OK, I've been trying for Light Rift in one or both spots since BEB began. That time has arrived...
Pixie, oh Pixie, my kind-hearted friend Please fly through my park, upon thee I depend. I find myself desperate, and therefore do plead For my dragons are hopeless when it comes time to breed.
Mirage + Mirage brings me more of the same Dark Rift + Love were also not game, So I switched Love to Sand- it might as well be Coal. (I'm enjoying the cash, but long fails took their toll.)
For weeks I've been trying for Light Rift, you see. All attempts were for naught. So please hear my plea. Sprinkle your dust on both island and cave, And whisper of Light Rift to my dragons so brave.
Perhaps if they hear you and see your sparkles fall, Their desire to breed other dragons will pall. I hope so, for Light Rift's the only limited I miss. BEB will end soon, please help me in this!

bansidh, I am not Pixie so I can't send pixie dust your way. But I can threaten to make hamburger from a mirage if they don't cooperate. Do you think that might help?

So that we can make a mini gem shower for them. We also could make a second column where members which don't need gems such urgent (because they have gotten already the prize they wanted) can sign up, so that the gem trading partners of the latter could maybe gift to the others instead ? I would fit in the second column.
Great idea! I'll try to put something together in the gem shower thread once I get home from school.

POTM Excellent idea. Done. Buffy actually suggested a gem shower along similar lines a couple of weeks ago, but we felt it was too early and unwieldy then. Now however...

On the other hand if you are basking in the glory of knowing that your OCD has got you all the iceberries you need for your goals and can temporarily go without a gem or three, post your gloating there too.

It might have just been luck, but I bred my Light Rift with a Light dragon and first try got another rift (still waiting to see which, hoping for Dark!). The percentages in the sandbox seem inaccurate with the Rift dragons, so I'm not sure if it really helps or not, but at least the 8 hour fail time isn't bad. It took me FOREVER to get my Light Rift, so I feel your pain. Here's sending you koala!
Just managed to get enough berries for the treatery today. Since I'm almost certain there will be double berries this weekend, I should be able to get all the prizes without spending any money again. I'm happy about that.
Do we know what time on the 11th the contest will end (central)? I am at 660 working towards the dragonsai reward. I think I will make it, but I want to be sure. I don't care so much about the last theme or more food, but I do want the extra gem giving capacity to work through my backlog.
On the plus side, I have finally achieved two of every dragon and one of every pedestal, so it had been a successful contest/beb no matter what.
I like the treatery, though I wish it were more than 3.
Having tried several times to breed a Snowflake. No. 4 with a pair of No. 3s, and only hatching more 3s, am I more likely to produce my No. 4 if I return to breeding Nos. 1 and 2?

I'm in Eastern US and the event timer resets about 1 AM my time, and then I expect to have until about 12:30 PM my time to still collect with doubles on the 12th. This is of course assuming that everything is the same as in past events. It can help to save Kairos to use Monday morning to try to collect more treats and DC before the event ends.
I just want to remember everybody that this next weekend will very probably be a doubles weekend. In all last events the doubles started round about 19:00 in my time zone which will be in about 27 hours. The cycle for collecting berries will start in 15 hours. It may be a good advice to hold off collecting then till the doubles will start. But as always with BFS : nothing is for sure, it's only my assumption. Maybe this time everything will be different
Sorry to quote myself, but I'd like to add that the advice to hold off collecting is not valid for the colosseum. If the doubles will start at the supposed time and end three days later, we will have 4 times the possibility to collect berries. However we will then only have three cycles of colsseum (because it always takes at least 24 hours). So if your colosseum ends before the doubles start (and you will be able to reset it at those time for the next days) you might want to reset it one time before the doubles and then three times during the doubles.
Also i will look one to two times for Santa before the doubles, because in Europe there's not so much time left from the day when the doubles start. (That's no problem in America)

If you have a pair of Snowflake 1s, you can try switching your combination out for those. There are 2 more fails than using a pair of Snowflake 3s, and you'll get a higher chance of getting 1s than 3s, but at least the breeding and incubating times of the 1s are 10% of the 3s.
...We might need to start giving more individualised names to the Snowflakes.

In the help menu it says that the event will end on the 11th Colorado time. Previous events said through a certain date (ie through the 5th and it actually ends on the 6th).
Prediction for when the event ends time wise--9 AM Colorado time based on their previous events.
I'm waiting to click - and gift - for a few more hours, hoping that we have doubles soon today.
