I'll be buying that 50'gem set during a double weekend to maki,Ine what I get for it.
Be aware, you don't get Iceberry credit for this gem purchase.
"However, I'm waiting. Apparently the 50 gems don't count as gems being spent, and you don't get Iceberries for them. Bane cane on the DV Wikia has contacted BFS, and I'm waiting to hear if he gets a response and to see if that's adjusted, cause I'd really like Iceberries for spending my gems."
Hmm, plan to upgrade another section of the Gem Stone Island to huge, guess I would not receive any berries this upgrade either.

I did that in one of the earlier events and got the event reward.

PS - I'd rather be planting and pulling bushes than looking for Sandakloz. Thanks to all for the great tips to help find him.
I'm finding myself enjoying the hunt. HOWEVER. I don't have a lot of time to play so I'm going to be hard pressed even to just get both new dragons for now
Wait it just occurred to me... is that TWO snowflake habitats?
Edit: I now see that they look a little different. The one on the right doesn't have the large snowflakes. I think this is similar to the gemstone habitat situation. Upon event completion, you'll be able to purchase snowflake habitats that look almost the same but DO take up a habitat slot. Atleast I assume so. I mean think about it... what if someone wanted to display 8 snowflakes? They'd have to allow more habitats. Yeah... that makes sense.
Today I woke up on a lovely morning to find... 8 gifts(thank you, everybody! [x^2 + y^2 - 1]^3 = x^2 * y^3 ). What's peculiar is that they all had berries.

Anyone has any theory if the two Snowflake Dragons obtained by collecting berries will be be breedable after that? Aiming for two of every dragon and don't want things to change due to a technicality.
ao to anyone not getting berries with every gift, like you see it has them but you don't get the berries, collect the gifts one at a time, I do because I think it happened to me a few time and I want to be sure I gret all my berries... It's annoying but if it saves 10-20 berries a day it saves over 200 berries and that's worth it.

Gem friends are full. But I love seeing new parks!
Still need: cyclops, snowy silver, arbor, bouquet, dream, sprout
Either I am really being unlucky or there's some problem with my game. Friends that used to send gems regularly suddenly are not doing so. I am only getting 2 or 3 gits a day. At this rate I won't have enough iceberries to get the prizes. And I don't want to get new friends in case it's just an unfortunate coincidence or a glitch. I hope at least I get gifts to guarantee my special dragon gifts. I really don't know what to do.

Really happy with my gorgeous avatar by ElektronX! GCID: Andr3i4 Any and all friends for Cooperative Breeding are welcome. Gladly accepting any twins also.
Luckily found Sandykloz pretty much straight away. Spitting image of Santa. Ovalith Dragon is available to breed or for 3650 Gems. Bloom + Panlong, and a suitable 30 hour incubation period. Dusk and Dawn are Sun+Moon at 20 hours, with them needing to be bred either in the day or at night, like Sun and Moon themselves. Rift dragons remain the same, whilst Nosferatu just requires all its elements, whilst also being bred at night.
**Also** don't quote me on this, but the breeding hints for all the snowflake dragons say they only require Snowflake + Snowflake, so hopefully after getting the first two through the event, you can breed the others, in case people don't complete the event, and don't want to wait a whole year!
As did I, put he got on his portal and floated away! Dang it. Can't find him anywhere now? I'm looking forward to is event. If DV are listening, you got it perfffeeeccctt this time! Well done! I live it, and I'm going to be serious on this one, Far superior to the fireflies event... Grrr I didn't like that one....
No longer active on DragonVale! *briefly back online*
It seems like they may be following the pattern of the Gemstone Habitat becoming a Gemstone Reward Habitat and then making a different Snowflake Habitat for the market.
Looking in the dragonarium I see that Coal is not epic, nor does it have the limited time hourglass, so apparently once it is released, it will always be available and live in a regular elemental habitat.
The Snowflake dragons are cute and all, but whenever I see them my brain goes But, Steve! Real snowflakes are hexagonal! and I have to tell it to shut up, that they're magical dragons and can be whatever shape they want to be.
It doesn't like that very much. No wonder we don't get along.
I was always under the impression that they could have 6-line symmetry? Or are you talking about the actual shape of the snowflakes on the dragons bc I'm not very impressed with those...

A bit of both. I meant 6-line symmetry but said hexagonal because my mind had wandered to bond angles and ice crystal structure by the time I started typing it. The dragons either don't have enough points on their flakes or have circular flakes which is just wrong.

We're considering what to do differently, if anything, in light of the new splash page that states that Level 20 dragons have better odds of breeding rare dragons. If we're trying for a second Panlong (just got the first; only Apocalypse to go and then we'll have all but this Goodies event five), we're thinking that increasing the odds of getting a Rainbow or even a DR would not be such a good thing. Not sure how BFS defines "rare" in this context. We'd love to hear how others are thinking about this.

Buffy, all past events have given event currency for upgrades! I don't see why not.
That said, these past 24 hours have been unbelievably unbearable. How do you excuse yourself from a family reunion to farm Dragon Snaps? As it was I had to keep a dragon in the Colosseum up to 30 minutes past midnight. That means I'll be playing up to past midnight every day till January 11th. Anyway, that's probably how long it'll take me to trap Sandakloz 4 times.
I've managed to max him so far. Dunno how I do it, but I do it
