Skitch, While it is true that GregDarcy fixed it as you asked, in typical gregdarcy style, he did not fix it in the most helpful way possible. Sadly despite tremendous efforts on the part of the other staff members, such shenanigans continue. .

Gosh - I hope all this complicated ness and new status of 'boring ' won't put off any newbies! Took me ages to pluck up the courage to even enter a Last Call comp.

I do worry though, that it will start an arms race of non-boring, complex, hard to understand and even harder to police, pledges for future last-calls.
I'm certainly starting to draft mine
At some point these pledges will become so complex that they will lemmyloop around and become boring once again. I expect that in the next contest we will reach a stage where our pledges will be "a gem proportional to each participant's warp factor at the time of breeding the dragon" and we'll all just have to list the speed at which we're flying.

Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless gas, which if left alone in large enough quantities, for long enough, will begin to think about itself.
I just wanted to keep it simple: reward the losing winner winning loser while also rewarding the last sparring partner/s, but wasn't too sure I could monitor up to 3 slots.
But next time I promise I'll also come up with a non-subjective pledge that also fulfils the simple criterion. (I still don't know how, but I'll work it out).

Completely non-boring pledge: One gem to all people with interesting pledges that are still in the competition when three people with boring pledges have won lost.
The Ragnarok Dragon has arrived! It'll live in the Apocalypse habitat but doesn't have a time-limited symbol. And there's a large Apocalypse habitat too.
