GC: MicheleGameC Level: 60 Pledge: boring for now unless I can put a placeholder here and say I'll be more creative and edit this post when I can think. Head colds and creative posts are a dangerous combination.... I'll at least do something like 1 to every moderator/admin who is still in after I go out.
Can I join but only if it's a limited? According to the Forecast, there are a bunch of limited dragons coming up in October and I've been saving the new permanent dragons for when there is a lull (which is not very often!). The last competition was crazy but lots of fun!
GC: TevaPup Level 43 I'll stick with "boring" for right now :-)
Like Vonfirmath said, you can always drop out. You'll just have to pay your pledge to the winner.
As a side note: I've udpated my pledge. A gem to everyone out before either rulilind or kydolind get their ?? dragon!
I need gems for buying island themes. In other words, I'm in!

I'm going to stick with my last pledge since it was easy to track without thinking too hard: 1 gem to anybody still in the competition after I'm out plus an extra gem to the winner.

Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless gas, which if left alone in large enough quantities, for long enough, will begin to think about itself.
A) 1 gem to each competitor still in the running after me B) 1-4 gems to the winner as decided by the roll of 1d4 C) 1 gem to each runner-up to the depth of 1d6 D) 1 gem to 5 random recipients determined by the roll of 1d100 against the final entrant list, re-rolling for rolls that exceed the total E) 1 gem deducted from the total commitment, if any, to whoever came up with the term "boring" provided s/he fesses up!
I'll show you boring! *glares meaningfully and challengingly around the room...*

vonfirmath is right. I used the word boring first, and she followed by stating her pledge as "boring".
By the way, I would like to point out that I really like your signature. However, I cannot apply for the position, since I already am/have an archenemy. However, I wish you quick success in finding your own. After all, without an archenemy, things become very boring.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

I can feel your glare...
Your pledge is so so not boring at all, as at matter of fact it's confusing, to me
However, that is not the purpose of my post. Allow me, to redirect your attention to the post below:

I do suspect, Skitch, the moderators will be within their rights to refuse to monitor your pledge given so much of it depends on die rolls you do on your desk outside of the computer.

This pledge certainly is not boring at all. When would you roll the dices? At the beginning of the competition?
Really happy with my gorgeous avatar by ElektronX! GCID: Andr3i4 Any and all friends for Cooperative Breeding are welcome. Gladly accepting any twins also.

Precisely. I shall fix my pledge forever in stone once breeding has begun in earnest. This should also address the excellent point by vonfirmath about the burden my opposite-from-boring pledge would otherwise place on our fine moderators! When the competition is finally underway, all interested parties will know how many gems I'll pay to the winner, how deeply I will pay into the runner-up stack, and which competitors will be the lucky recipients of the random participation gem.
I'm still pondering over what I shall do about the gem penalty to the perpetrator of the "boring" comment since that seems to have a slightly muddled provenance...

Ah, but don't forget: gems paid come from a magical tree and won't actually deplete my gem horde!
I think she means that, if you don't send gems to your regular gem buddies, they might not send you gems back.

Hmm, you may be right. But one of my gem buddies is my super-secret B park, whose gem I can use at my discretion (I'm typically very forgiving of myself if I neglect to gift myself). This is the gem I used to pay my Leathery debts.
