I'm exhausted. I still haven't successfully bred a Mono 3 or 4, even with two pairs of Mono 1 and Mono 2 going non-stop in both breeding sites. Now, with only a day to catch my breath, I'm back to tracking every move I make, to make sure I've maximized my daily Stardust. Though I love the theme of this event, I find myself much less enthusiastic about it...

GCID- peanutzmom:) And yes, you need to include the smiley face
I give gems randomly to those who seem to need them because I'm not organized enough to keep a list, but I'm always looking for more Party Hat friends!

I don't know if I am mistaken, but the Tower option associated with nighttime are all slight different: Dusk, Spooky, Starfall and Winter. The background and music are very different, of course but, apart from that, how dark the islands look varies as well. It's easier to notice this with the Light Theme.

I found the third star, the purple one that is the hardest for me to find, was distracted by the TV for a second and the phone went to sleep. Even though the game did not fully close (android) when I re-entered the game, the star had moved four islands over.
I agree with the first part but respectfully disagee with the second. I think they're just trying to keep people engaged. It does stir things up to have special events, especially cool ones like this one. Have you noticed the activity level here at the forum? Almost 1,000 unique visitors in the past 24 hours, quite an increase over the routine traffic.
My attention span is admittedly shorter than most humans, but I actually started feeling twinges of boredom in the couple of days after the last event ended. Ho hum, robotic collection of dragon cash, saving of gems. Even an event is not enough to keep me busy. During the last one I built my egg collection from 79 to one short of complete (stinkin' Jet!).
Have fun. Take what you want, leave the rest. You don't *have* to participate in events (unless of course you're a hopelessly addicted DV junkie like me).
Cheers, Poppy
I completely agree with everything you say. Except that these events are special anymore. These events are cool! But when we are starting to have the, non-stop I don't think they are in anyway special anymore. It is nice to see these forums filled during events like these, but like Greg, I am starting to hope they change it up, do something TRULY special. Events in my opinion should occur 3 or 4 times a year. Not all the time.
I feel that the gameplay has changed. Dv was a simple game with simple goals. Breed dragons, collect dragons and decorate lots of islands. Now we have to collect specific targets and I feel that the game at the same time is becoming more stressful. And as much as I would love to ignore these events, they always introduce new dragons, which of course I need if I want to get 2 of every dragon, my primary goal. And, as shown by last event, I am not sticking with just one dragon and using epic breeding rules... Oh no, after last time, where I only got my mono 2 due to buffys lifesaving skills, I'm gonna have to do this event properly. Oh well...
I understand that lots of people are enjoying these events, but I have noticed that as they occur more and more frequently, more people are starting t get tired of them. I am happy for you that you do really enjoy these events, but I wish BFS would stop piling them on crazily. And from what I've heard from a lot of people, they're gonna have to buy stardust to get the weather changing thing. And after so many events which were micro-transaction free, that's quite a greedy thing to do in my opinion. Each to their own I guess.

As always generally agree Jamesvaler! Game play has distinctly change and I for one do notlike it. Easy enough to create a new game and leave this one alone but nope bfs has totally screwed it up.IMHO 3 events a year would be more than enough...the goal of having every dragon and evey item is now a distant history and futile. Tahtah bfs.good riddance

I understand the frustration, as patience is not really one of my virtues. You could try breeding two Mono 1 in one spot and 2 Mono 2 in the other. Trying to look on the bright side, with all the Mono 1 and 2 you are probably getting, you should have lots of eggs to sell. I also agree about the event. RL has been very hectic for us and having another event just adds to the load of things we need to get done. I do hope this is not the new norm for DV. It was nice to see the friend request I sent between events (that one day) went through.
Got 2 gems from the same gem buddy tonight. Anyone?
I collect all my gems everyday. Glitch?
Time differentials? So they gifted you just before reset, when you were asleep, and then again immediately after the reset because they were up his whole time because of their time differential to BFS

My game crashed a couple of weeks ago when I was part way through gifting gems to friends. When I restarted the gems that I had sent were gone but it didn't show me who I had sent them too. I had to guess who I had sent them too, maybe this happened and they sent a second gem to you by mistake?
I was messing with my twilight tower and noticed that the options now fill the whole width of the screen; between that and the arrival of the weather controlling thing (sorry, can't remember what it's called) I'm wondering if the star fall sky will be the last new sky for a while, and future events will instead add new weather. For those who are opting against the twilight tower because we've had event skies so much of the time lately, it might be something to consider. Of course, this is purely speculation on my part.

The icons may simply become smaller, the same way it happens with the the habitats.

So I can't edit this to put in my numbers. Do I have to make a copy or something?
Cheers Fletch
Edit: never mind. I found the instructions tab Lemmy so helpfully included. :-)
Glad you found that!
Also notable... I may have forgotten to update the rewards prices so they're still the easter event. The overall 9000 star dust required is the same, but the different levels for individual prizes are a bit wonky. I've updated in the master spreadsheet, but you'll have to do something about it if you've already downloaded. Pretty easier to just adjust the prices yourself!
I have seen a pictureof the positionn" rain" on the weather station, t is just an overlay like the current meteors on our islands. Nothing special, am not going to struggle for that. Side question : photobucket seems to be no longer working. What do you recommend to upload pictures here now?

I can understand the way you feel, but you are obviously in the minority. BFS has access to all the numbers. They can tell how active players are and how much money is being spent. As they have made it possible to play DV without spending money it's easy to forget that they are a for profit company. They have to ultimately base decisions on the bottom line. If events increase player participation and revenues, then they're going to have frequent events. They might risk burning out some players, but they might also attract others. They have the statistics upon which to base their decisions. I'm not a BFS fan-boy - I have criticized them many times here. But I am an entrepreneur and it's easy to see the logic in their strategy.
Bottom line for we players is that we don't *have to* do anything. We don't have to buy gems, we don't have to participate in events, we don't have to even play. It's a game - it doesn't make sense to play it in a way that isn't enjoyable.

Yes. His game crashed during the gifting process. He ended up giving me two gems then realized later he was one gem short.

There's some speculation that like day/night settings, different weather settings may come to be required for breeding specific dragons. This is just a theory of course, so there's no way for players to find out until after the event has ended. But that could be something to consider.
Try imgur? I remember using it once and it was relatively fuss-free to upload a picture.
