The eggs look the same, but if you turn them into pedestals, the stands will be different.
I am so glad to be proven wrong about the Dark Rift dragons. Either BFS decided all along to release them and surprise us, or they made the decision somewhere during the event. The description of the Dark Rift seems to suggest that we were only going to get one type of Rift.
My breeding areas are empty now, because I have two Meadow eggs, one Dark and one Jet incubating. I'm trying to resist the urge to speed them up to clear out the nursery...

Imagine breeding two Dark Rift Dragons together, there's a chance of getting either Rift Dragons, or Light Dragon, or Dark Dragon. And if it is 38 hours and 24 minutes, there's still the anticipation of whether it is a Light Rift or Dark Rift. And that will only be known after another 48 hours in incubation.
Maybe 250 gems for the pedestal isn't such a bad idea?
According to the Breeding Sandbox, breeding two Dark Rift dragons will give you Light, Dark, or Dark Rift. Also, if I'm not wrong the incubation time for Rift eggs remains at 30 seconds, so you might want to reconsider breeding for the pedestal in light of these odds.

It would have been awesome to have to wait 48 hours to know if you got a Light or Dark Rift Dragon, but Hatch time is only 15 seconds, and Light Rift + Dark Rift will only give you regular Light or Dark Dragons. To get a chance at a Rift Dragon you need to breed two of the same type you are after.

Well, I don't have the gems, and was dumb enough to be careless and hatch all three dark rift eggs I'd earned. So once I get my 48 hour fails from Jet out of the way, I suppose I'll be breeding for the display egg.

I gotta say, I am not disappointed in the design of the main dark dragon. I love how it looks!!
But does anyone else find it odd that we haven't received the light/dark boosts and shrines? I know shrines aren't as useful anymore but it is still a gameplay element..

No doubt we'll get them soon. I'll then have to think about whether to bother gilding, do it the old fashioned way, or just pay them gems to make them match the ones I have ... Definitely haven't decided what to do yet.
Dark Element Flag costs 1 mil ea. Think BFS made a mistake?
Originally the Light Flag was very pricey as well and they dropped it back to 2500. Will probably change that, I would think. Need a few for my landing habitat but will hold off buying them for a while just in case.

I bought the Giant one and it looks the same as the picture. Can confirm what the Large one looks like after it finishes building tomorrow.

K thanks. I went ahead and bought one too... it looks like it does in the picture. Definately a giant habitat tho. So the large habitat has the wrong picture then? idk...

Yes. But all the light habitats mix well with the Giant Reward Light one. I ended up doing one Giant, + 1 large because I liked the design. I'll be interested to see what the large dark actually looks like, since the giant matches the market picture for both sizes.

I hope so, I enjoy having a secondary goal to work on while breeding. Personally I am doing it the old fashion way: leveling each adult dragon to 15 and then leveling babies to 15 to gild my shrines. Since the level cap was changed I am in no big rush to get them gold.
Also another thing we are missing is dark and light tournaments at the colossoeum! and the new achievements for getting gold dark & light trophies.

The code for that is in place and identical format of the other elements. No way to tell what the order is supposed to be, but I suppose we'll find out.
Although we haven't had a Light one in the 8 days since it became available, so maybe it needs to be activated on the BFS servers?
