Ok so lets do some new math # of berries 40 for eggs 40 for treats 40 for habitat collection 25 for the coliseum 24 for the clause 10 for visiting friends So that's 179 easy to get berries now it gets tricky 60 more from getting gifts making it 239 with some friends Next 40 for gems is 279 plus 10 for clearing means max 289 per day
Now 8160 is the cost for everything -50 for the tutorial is 8110 assume 2 double weekends for 6 days making the event 30 days idk who im quoting on that 8110/30 is 271 per day. So it's possible to get everything Without paying, just really really really really really really really really hard. With 6 gifts a day no and no obstacles to clear if you spend 25 gems a days (one large habitat making it 15) on non double days and max on double days you will get the dragonsai thingy.
So total gems needed is 810.... Earning 12 a day during the event means you needed 522 gems minimum yesterday. Yay math. Do with this as you please. It gets more complicated if you can make the double weekends last 4 days but I'm not getting into that.
justintime, thanks for the math. I really like to see someone laying it out.
It was good to be able to check my math against what you laid out above. The main goal of the sheet is to see how many gems I have to spend to get all the prizes (or if it is even possible). Based on my calculations (which could be wrong - I would love for someone to audit them), if you spend max gems on the double gems day, you would have to spend just over 4 gems every other day of the event (assuming you get all Iceberries from activities including clearing obstacles). But all that is configurable in the sheet.
(By the way, we are friends in the game - GCID: bumperdog. I forgot I friended you a while ago.)

That is a fantastic analysis, thank you. It gets a little easier the more Santakloz you find though. He seemed to reset with the berries in my park, even though I'd found him just an hour or less before then.

The berries are gifted with the gems. There's a new column that'll show if you got berries and treats from that friend along with the gem.
Yes, and there is never any berries accompanying them. So, not sure what's going on.
Gifts sent before the event started have no berries attached, gift sent since should get you 10. If you have recent gifts without berries, consider dropping BFS a line

But you can click on him when he's on the portal! So if you want to find him quicker, just landlock all your portals. Then you only have to look at the portal for each island - should be a lot quicker!
what does landlocking portals mean? i surrounded the portals with a path and then some bushes but the visitors just walk through the bushes :c

DV only seems to update the paths a visitor can take every few minutes, so after moving or placing things, it can be a while before the visitors realise and recognise the change.

I've noticed when moving things around that the visitors will walk right through everything until the game "reloads" (ie. You get the winter splash thing again.) The island layout must be a cached elements as far as determining visitor motion. (If you want to have fun, you can position a habitat in the way and watch visitor walk right into a dragon's mouth when the timing works out. *grin*)
That said, surrounding with paths won't work as they are specifically designed for visitors to walk on, so they won't block anything. Habitats and decorations should work, including purchased trees/bushes, but as I said, you may have to reload the game to get the visitors to "see" the new obstacles.
I also noticed when I tried this on islands other than the lost island, that some visitors were just showing up spontaneously around the island, so *just* surrounding the portal with bushes, for example, didn't seem to be enough. So I've reconfigured all of my islands with a "ring" pattern of habitats & decorations with the portal in the middle.
That appears to have made my visitors happy. They stay inside the ring because they don't have to leave the ring to visit all the habitats, and I made the rings small enough that I can see the entire island in one glance. If you really want to limit visitor motion further, create a path from the portal in a circle or square that leads back to the portal. If there are paths on an island, the visitors will stay on it and not wander randomly.
Let me know if you're having trouble picturing it and I'll try to get a screenshot.

I did reload it, the visitors now enter through the portal and immediately leave but there are still some walking around the island (maybe the portal is blocked now so they can't go home, doomed to forever wander the one island).
if it's not too much trouble that screenshot would help thanks
Does Sandakloz move or stay in one place? Does he go from island to island? I've searched ever square inch of my park, moved habitats, decorations, etc. and I can't find this guy. Doesn't help that I have to zoom in so far to even see the "visitors" that I can't see more than 1/10th of an island at a time.
I cannt find him either...
He moves around. I found him twice on 2 different islands. Those cute snowmen throw me off. I see their red hats and tap them thinking they are Sandakloz.

I am having the worst luck finding him. I just might have to suck it up and go buy an iPad this weekend!! My old eyes and tiny Sandaklauz on my iPhone are NOT working well together!
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all/Gloom, despair, and agony on me... {HeeHaw, 1970s - totally showing my age)

I was thinking that adding paths to my islands might do it. This might be the thing that causes me to normalize my island decoration

Anybody know the minimum level required to get the event? My infant Level 10 park (conceived as a simple 3-habitat park for lightning-quick party-hat visits) isn't able to play...

Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless gas, which if left alone in large enough quantities, for long enough, will begin to think about itself.

Oh man blah, thanks for sharing this file! I do love a good Excel spreadsheet I did a few minor changes to adjust it to my needs. Namely in the input berries columns as I track mine in a slightly different way. The other change is probably a more useful one to anyone else using the sheet. I've decided not to go for the big prize. I'll be trying to earn gems so that I might be able to buy the Lost Island. Yay! So I modified the cell N15 to only calculate how many iceberries were needed to get up to the second Snowflake as that's my goal. I don't know if this is something you want to add on or not. (Heck, if you want I can finagle around and add a drop down choice so that users may select which prize is their goal!)

I haven't been searching for the Kloz.... I just zoom in near (not on) a portal on a busy island and wait. After a few seconds to a minute or so, he shows up. At least that has worked so far. Could be a coincidence or I have special powers.

That seems to work for me too since I only spotted him 3 times, and I looked for him multiples times yesterday. So still I am not 100% sure.
