I do appreciate the great price of making treats during this event. I think I was able to make a little over 20 million treats during the event not including the hidden treats collected, and I was just using 4 of the huge treat farms.
I, uh *ahem*, uh, well, may have appreciated the great price for treats a bit too much myself. Goes with the RL gluttony holiday here I guess.
Was just going to get back to 60M on reserves (from 5M after getting the 10th flag bearer / elder shrine) and then focus on getting my DC up from 8 to 10B (I just don't trust that the next island wont be ridiculous in price...).
However, I seem to have appreciated myself into ~120M treats and am down to 6.5M DC. Apparently, my mistrust isn't too great Well, back to Wisp+Wisp until the next event dragon / BeB starts!
I may have over-indulged this harvest season as well. I will be in trouble if the next island is in the 10B range!

Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless gas, which if left alone in large enough quantities, for long enough, will begin to think about itself.
This was a very productive event for me. I got 4 Harvests and 6 Feasts at two parks together. More importantly I could convert more than 20B DC at each park to treats. Now I have more than 1B treats at each park. I am ready for the next Level up.
Shocker - I actually enjoyed this event. It was more laid back, and felt more like an "enjoy thanksgiving" event than a "hehehe here's an event to ruin your Christmas/Halloween/summer" event.
Don't worry James. I am sure THAT event will be along shortly.
And I can't wait - insert groan here

I began this event with over1000 gems, and spent many incoming gems every day trying for a Harvest. Finally at the last minute and down to 400, an 18hr popped up. I was confident it was my Harvest, but this morning someone mentioned getting one of the galaxy dragons which was 18 hours. I hope my Elder Air bred with a friend's Harvest couldn't be cruel enough NOT to be a Harvest.
I'm trying to resist speeding up any more so I can begin to build up my depleted gem stores.

This event has been another mediocre one for me. On the plus side, I liked the "no pressure" aspect of searching for hidden things. It was also a great way to boost my food stores with the new treat options. On the down side, I was only able to get one Harvest in Park SS and one Feast in Park SG - despite checking in many times every day to reset breeding spots. I made only light use of gems so didn't do a lot of speeding up - I just don't like the way breeding has changed. It seems like it is harder and harder to breed new dragons and that takes a lot of fun out of the game for me.
Awww I feel for you Susie, have been there often re not getting dragons, and it's hard... I am now thinking in terms of annual cycles for breeding dragons fwiw, I got both feast and harvest from the two-in-one breed option, ( I did use some very precious coz very scarce, gems) and both in the ebc. I don't know how BEB works, being only a park keeper for a few months, but if the combos are the same, and you did not try the blended combo this time, maybe give it a shot during BeB. here's wishing a change of luck to you!

You can't get a galaxy dragon with that combo.
Only ways to get a galaxy at the moment is Galaxy + Galaxy or Epic + Galaxy

With no galaxy in the breeding pair, you do not have anything to fear.
Back to my attempts to get an Eridanian from the coop. First try with with my Antarian and one shared Eridanian. Guess what? I have a third Feast coming
Thank you! I switched to this and got 18H! My first Eridanian!
I don't know if anyone is still reading this thread now that its over, and I guess I should have asked this before, but does anyone know where the event name comes from, what it refers to, or even how it is pronounced? Every time I saw it I wondered, but I was always too distracted by breeding and growing food and feeding up tasks to remember to ask.

Om nom is used comicwise when somebody is eating something and finds it delicious. It's also the name of the little monster in the game "cut the rope" (which always tries to get to the sweets)

Thanks, Crumble and Niffarious. I am always happy when I actually learn something through playing Dragonvale, it kind of justifies all that time...
