I am wondering: assuming you have a pair breeding in the berrywhite breeding cave and the event comes to an end on the 22nd. What happens ? The island and the cave are going to disappear. Are your dragons just sent back to their habitat and you have no egg? Or does it gives you the egg which was under way even if the breeding time is not over.
I'm assuming the dragons go back to their habitats and the egg gets "gifted" to you, so that you can put it in the nursery when you have a free slot...

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. Like when you get the Thorn dragon. It doesn't go to your Nursery, but you get it in the gifts menu.
I am having the same issue as you cynmed, so you are not alone. The closer we get to the end of the event, the harder it becomes.
I received the second Thorn dragon last night, but here was the glitch. All together that dragon cost me 1998 roses. Nope that is not a typo. dragon to collect. I was collecting last night when the game said I had collected enough roses to receive the 2nd Thorn Dragon. The pop up banner was pretty. So I click okay, go to social and no the tree says I stillsland and notice I now have 5 rose bushes, but the dragon egg is still on the pedestal and the collection bar is still there, nfare). need 58 to get the dragon. I buy (due to curiosity) after doing all the usual troubleshooting and I get the dragon (no new faGo back to event iI have created a spreadsheet for each event to keep track. My spreadsheet totaled 2004 for the 2nd Thorn with 6 left over. I turn those 6 in and the game says 1094 needed for the Omnitat which makes the habitat 1100. It will be interesting to see if this holds true.
So, at some point, BFS corrected a mistake they made with the Rose amounts for prizes. When the event was first released, the amount of roses required for the first and second Thorn dragons were different. BFS "corrected" their error, making both Thorns require the same amount of roses, and decreased the cost of the Omnitat, but then failed to make other necessary adjustments, such as to when the rose clusters would bloom or when the pop up would appear.
Forgive them. QA and testing have never been one of their strengths.

I have just completed all my collecting for today, the 16th of Feb. So that leaves me with 6 collection days remaining.
I have just acquired the second Thorn dragon. The event island informs me that I still need 933 roses to acquire the Omnitat.
Do I need to continue to spend gems to complete the event?
Colosseum 15 Party Hats 10 Dragons 80 DC 40 Treats 40 Gardenia 20 Daily Total: 205 205 * 6 days = 1230, not counting gifting
So yes, I can stop spending gems. That's a relief!

I also have received my 2nd Thorn, so barring any unforeseen problems or a glitch, I will be able to get my omnitat. I don't know if we are going to do anything like the last event, but I do not need any gifts for the duration of the event. I plan to be looking at my friends list to see who needs a boost.
As far as decoration, the Path does not go w/ anything in the park. The combination of colors reminds me of the Obsidian dragon. We did ask for different paths, BFS delivered but they just missed the mark.
The Path of Petals does have a nice romantic ring to it.
The path of petals look best with the dark island theme, round the dark habitats. Not so good with other island themes.
I have a dark island, + dark island theme. Played around w/ the path placing it in various part of the island, but the path just did not enhance or beautified the island. It was just "meh".

I used my new path just as an accent on my breeding/farm island, which has all the other rose/Valentines themed objects and no island theme. Used very sparingly it's...OK. I wish they'd put the petals on either grey stone or even transparent, as others mentioned. It's just too vibrant as is.
(i also just ran into the second thorn bug mentioned above. Thanks to this place, I won't worry about it. LOL)

Isn't that crazy? I'm over 10B now, coming up on 11. Hard (for me, at least) to spend it when there's nothing to decorate. LOL

Thanks. You saved me the trouble of calculating it myself. Looks like I can stop spending gems as well. Which is great, because I don't really have anything to breed for anymore. Looks like I can start stockpiling for the next event.
Hello Jack, If you click on the Help Icon on the event island (the icon with the em lovely Gardenia) you will have all infis in the event. Last line informs us that it will finish on the 22nd of february.
Quick question? When does this event end? Does anyone know the date?

Although when BFS gives an end date, it usually means 07:30 BFS time the next day. Not sure if it's the case this event, but based on the previous events, it's a good estimate.
Roses are still blue, discounted sales ending in 16 hours from now. I just got a gem gift and got 10 roses. It s 2 in the morning here, tuesday. That is a long week end. I thus would think that there won t be another double roses week end next friday....
