The 5000 stardust is over the top generous. I received 8,000,000+ treats for my overage of 1500 stardust. Does that mean I will receive some 25,000,000 treats this time?! That will put me over 100M treats.
BFS isn't always perfect but in the almost four years (!) I've been playing they have always been fair.

It is nice they gave the extra star dust to people.
Although I don't know how they determine why some people were affected and some weren't or why some got 5,000 and some got far less.
I was at work when this all happened, but apparently my park wasn't affected so I didn't see any of these messages.
If I didn't read anything I wouldn't have even known something happened.

Oh boy it was an exciting afternoon for a lot of people. Like Bane, I didn't realize anything happened until I looked at the forum.
The whole thing was very reminiscent of the Halloween event. BFS has a history of being very good and continues to be in the glitch compensation department. So good that sometimes you want the glitch to affect you

Wow! Didn't know about all this stuff going on. I guess my park wasn't affected. I've always had the timer and event island. Anyways, thanks to everyone who helped me towards getting the Weather Station! Truly appreciated! I'm only a few hundred Star Dusts away from it, so I guess I'll manage with the regular sweep after the reset (which is in about 2.5 hrs from this post). There may be somebody else needing help, so you can give them the extra gifts instead. Thanks again! This Community rocks!

I was one of those who had the event ended. There was no way I was going to get the WS... well except for when BFS gifted me a ton of star dust! Now I have it.

Wow. Seems like an exciting faux-end to the event! It didn't affect me, and I now have 97 SD to go for the weather station. Here's hoping I wake up in time to collect it before the event ends: it would be annoying to miss it now.
BFS seem to have had way more glitches recently, especially concerning the end of events. It's a little concerning; at least they tend to compensate generously!

Same for me in my second park, I was about 1,000 away from achieving the weather station and they gave me enough to get it and 200 odd more. In my main park they gave me 5,000 more stardust! What an awesome fix to wake up to. I can honestly say I have never felt cheated by BFS ever, any technical problem has been sorted to more than my satisfaction

It's a pretty safe bet that future events will add more weather effects.

Not that much to choose from currently, but I'm sure they'll add more.

Well I'm pleased to announce that this event has actually been VERY benificial for me. I gained 4 epic drafons this month, and that brings my grand total up to... Wait for it... FOUR EPIC DRAGONS (xD) at the start of the event I bread a moon dragon. About a week later I got the Sun dragon. Yesterday I bred the ouroborous dragon, and got enough SD for the first midnight dragon! Yay me lol
btw I'm only lol 19 right now

Is the formula for the event currency to treat exchange: 20% of the amount the pile of treats is (dependent on your level)?

I am too. I'm really curious to see if we'll be getting the new breeding cave or any other features. 4 hours until the event ends! I dont think i've ever been this excited for an event to end!

I just got my Weather Station with just a little more than 100 stardust to spare. Thank you to all of my loyal gem friends for helping me along the way! Collecting things for this event was definitely a lot harder than usual for me with real life and illness consuming most of my time. Now I can't wait to see what will come next at the end of the event!

If we get another breeding cave, hope we can upgrade the nursery by at least 2. Anyway, I am excited to see what happens today. I have about 2 hours and 15 min to go here in SCAL. I have to be in our urgent care dept for a new enhancement to our electronic medical record go-live. Hopefully I can find a quiet spot for a few min at 9:30
(SCAL time) for the end.

I am fine with the 2 breeding sites. Having a 3rd breeding site probably requires few gems, also it's foreseeable the hatchery would also need to be upgraded. I am too. I don't know if we can stow the current breeding cave, but I would like the option to do so with this new cave.
