This thread is great. I love 'meeting' you all. Poppy, the way you speak about your wife and kids makes me cry. I would give anything for a marriage like that. Servant, your post kept me in tears I'm so sorry you lost your beautiful babies.
My name is Nicky and I've just turned 28. My husband is 34. We were married 9 years ago when I was just 19. We haven't wasted any time and I know have 4 gorgeous children named Josh (8), Benji (6), Sarah (4)' and Liam (2).
I grew up in New Zealand with my Dad and brother after my Mum left us to live in Aus when I was 3. I moved here when I was 14 after not being a fan of my new stepmum. I lived in Sydney from 97 till last year in July when we up and moved to Wagga Wagga NSW.
My passion and livelihood came about when Ben was a baby. He could not wear disposable nappies so I began sewing my own Modern Cloth Nappies. 6 years on, it has become a full time at home job for me while my DH is a stay at home Dad. My business name is NicNaps and I'm very proud of how far I've come and love that every day I get to create fun and cute works of art :-)
My business is probably one of the only things I like about myself. I was very confident and happy before I moved to Aus but it all went down hill after the because of the rocky relationship with my Mum. I've never been able to forgive her for leaving, which makes things quite difficult now that she has terminal cancer at the tender age of 51.
My hobbies and interests apart from sewing is anything computer related, rock music, and being involved in online forums! I currently receive weekly treatment for my severe social anxiety disorder which has resulted in me rarely leaving the house, not having my drivers license and has even caused a fallout with my close family members who don't quite understand what I go through
So forums work really well for me!
Very happy to be here :-)

You guys are all so very awesome!!! I absolutely love getting to know each one of you better! I cannot believe just how diverse and spread out we all are yet here we come together to play dragonvale and learn about each others amazing lives! What an amazing place this is!!!
+1 to all of this. There is a saying that everyone has a "best seller" in them because of the story of their life. The proof is in this thread.
Tommy's would be more of the blurb on the inside cover.

Haha, it's a small world isn't it. Don't worry Viviane, you're not missing much. The whole country is going down the drain fast lately...
Ok let's see, I'm 34 years old. I'm married to my wonderful wife Andrea who is 35 hehe! I have two boys named Nicholas and Andrew. Their nicknames are Nico and Andy. Nico is almost 8 and Andy is 6. What a handful!! We live with my grandfather in his house. He asked us to live with him after my grandmother passed away.... He says so we could save our money but we know he was getting lonely but he will never admit to that lol, and we are saving money! I work for an emergency animal hospital as a veterinary technician, it doesn't pay much but it can be very rewarding sometimes. Like we say, we don't do it to get rich, we do it because we like it! Sometimes thats more important than getting rich.
Anyways we are saving to hopefully get a house someday.I love fishing and spending time with my family. I also love playing dragonvale obviously lol but I think im just as drawn to this forum to talk with you guys. I think its really cool to have a place where everyone has at least one thing in common but then you get to know them and you may find that you have other things in common* does that make sense lol. Ok I think that's it. Any questions? Lol
Tony, you are rich.

You know I love you Michelle and you have become such a good friend to me! Girl you don't give yourself enough credit. You are a strong, loving, kind, very intelligent woman! One thing I try to do is dream big and I mean big. I go beyond what I will ever achieve or afford. It keeps me going because at times when I acquired or achieved a dream of mine I would notice I would get depressed afterwards..well not anymore. I hope this can help you in some way.
Well here we go, I am 37 will be 38 on June 19th. Yes I am a Gemini. I grow up in a small country town in Indiana. I am an only child. I was raised by 3 wonderful and strong women. My dad left when I was 7 and he never really had time for me after that. We had about 150 acres of land, several horses, I showed western in my youth. I also rode and trained horses for barrel racing. When I was 17 I got hurt pretty bad. I was in the cliffs with babydoll (a gorgeous 3 yr old bay) and was thrown when she got spooked by a snake. So the dr said walk or ride you choose. My childhood was lots of fun and hard work. My mom worked really long hours as a prison guard. (She is now a captain, and has many awards for the work she has done) She always told me that I could have anything that I wanted as long as I took care of it. Well that included mucking stalls and taking care of the horses. Bush hogging the pasture, etc. My great grandmother (grannie) and my great aunt merm (little mom) moved into “town†to helped watch over me. (They had a place in the mountains) If the sun is up so you should be too.. Lots to do today. (Her fav saying and she had a lot of them) Believe me sometimes it took all three….lol . I miss them both every day. But I was raised with lots of love and old fashion values. I never knew what it was like to not get a hung or kiss when I wanted it. When I was 18 I left home and moved in my own place. (I am sure you all know the story mom and daughter not Seeing Eye to eye on things). I thought I had found the perfect guy. And shortly married him. Well let’s just say it was far that. He ended up almost ending my life. After 4 years I was finally able to get away. I used some of my savings (From my mom) and moved to the BIG city. That would be Chicago. I rented an apt under a different name and spend 6 months inside it. Afraid to leave for fear that he would find me. I started working for a company called Lind-Waldock. Love Love Love it there. But i am sure some of you know about Refco…. I met a couple new friends and went out one night to a club. Well I met my wonderful hubby there. I know him for 3 weeks and moved in… and here we are 14 years later. My one true love. We have 2 wonderful children Quinton & Lexy they will be 9 on the 17th. The joys of my life. They have brought so much to it. My son is a sports freak and my daughter loves all things art. They get the best of both worlds. We go down and visit my mom 1 weekend a month so that they get to experience country life. It is hard to get them home..lol… I would love to have had more but that will not happen as my hubby found out last year that he has prostate cancer. (He had the surgery. Dr has given him a bill of great health) Right now I work hard and love being with my family.. We live close to Lake Michigan with our 2 dogs Rockit (Lab) and Solo (Mastiff). Sorry if my thoughts are all over but this was a little harder than I thought it would be. But this is me. A country girl in the big city with the best hubby a girl could ask for and 2 wonderful kids and a couple dogs (that drive me nuts). I have had a lot of things happen in my life but these are the ones that have really made me who I am.
As I stated it would be a book if I wrote everything but Tricia like you and April I also grew up on the farm and raised horses etc. The more we talk the more we have in common...the cars...a lot of it. No wonder I have migrated to you and think of you as such a good friend!

You r quite right about that one.... And that goes both ways!!!!
Hi all. My name is Tiffany and i am a DV addict i just turned 26 on the 6th of march and am very keen for 30!! People think im crazy, but i am excited for what the next 4 years brings! I have been married for 2 years to a wonderful man named Michael. We met while i was working at Wendys ( the ice creamery, not the burger joint) He was my chocolate thickshake boy
I grew up on 3 acres 86km from the nearest big town. I have 2 older sisters, Lisa (34) and Renee (32). Renee was quite a sick baby and mum and dad decided to wait a while to have another baby. I was born 6 weeks after my uncle disappeared. His body wasnt found for another 6 years and my mum and he were very close. Mum said i was a little ray of sunshine in a very dark time. My mother and i are very close.
My dad is a cane harvester and has been since he was 17! He occasionally works at the coal mines during the off season as cane is seasonal. My parents hve been married for 38 yrs in april My sister lisa has been married for 12yrs and has 3 gorgeous kids! Jye (8) Trent (5, nearly 6) and Abby (2, nearly 3). I have an 'adopted' sister (ive known her sine she was 5) and she has a little boy Lane, who just turned one.
Mic and i have no kids yet, but they're on the cards. We would like to get a house first. This is why the next 4 yrs will be so exciting! We hve chosen a house plan, just need to finish saving our deposit. Then we need to find a block of land we like and start the build! Hopefully by christmas this year the house will be started. Then, 12months after that we'll start trying for baby. Am so excited!!
I was born, raised, and forever will be, a small town Connecticut boy. I have always loved the New England changes in seasons, and am very fortunate to live on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It's truly beautiful here, in what is often termed a "canopy" state because of its vast areas of forest. This region's claim to fame is: General Dynamics, which boasts the submarine capital of the world, Foxwoods Casino...which you have to see to believe, and of course...the movie "Mystic Pizza." Impressive...eh? ;0)
I am a married 55 year old father of four wonderful children, ages 39, 32, 30, and 13. I'll give you a minute to do the math (3 seconds for Fletch), and tell you that my wife, for some reason, loves me to pieces. I honestly feel guilty, because she does everything for me. Well...not that...of course. She thinks I'm funny...but has never committed on whether that's funny...ha ha...or funny...peculiar.
So if you've done the math, I was a father at the age of 16...finishing high school, working two jobs, married, and paying rent on a small two bedroom apartment. I honestly don't know how I did it, other than someone told me I couldn't.
My four grandchildren, eldest son, Jack Jr., and his wife live in San Antonio, TX. I miss seeing them, and enjoy our visits. The two eldest grandkids, are twins, turning 15 next month.
If you're scratching your head, and doing math again...yes...I have grandchildren older than my youngest son. It's not funny! I'll be working 'til I drop dead! And no...it hasn't given me a "leg up" on this breeding thing. Actually my youngest son was a miracle baby, conceived by in-vitro fertilization. His name is Austin, he's 13, and is truly a joy.
I am in my 33rd year of service for a Global Pharmaceutical Company, as a Validation & Compliance Advisor. Which fits me fairly well, being that I'm the posterboy for OCD. My colleagues tell me that I am so a### retentive...that when I pass gas (which I never do), it makes a sound only dogs can hear! Which is ok...because I'm only going to blame it on the dog anyway.
I love traveling, and am fortunate to have been to many beautiful places. My favorite escape was playing golf on a championship course in Kapalua, Maui. I played terribly, but didn't care...it was so beautiful.
