As I stated it would be a book if I wrote everything but Tricia like you and April I also grew up on the farm and raised horses etc. The more we talk the more we have in common...the cars...a lot of it. No wonder I have migrated to you and think of you as such a good friend!
Agree with Tricia too! And you! Somehow you just are drawn to certain people. And I too think of you two as great friends!!! 😉

Thanks April! You too! These stories are all a piece of who we all are and I'm happy and feel honored to share in them with everyone.
I was born, raised, and forever will be, a small town Connecticut boy. I have always loved the New England changes in seasons, and am very fortunate to live on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It's truly beautiful here, in what is often termed a "canopy" state because of its vast areas of forest. This region's claim to fame is: General Dynamics, which boasts the submarine capital of the world, Foxwoods Casino...which you have to see to believe, and of course...the movie "Mystic Pizza." Impressive...eh? ;0)
I am a married 55 year old father of four wonderful children, ages 39, 32, 30, and 13. I'll give you a minute to do the math (3 seconds for Fletch), and tell you that my wife, for some reason, loves me to pieces. I honestly feel guilty, because she does everything for me. Well...not that...of course. She thinks I'm funny...but has never committed on whether that's funny...ha ha...or funny...peculiar.
So if you've done the math, I was a father at the age of 16...finishing high school, working two jobs, married, and paying rent on a small two bedroom apartment. I honestly don't know how I did it, other than someone told me I couldn't.
My four grandchildren, eldest son, Jack Jr., and his wife live in San Antonio, TX. I miss seeing them, and enjoy our visits. The two eldest grandkids, are twins, turning 15 next month.
If you're scratching your head, and doing math again...yes...I have grandchildren older than my youngest son. It's not funny! I'll be working 'til I drop dead! And no...it hasn't given me a "leg up" on this breeding thing. Actually my youngest son was a miracle baby, conceived by in-vitro fertilization. His name is Austin, he's 13, and is truly a joy.
I am in my 33rd year of service for a Global Pharmaceutical Company, as a Validation & Compliance Advisor. Which fits me fairly well, being that I'm the posterboy for OCD. My colleagues tell me that I am so a### retentive...that when I pass gas (which I never do), it makes a sound only dogs can hear! Which is ok...because I'm only going to blame it on the dog anyway.
I love traveling, and am fortunate to have been to many beautiful places. My favorite escape was playing golf on a championship course in Kapalua, Maui. I played terribly, but didn't care...it was so beautiful.
I'm a 26 year old guy from Belgium, which apparently makes me a spring chicken around here I'm working for the Flemish government active in environmental legislation.
I'm pretty much raised as a gamer, in which I mostly enjoy strategic games, city builders and monster breeding games. Aside from that me and my partner are also nutters for cockatiels, and we own 8 of them in our appartment ^^

Loved Belgium. I stayed there for two months.

That was wonderful Jack! Sorry I just have to say this. Are you crazy? lol I could not have my own child at my age now. lmao It's a wonderful thing though...you have a lot more in you than I do. Your story is great...thank you!
Hi all. My name is Tiffany and i am a DV addict i just turned 26 on the 6th of march and am very keen for 30!! People think im crazy, but i am excited for what the next 4 years brings! I have been married for 2 years to a wonderful man named Michael. We met while i was working at Wendys ( the ice creamery, not the burger joint) He was my chocolate thickshake boy
I grew up on 3 acres 86km from the nearest big town. I have 2 older sisters, Lisa (34) and Renee (32). Renee was quite a sick baby and mum and dad decided to wait a while to have another baby. I was born 6 weeks after my uncle disappeared. His body wasnt found for another 6 years and my mum and he were very close. Mum said i was a little ray of sunshine in a very dark time. My mother and i are very close.
My dad is a cane harvester and has been since he was 17! He occasionally works at the coal mines during the off season as cane is seasonal. My parents hve been married for 38 yrs in april My sister lisa has been married for 12yrs and has 3 gorgeous kids! Jye (8) Trent (5, nearly 6) and Abby (2, nearly 3). I have an 'adopted' sister (ive known her sine she was 5) and she has a little boy Lane, who just turned one.
Mic and i have no kids yet, but they're on the cards. We would like to get a house first. This is why the next 4 yrs will be so exciting! We hve chosen a house plan, just need to finish saving our deposit. Then we need to find a block of land we like and start the build! Hopefully by christmas this year the house will be started. Then, 12months after that we'll start trying for baby. Am so excited!!
Tiffany I love your story and can't wait until you can start on your family! Just awesome! Thanks for sharing!
My name is Shellee and I'm 44 this month. I am married to my best friend and soul mate for 24 yrs. We were dating exactly 2 yrs to the date before getting married. We had 2 children. One being our son which we lost in 2008 at 22 yrs old due to prescription drug addiction and our daughter which has given us 2 beautiful grandchildren. My grand babies are one of the joys in life that keeps me going strong and gets me through the hard times. I was born and raised in Northern Idaho and have recently moved to SW Florida about 10 years ago. My husband and I have had owned a few corporations and are now retired...well kind of. We curretnly own/manage properties and have other investments in the market. We both have a love for cars which is a understatement and we are both into drag racing. I also love music and am a avid book reader but I pretty much only read fiction since I have enough reality in my life and family. If I were to write about all my hardships it would be a entire book. I guess I can say I am a very STRONG person in my eyes and most people that really know me personally tell me all the time they don't know how I do it. My husband says if it wasn't for him, and he is VERY giving that we would have nothing at all and be living on the streets if it were up to me because I am such a giving person. He's probably right. lol Anyways in a nutshell that is me and the short version of my life to date.
Brandy...I feel so much for you as you have been through so much. Your life kind of sounds like mine in some ways.
April..I all ready knew some of your story about your children as we have talked and I want to thank you again for signing my dad's guestbook. I feel for you more than ever after learning more about you.
Wow shellee. That was amazing to read! Im sorry to hear about your son i have lost alot of people in my life, but i couldnt imagine losing a child. You are definitely a STRONG woman. Thank you for trusting us enough to share with us all love ya Shellee xoxo

Thanks Tiffany. It is the hardest thing I have had to endure and unimagineable but it is life. I have made it through it though and I know I am not alone. So far with our stories April and Brandy are right there with me...I think that was it. As the saying goes "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" or something like that. I think it is very true. Love you too!
Ok let's see, I'm 34 years old. I'm married to my wonderful wife Andrea who is 35 hehe! I have two boys named Nicholas and Andrew. Their nicknames are Nico and Andy. Nico is almost 8 and Andy is 6. What a handful!! We live with my grandfather in his house. He asked us to live with him after my grandmother passed away.... He says so we could save our money but we know he was getting lonely but he will never admit to that lol, and we are saving money! I work for an emergency animal hospital as a veterinary technician, it doesn't pay much but it can be very rewarding sometimes. Like we say, we don't do it to get rich, we do it because we like it! Sometimes thats more important than getting rich.
Anyways we are saving to hopefully get a house someday.I love fishing and spending time with my family. I also love playing dragonvale obviously lol but I think im just as drawn to this forum to talk with you guys. I think its really cool to have a place where everyone has at least one thing in common but then you get to know them and you may find that you have other things in common* does that make sense lol. Ok I think that's it. Any questions? Lol
Tony, you are rich.
Poppy
Totally agree with you Poppy. Lots of people don't see the difference between rich and wealthy. You can be rich and have no money or wealthy but not rich. The very, very lucky have both. To me it sounds that Poppy would be an example of having both. Would love to know how you have such a rich marriage. I know it takes hard work, but unfortunately to quote Maverick in Top Gun, my first crashed and burned. Am in another relationship and scared to get married too quickly as have 2 beautiful children from. The first and don't want them to get hurt. Any tips.

In my opinion being friends is soooo important. 2nd is communication and 3rd is agreeing to disagree. Easy peasy. lol

Well with that... My first was a bit lets say hell... When I met Q we moved quick but I told him I really never wanted to do that again.. Our twins were 6months old when he tricked me... I always said we r happy just the way we r do u need a piece of paper to make us happier... I know people that have been a family for ever and never felt the need to get married.. And are completely happy. Then I have some friends that got married and divorced in the same year... I think with you having the babies you should do what is best for the three of you.. If taking it slow is what feels right then he needs to except that... If he loves you enough he will be ok with what ever you decide to do... But with kids they always get attached.. My mom has a friend that was married to a lady and she had a daughter from a past marriage.. The guy was a db dad.. Her and tim had a child of their own later on. When they got divorced he wanted to stay in his step daughters life and asked the court to allow this... They are closer then her and her mom.. He has paid for her collage and taken care of her since she was 5.... Not sure if this helps I hope it does... Best of luck to you...

I'm usually reluctant to give advice about matters as weighty as relationships, but there is one thing that I believe I've learned over the years. People don't fundamentally change. I've seen so many women marry guuys with serious flaws thinking they can change them with love. Seems to rarely happen. The flaws may remain under the surface, but they emerge sooner or later.
A corollary to that theory is that whatever we are we become more of it as we get older.
I'm completely unqualified to give advice on marriage as my own has been kind of nauseatingly perfect. My wife and I both highly value trust and loyalty and we have a shared mission - family. We've said throughout our entire marriage that it's not about her, it's not about me - it's about us. We willingly sacrifice to the "us", not to each other.
See, told you it was nauseating.

I agree. Especially about the agreeing to disagree!! I think ppl tend to argue over the smallest of things that really arent worth arguing about. Once you realise, marriage can be so much easier

I disagree it takes hard work. I have only been married once, but I kissed a lot of ugly frogs to get to my hubby. My frogs were hard work, but my relationship with Paul is like canoeing downstream. I would take your time as it involves your children too. If he loves you, he will understand as a best friend would.
