With the extra long weekend of double roses, consider that we might not get any more double days before the event is over.
Of course, I don't know that for sure. But it's something to consider.

Nah, you're probably right. I don't know why I'm so convinced that we didn't have any, but since two people have already said otherwise, then y'all are probably right.

You don't buy roses with gems directly. But every gem you spend gets you a rose. Up to a limit of 40 per day.

You can't buy roses with gems. When you spend gems (for buying habitats, habitat slots, speeding up breeding, etc.) you can get roses. Up to a certain amount a day. If you spent gems and got doubles earlier today that went to or above the cap you may not be able to get any more roses now.

A few days ago, before the special on roses of course, I bought $10.00 worth. I just wanted to make sure I would be in good shape without straining for every last fragrant vagrant. This morning I got the Omnitat, all finished. So now with several days left I will be collecting meaningless roses. I could of have two five buck lunches at Dairy Queen!
BTW, I like the Omnitat. It enabled me to pull some level 20's out of the hibernation cave and to have one of each adult dragon displayed. I also like the $1.75M maximum gc accumulation. Nice to have.

Hello Jack, If you click on the Help Icon on the event island (the icon with the em lovely Gardenia) you will have all infis in the event. Last line informs us that it will finish on the 22nd of february.

Two funny thought for you:
I did this EXACT same thing for xmas - and my purchase was NOT during double days. I felt so dumb a few days later... But there were some nice treats for my dragons at the end. not $10 worth, but still.
As for the other thought: Wind chill advisory today, high of 7 degrees (not Celsius but Fahrenheit, but at least it's not Kelvin). None the less, as a true middle aged man nearing the dinner hour, my mouth is watering and I'm thinking of heading to DQ. No doubt in my mind that I wouldn't get out of there for under $10. Even if it was just me. I have a wife and 3 kids... and dinner at DQ for under $50 would be lucky So... I'll skip DQ, pretend it's a wash with DV, and I'm 1 up for eating a healthy dinner.

There's a DQ here in town that I swear has really good food. And you can't beat a burger, fires, drink and sundae for five bucks. Maybe I return some roses to BFS and get a refund. i'd rather have treats for me than treats for my dragons!

Has anybody gotten the last reward yet ? Will the event then end ?
In other words : I don't need anymore roses ! I turned them in when I was 3 roses short to the omnitat and now have 60 more in my basket. So you can gift the roses to someone else. I plan to accumulate some more before turning them in, because I fear that then the event island will disappear. But it's easy going now.
Will resume our normal sched. when the event is over. You should do the same for me. Xx

I haven't had much time this event, so my mom has been doing a bunch of stuff in my park. She has also been going into the old DOLILIND account. I can see what a difference gifts make because in that park I still need around 200 for the second thorn. I am very thankful for the many people who send me gifts, but it looks like LIKYLIND should be set to get the omnitat, so feel free to send them to someone else. I would like to echo earlier posts in wondering if we will set up a thread like we did last time. Since my mom says she doesn't need any more gifts, I have her gift to give away, and I would like it to go to someone who needs it.

I am about 400 roses away from the final prize, and in good shape. You can divert my gifts as well. Looked thru my gem buddies and I have two that are still working toward 1st Thorn.
I can vouch that they do play because I receive gems from them everyday. They don't have many friends. I think they are members of DV Comm.

I'm about 200 away from second thorn, not sure if I can get the omnitat now or not. I'm unlikely to spend cash as I spent loads at the winter event and don't have much spare just now. But at least I'll definitely get both dragons!
I can't spend cash this month (bought Disney World tickets for my Spring vacation) and I'm at 3966 roses -- haven't turned any in yet -- so I think I can make 434 to get the second thorn but there is no way I'll get the Omnitat.

I too am in good shape for the Omnitat comfortably. Any friends, please feel free to give dailies to others who need it, perhaps similar to how we concluded the winter event by piling on for those that needed to get to the dragon or some other goal?
A quick reflection on this event from a married man with children (intended satire, fyi). I'm not sure this is my holiday... Hunting down Gardenia has been a little too close to home for me this time. In the hours I've spent looking for her I've found car keys, my other sock, Waldo, rare coins, long-lost Lego figures, and Carmen San Diego. And some guitar picks (but they're all over the place and always turn up when you're not even looking, so that's hardly noteworthy). All in an attempt to get roses that I then turn in for points, basically exchanging them for what I would rather have: a dragon and a place to put him, arguably the bench is nice for sitting but I prefer a couch / recliner - and some food when it's all done. An odd barter system indeed... but keep in mind, penguins couple by giving each other a pebble - so our species has flowers going for us.

Okay, I'm now at 1500+ roses towards getting my second Thorn Egg. I guess there aren't enough days left in the event for me to get the Omnitat, too, huh?
