Sorry all for being absent these last few days. RL (finishing taxes, getting my Dad's final taxes done, and the baptism of my nephew down in Omaha this weekend) has keep me away from the forum.
First a huge thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful birthday week! What a blast it was! Also, thanks to all of the other members who participated. It was fun coming on every morning to check up on the standings and to see others having the same struggles and successes.

Hey! Sorry to have been away, but all that work I skipped out on came crashing down like a ton of bricks. ;D Almost out from under, and amazed at the 500 or so posts I've missed!
My park is currently undergoing a restructuring, owing to the storage shed, the new island, and more habitats. If we could wait for a bit on the picture that would be great. I'm back to playing GN after a hiatus ('cause more games with you guys seems like a good idea), so it may be awhile on my outpost. Is there an expiration date? I'm sure the mods have lives like mine, so I completely understand if it happens before I'm ready.
I came back to find this AMAZING lemmy original avatar! This is the sweetest thing ever! I totally love it! Thank you sooooooooo much lemmy! This is way better than a pony or a DV update. Totally worth skipping work for.
And again, thanks to all the mods for all their effort, both during the contest and all year round, to make DVC the happy place it is.

Well, the GZ is almost done, so hope you hadn't planned on making too many changes, lol.
Sorry you had so much work to do, but you know the contests were totally worth it.

Wow...just went back to the beginning of this thread and began to read all the amazing posts!
Yes, I so remember the ugly old forum mods constantly attacking our "conversations". I loved getting to know Tricia, Poppy, Shellee and Shane to name just a few. I remember Shellee and I having some amazing discussions, then interrupted by some rude peoples. And Tricia...well...she is such a cool kid! Love her no-nonsense take it or leave it style! Shane and Poppy taught me much both before and after the move here. Shane with his analytical mind and crazy sense of humor. And Poppy always wise and gentle...kind yet firm. I have so much respect for each person I have met here in this great new community we have!
I've said it so many times before and I honestly feel that this forum is family and better! No where else will you find this many people working together toward similar goals, helping each other so generously, sharing all knowledge freely and living out their lives on the screen for all to live right there with them! I feel as if you all are right here in my neighborhood and I can just reach out and get in touch with any one of you!
