Usually, I get this urge right before BFS releases a huge update that makes all my beautification a wasted effort. Presently, 5 of my islands are pretty nice, and the other 3 are an ugly jumbled mess.
Well, well, well. Look what we have here.
It seems the Grammar Borg should really be named the Selfish Borg.
HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO THE COMMUNITY!?!?!
Myke, you know in your heart what you must do. The sacrifice you must make. Start decorating those three islands immediatly! One is not enough!!!
That should virtually guarantee that we get the update next week some time. Probably Huge Epic Habitats. You know, just to mess up the symetry.

Thanks NinjaKiwi. I was only getting the facebook gem (when I didn't press ok too quickly) because I don't have a twitter account. Then gamenut told me I could get that one as well! I could write an essay entitled Gems I Have Lost.
Just dropping in to say that it's been less than two weeks and I now have a notebook and a spreadsheet. Does that sound about right?
Only if you want to disappear up your own fundament like some others here

Listening to the people "complaining" about the long fails ... it seems to me that is the real problem with starting the game now, and it is just going to get worse. It really cuts down on the number of attempts you can get in a month. Imagine trying to start this game when Ruby is released again in 12 months with another 50 dragons in the mix.

Hi everyone, My name is Mike and I have been playing this game for over a year now. I also have a "real-life" buddy who plays as well. We are both level 45 and have been playing the game from scratch. (meaning, not spending any money ever in the game). I have almost every dragon and an enormous and very intricate park. I honestly have only seen one other high level besides my "real-life" friend and his park wasn't too impressive. I am seeking high level friends only to see what your parks look like, I don't care about gems. I produce a lot daily with my gem stone dragons. (sorry nothing against low levels). I have a few requests for the game developers for game add ons and upgrades if anyone is interested in knowing what they are??? I have a long list of them too Thank you for taking the time and reading this. Have a good day/night.

Hi skinny Mike. Very glad you found your way here.
Feel free to send me a friend request, Fletch_Smf, to have a look around. The 8th Island is back to a work in progress since my Periodic table of Dragons which can be seen at dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=dvcreative&thread=319&post=79875 Have a look around that thread to check out pix of other parks and feel free to share your own. We would love to see them.

Hi Fletch, thanks for replying. I already feel welcomed. I had a bad experience on the face book DV group. I will have a look around. I will also add you on game center as well and post my requests in the other thread. Hope to see your park soon!

I like what I have seen so far. very Impressive parks to Fletch (I like your moon/cold island) and that you have dragons that I don't have yet, Merridrache, very well organized. and Lion, Lion! we have similar design styles. I am enjoying this park especially, very Impressive! I can see you have put a lot of effort into your park, just as I have. Great work to everyone's park I have seen so far. C'mon everyone post your GCID!

You can add me if you like, although my park is built for efficiency rather than style... (when not breeding for any dragon in particular, I pull in over $80m per day).
If I ever get around to it, I'll redesign my park a bit.

Ok. There are now too many options and directions to go with this game. Level 16-17... metals, another island, the timey wimey perch, whatever the heck the track is for... Learning that it would be nice to have panlongs but apparently they no longer exist... It was probably much easier to start the game when it was new and grow along with the updates.
Susie, you're actually at the most fun time of the game in my opinion. Lots of choices and a feeling that there is so much to catch up on. If you're short on habitats, I'd suggest you choose to do Kairos. In the process of getting your timey wimey perch in the cosmos, you can level up very fast focusing on getting puzzle pieces from the racetrack. As a breeding strategy, try to use a combo that yields the most possibilities of interesting dragons. The Dragonvale Sandbox has a combo generator that will suggest combos for you. Just have fun!
I'm maxed out on gem trades, but always happy to connect for park appreciation purposes.

Yeah, it can be a bit to take in all at once.
I'd probably prioritze getting some metal dragons, then the track. Purchase the new island if you need the space, but otherwise hold off on that.
Only start working on Kairos once you have the track built and are familir with it's operation.
Learning that it would be nice to have panlongs but apparently they no longer exist...
Well, they still exist, you just can't breed them right now.
They will probably make a return at some point... I predict December
Panlongs are cool and earn well, but if you are refering to the Panlong Earthpark Strategy that's amixed bag.
Yes, it allows you to earn a ton of cash per day, but it is actually kind of a pain in the butt that require a huge investment of time and dragon cash to set up... and then even more time to maintain it.
It was probably much easier to start the game when it was new and grow along with the updates.
I wasn't here in the beginning, so I can't say if it was "easier" back then. But keep in mind that newer players can draw on a wealth of community expereince, which gives us resources liek this forum, the Wik and the Sandbox. There have aslo been a lot of QoL fixes that older players had to suffer without.

Thanks ladies and gents! ElectronX I have added you, and pjsteel, I am interesting in seeing your 80m a day park. That sounds really cool!
