My game crashed a couple of weeks ago when I was part way through gifting gems to friends. When I restarted the gems that I had sent were gone but it didn't show me who I had sent them too. I had to guess who I had sent them too, maybe this happened and they sent a second gem to you by mistake?
Yes. His game crashed during the gifting process. He ended up giving me two gems then realized later he was one gem short.
Maybe the BFS wizards decided that you've been extra nice, and wanted to reward you (benevolent deity Lotus) for that?
GCID: rionhow Thanks to ElektronX for my Light Rift avatar!
As always generally agree Jamesvaler! Game play has distinctly change and I for one do notlike it. Easy enough to create a new game and leave this one alone but nope bfs has totally screwed it up.IMHO 3 events a year would be more than enough...the goal of having every dragon and evey item is now a distant history and futile. Tahtah bfs.good riddance
I can understand the way you feel, but you are obviously in the minority. BFS has access to all the numbers. They can tell how active players are and how much money is being spent. As they have made it possible to play DV without spending money it's easy to forget that they are a for profit company. They have to ultimately base decisions on the bottom line. If events increase player participation and revenues, then they're going to have frequent events. They might risk burning out some players, but they might also attract others. They have the statistics upon which to base their decisions. I'm not a BFS fan-boy - I have criticized them many times here. But I am an entrepreneur and it's easy to see the logic in their strategy.
Bottom line for we players is that we don't *have to* do anything. We don't have to buy gems, we don't have to participate in events, we don't have to even play. It's a game - it doesn't make sense to play it in a way that isn't enjoyable.
Poppy
Ditto. I enjoy the game, or I take a break. I play the events, or I ignore them. Sometimes I spend real cash in order to complete the events. (BFS usually runs a sale on what ever we are to collect just before the first doubles weekend and I wait until then to buy). These are choices I make. To my way of thinking, it helps keep BFS in business so I can continue playing a game I enjoy.

My park has roughly the same population density as Hong Kong making it very difficult to find those irritating little stars. I found two on days one and two and only one yesterday when I wasn't really looking. But everytime I've done a systematic search I've come up empty. I'm well known in the family for being unable to find things, most much larger than the stars. My 8-year old granddaughter Lilly, aka Eagle Eye, helps me out when she's here. But she's not here often enough to find all of the stars. I'm getting bailed out to some extent by the generosity of my friends and their gifts. But I'm thinking I can't afford to lose 20-30 stardust(s?) every day. Any tips other than the good one about path mode?

Poppy, when i don t find the second ie the third one, i just force log out of te game and the stars appear on a different spot. Just allways hoping that the new spots are more visible then previously. However, it can take time ...

I didn't have too much trouble with any of the other events, but the stars have been eluding me. Several days I have had kydolind find the last of them. In exchange, I grind for some of his treats. Today I decided to not use the path edit mode, but to just look for them once around the park first. Amazingly I found them all without any trouble. Now I am wondering if they are easier to find without the path edit mode or if they were just in easier to find spots. At least 2 were behind habitats, but a little of the glow showed up. Tomorrow I am going to try the same thing again, only before clicking on them, see what they look like in path edit, to decide which is better.
Edit: KYDOLIND did the same thing today, and found none without path edit. Then found them all with path edit. One was probably hidden with a dragon when he was looking, because although hidden behind a snowflake habitat, it was easily seen without path edit. One was so hidden behind a dark habitat, that only a speck of a point and of star dust was visible without path edit, so path edit was definitely needed. The third was in plane site. I wonder if it just showed up there, as one day just as I reached a spot, a glow disappeared. I wondered if the stars appear and disappear like the other hidden objects.

Jack tried imgur per Jv's suggestion, but it didn't quite work for him.
I tried it last night on my phone but didn't get it. I got the pic uploaded onto imgur, but cant figure out how to share it on here.
Will try again w/ my laptop in a bit.
While we're on the subject of posting pix, I've owed Buffy one for awhile. This is my monolith island, in the dark. As soon as I earn the Meridiem Hab, I'll post another island I've been working on.
I so enjoy seeing other parks and the creative islands being designed by others. What a treat to see the monolith island, thanks for sharing it with all of us!! And I loved seeing Buffy's islands when the lights went on last week... So beautiful!

I always have to use the path mode and zoom in. I have the island themes and have noticed that the yellow star always seems to be on my Light habitat so it blends in. The blue tends to be on my winter themed islands so it blends in as well, and lastly the purple star I tend to find hidden on my dark island that is dark and purplish in color. Very sneaky BFS!

I have the same issue sometimes. I close the game and then re-launch it. It sometimes takes 2-4 times before I find them.

As I am not a "form" person, I have filled all the hidden places with bushes. That way the stars are all forced to the front. That way the "function" of finding them is much easier. I have also noticed that they are not always there at first I need to linger sometimes.

Who needs rain ? What I want is snow (not now, not really, but for the next Christmas in my park) I hope that they will expand the possible weathers in the future. (Like with the twilight tower)
My photobucket is working but it has some serious bugs. For example when I copy a url-code the app freezes and I have to force close and relaunch it to be able to do something else. (The copied url is working though) It was just last week that I was wandering if a different app would work better. So if anybody has a good advice ... ? I heard now several times of imgur. Anything else ?
dragon list (last dragon : Gatren) DV friend id: Crumble#7733 friend link coop friends always welcome, but all my gems are spoken for
Since I like giving Epics their own personal habitats, the Meridiem habitat would be perfect for my Dusk dragons. And my Dawn dragons can have the Celestial habitat. Perfect!
I have seen a pictureof the positionn" rain" on the weather station, t is just an overlay like the current meteors on our islands. Nothing special, am not going to struggle for that. Side question : photobucket seems to be no longer working. What do you recommend to upload pictures here now?
Imgur is the best. Copy the "Bb link" from the drop down options menu and paste it into the forum and it will appear as per normal. Very easy to use too, especially from mobile devices when uploading screenshots.

Jv - I uploaded the pic onto imgur. Picked "Bb link" from the pull down option.
How do you paste it? Which keys do you use? Thanks JV.

I have the same problem and I use a protocol. First I use path edit mode, then I go all over everything in normal mode and if that doesn't work, I reset.
I've never been able to find all three in one sweep. Two at most, and that was more the exception. However, I do remember where I tend to find them because they sometimes repeat, if not the first time, on the second or third. (When you've got a lot of ground literally covered, the options to put stars in are limited).
Until I find a better workaround, I guess I just have to keep at this. But I haven't missed one yet.

Seeing as a lot of people are struggling uploading images to the site, I decided to make a simple guide.
This will be using imgur. Make an account and log in. Find and press this upload button
in the top right hand side.
Next you should be presented with this screen:
Be mindful, I am on my iOS iPad, so a computer or android version will probably look slightly different. Now choose the photos you want, in my case, simply by clicking on them. I have a choice from my gallery, but on the computer this will be your computer documents.
Click ok, and the pictures should be presented in a list, ready to upload, as so:
Click "start upload" The upload will take about 5 seconds per picture on a fast iPad or computer. Once it is complete return to "your gallery" of pictures by pressing the back button in the top left corner of the screen.
If you refresh, the uploaded pictures will appear in your gallery. Choose the one you want to upload and you will be presented with something like this, although a different picture, obviously:
Here's the problem; you don't want the link. You want the "Bb code" because that is what can be integrated into forums. You want this because then anyone in the forum can see. Your picture without having to change browser at all, or even follow a link. For you techno geeks out there, it works similar to how "smileys" work, by implementing coded formats for a different visual representation. To get the Bb code, click on the arrow next to the word "link" (a direct link to the photo) and you should get a drop down menu. Select the option saying "bb code", like so:
Your code will start with img in square brackets, "[" and "]". And end in /img in the same brackets.
Copy this and then paste it into the forum and ta-da there is your photo.
This may seem complicated, but it's great because I can screenshot something, get on imgur and upload it within a few clicks.
Proof that this works can be found in the pictures I provided in this guide as visual aid.
Hope this works for you.

Someone posted something on here about lvl 15 epics? Is it possible to get epics to lvl 15 and if so how? Thanks! ?
Yes, you would have needed to earn the Epic Relic from the last event. It was the last prize to obtain. Once you have it, you can level epics until level 15.
