I am a bit confused....a normal state for me....so the only way to get two snowflake dragons is thru playing the Christmas game? Do you think we will be able to buy one later. I only have one and am worried I wont get the second before game ends!

Correct, you must obtain Snowflake 1 and Snowflake 2 through the event if you want any shot at 3 and 4.
You will most likely NOT be able to buy them any time soon.
Based on all the other special event dragons, there will probably be an option to buy them by this time next year though. There may even be new combos to breed them at that point

Keep playing normally you should be able to get the 2nd Snowflake.
The event is sched to end 1/11.
The 1st snowflake requires 2,640 iceberries, and you had one already.
You only need 2,880 iceberries for the 2nd, and 2 weeks are left in the event still. I wouldn't worry

Of course no one knows. But I expect you will be able to breed them after the event ends.

Not 100% sure what you mean, but that info is not spelled out anywhere in game.

Bloodstone's Book of Breeding has been invaluable to me in the past. But I seem to be horribly stuck right now. I have had difficulty all year breeding the dragon(s) for the month/season with it taking at least two weeks full time to get what I need. I am level 60 with level 16 & 17 dragons. Since the Bring Em Back begain (this round) I have been a total failure at breeding any of my missing dragons (apocalypse and century for instance). I finally just had to freakin buy mistletoe. what am I doing wrong? Help!

I feel your pain. Sometimes those dragons just don't want to cooperate. If you have double checked your combinations, then all I can suggest is that you take your breeding pairs as high as you can go. And whine. Whining on this forum has a long history of proving successful. Even though there is no earthly (DVly?) reason why it should.

I'm having a hard time breeding what I want too. I honestly think the sheer number of dragons out there is working against us. Too many other fails.

I typically recommend that people just buy Apocalypse. Its got horrible fails, but it's a rather inexpensive dragon (only 130 gems)
Is there anything else you need besides Apoc and Century?

I agree with the comment that with so many dragons it has made the odds worse. I actually no longer enjoy breeding its just plain stressful and I sure don't need that. (Yes I am whining. Greg Darcy said I could!) Back in the day when u could guarantee like breeds like or at least a 50/50 chance it was fun. But four weeks and still no leaf or century is just as much fun as the shrine grind was--NOT!

I offered some suggestions in the other thread. However, I wanted to add that since you already have leaf, it should be off the priority list since you can get more any time by breeding it with another seasonal type. (I don't do it, and it is not guaranteed to come easy as you have obviously discovered, but it is possible.) I agree that endless fails are not fun, so I hope you have a couple successes tomorrow. If you do, make sure you share the good news. I can't send you a commiseration gem, but I am rooting for you to succeed.

Many of these dragons are permanent and therefore of minimal concern during BeB.
I am also removing Leaf since you can get another one at any time since you already have one due to the Epic Cloning Rules.
The core list is therefore:
Nightmare - ABYSS + HOWL is a locked combo, so there's no options here. Save this one for later.
Light Rift/Dark Rift - Any combo with Dark and Light. You need Abyss and Shadow still, so Light + Ooze can work and will have four of your target dragons
Century - try Mountain + Ooze. Fails include Abyss, Ruin and Crypt.
If you get your Abyss from either of the previous two combos you can try for Nightmare.
Bicentennial, Celtic - You can double up by going for these with Rose + Storm, but there are a lot of long fails in that mix and I on;t think you need any other dragons that that combo can produce..

"It should be noted that each Snowflake dragon contributes slightly different elements to the mix, so this can result in very different fails depending on which combination is used. During BeB, your best bet to reduce possible fail times is to breed Snowflake 1 + Snowflake 1. Combinations with Snowflake 2 should be avoided as much as possible. However, Rainbow (48h) and DR (60h) are always in the mix with any of these combinations."... as are the four Snowflake dragons obviously...
1 + 1 is ideal due to minimal long fails and the increased odds of getting more 1, which is only a 2h 30m base fail.
3 + 3 seems like a good idea, but it has increased odds of getting more 3's, which is a 25h base fail.
Came here from your link in the Winter Event thread. I'd missed your line about the (Double) Rainbow fails, but it looks like you should be adding "BeB: Leap Year" to 1 + 1 and 3 + 3?
