everyone I thought I'd pop in and say hello, I've been reading but not doing much posting latley. Have enjoyed the re-release, fortunately I managed to snag all I was missing before going on holiday with pretty much no internet access so that was a relief. It did take my 400 gem stock pile to about 50 lol but it didn't cost me any $$$ so that was good.
Got a garnet yesterday so just need one more for an egg. FINALLY got a Platinum the other day too. Thought I'd try breding it with a gold in the hope of getting a 2nd but alas it was another gold, but atleast I needed a gold egg. Might try it again and hopefully I'll get a plat. next time.

No update posts since January 4th on FB. Quite surprised all the limiteds are still in the market. My guess - they are going to take out the limiteds and give us a new dragon tomorrow, or the next day. **shrugs shoulders**

I've just filled up my gem island with the new garnet. I have a couple of pearls and turquoise which will have to be hibernated next month

Nope, you can keep all of your gem dragons out until you get your next one. Having the island filled will not affect your chances of getting another one.
So a second love dragon decided to join my collection. I think I will have to wait until march for my second clover. Will start working on the platinum.
I had to leave very specific instructions, though. Only for breeding, so gem gifting, food growing, habitat harvesting, dragon feeding and the coliseum all went untouched. I wouldn't have done it if apoc wasn't so limited.
I think it would be hilarious/awesome to have some sort of "Dragon-sitting" system set up. Though it could be time consuming, you could get paid in gems!
Cursed dragons. Yes, I think they exist and I have one. By that I mean I think there are certain pairs of dragons that will not result in desired breedings. Yes, Fletch, I know the stats say I'm crazy and I completely agree with that analysis. However, way back in August, when I was a wee Dragonvale player and did not know about the gemstone dragon competition here, I used the same crystal dragon (named Swarovski incidentally) around 50 times while trying to get a peridot. Now during the rerelease, I used it another 10 times or so and no luck, unless you count crystal dragons of course. Maybe about 35 total attempts were on the island. Meanwhile my snow/seaweed combo in the cave got a leap year and pearl within its first 3 attempts. Anyway, I finally had enough of Swarovkski and fed my latest crystal fail (Sparky) to level 10. First try was a 4+ hour fail, but with the impending end of the release, I use my 5 last gems to speed it up, toss Sparky back in there and boom, peridot.
So there you have it, my unempirical and quite assailable data to prove that cursed dragons exist. Good thing the sparks started flying on that island before too late!

I feel like this all the time and had a very similar experience. But I think it's all about luck though, or probability, whatever you want to call it.
