Does the event end when you get the final reward? Or can you approach a limitless amount of treat reward, if you collected a theoretically endless amount of roses?
In the help menu it states that when the event is done treats will be rewarded for extra roses. So based on that language, it looks like the latter would be true.
BTW, anyone think it odd that a Golden Hybrid is going to be the event reward?
Will it be available as a normal GH after the event?
Or is it actually a special, and there will be a normal Plant/Metal GH later?
I find it an odd choice of reward dragon.

I also find it a little annoying that in the dragonarium that it's listed under vernal and not under love and that it isn't cross-posted in the plant and medal categories.
My first thought after seeing the egg was that--if it's a golden hybrid, are they going to release it as breedable right after? If so, it supports NinjaKiwi's statement:

I can see it being this week and the last week OR next weekend since that is Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th, a Saturday) and the final weekend (just because it would be profitable for BFS to have one since everyone is more likely to spend at the end of the event.) That said, a three week event does make the 'IF' scenario possible. I hope it won't be though

Except sometimes you get tens roses with 1 gem and no treats. It's happened to me and people on the Dragonvale Breeding Group on Facebook are reporting the same thing.

I found her glitching on a portal, stuck in place, constantly appearing and disappearing. Seems like she is just going to be found once every day for the 20 roses.
Magic tells me it's going to reset in 3 and a bit hours. That the same for everyone? Will miss out on my first Collosseum reward as it still has 4+ hours to go.
Assuming this event runs the way the others have, Yes we will all reset at the same time. The Colosseum is tricky as it is a 24Hr turnaround. You can only get it once a day and if, like me, you let it slip a bit each day, there is a good chance you will miss another cycle too. At least having a 23 hour buffer you should be able to handle a fair amount of slippage. Now why does that remind me of Connie Willis?
Again based on past experience, glitching on a portal happens if there is nowhere to go. Try putting some decorations and a few paths on that island so she has somewhere to walk.
After 20 minutes of searching, I finally found her pushing her cart of roses. She can be extremely difficult to see on naked, themeless, islands.
Working towards my first Thorn dragon at this point. The third breeding spot has been helpful for getting me epic clones on the side.
I do rather like how you've got some little couples walking round the park. On a little valentines date. A small but well thought out detail I think
Dunno... as a sometime real-life designer it made me feel I should have wider paths (whole new regridding game).
Certain things die hard. I've always used stones for paving, for instance. Not because they're cheap, but they're safe. I still have to convince myself that the wizards never slip.
I just noticed the animation on the omnitat. Lava running into water making it bubble and steam. That's pretty sweet.
Also the description says it can hold just about any dragon, so maybe it can hold epics, just not Kairos.
Someone on the FB page bought all the rewards, the habitat can hold *any* dragon, so you can put 4 DRs in it if you want.

The other thing that occurs to me is that with Thorn being an opposite Dragon, the best bet for breeding a second is probably Thorn + Plant. Plant is a super quick fail, and will earn some more Roses, with Malachite (or Ironwood, I forget which) being a rare fail and the rest of the time you should end up with Thorn.
Fletch_smf. That assumes you can breed more once you have one. Given that it is flagged as not available and not epic then I would expect normal rules to preclude you breeding another if you only have one.
