Okay, a quick tip for those special few that have started DV World games:
Any achievement you post is not visible by anyone who friends you or starts their own DV World game AFTER you post it. Therefore you will not likely reap the benefits of posting those achievements so early because you need at least 5 people to "Applaud" your achievement to get bonus gems. Achievements are automatically posted when you collect the gems for that achievement at the Wizard Hall.
Therefore, the advice is "Don't collect any achievements from the Wizards Hall until the game is full circulation and all your friends are playing as well."
Fletch_smf , did you manage to get the game from the Australia store? I noticed that you have a park under your regular GC account.
No, not yet. Just experimenting with using 2 different GCID's on 1 device, so I started my real game. It lists all the game profiles you have accessed on the device in the one list and shows the GCIDs associated with them. If you try and connect to a profile whilst signed into the wrong GCID the game prompts you with the problem. Using the different GCID allows me to gift to the others, so Fletch_smf can gift to DVWorldTest & DVWorldTest2 but the 2 DVWorldTest accounts cannot gift to each other because they are on the same GCID.
I imagine that if I was signed in to Facebook, it would reflect which ever Dragonvale World Profile I had accessed last.

Hatched my Rainbow dragon. I think it looks close to a 3D version of the original.
It is breeds me with the other dragons, so if we assume it's substitution elements are the same as required to breed it, we can hopefully deduce what is required from the offspring. Will breed it with a primary dragon to make it easier to see what elements it brings to the mix.

Cyn, I see that you are Level 12 now. I believe you should have a 3rd NPC giving gifts now. Do you want to check if it's the brown/green character, and how long between resets?
Sent you a message. Yes, three for level 12: green bird and two light colored cape ladies. Seems to be green bird hourly and cape ladies every three hours.
I see they have updated the Dragonvale World app. It sounds like it might be a long wait for it to launch worldwide. Opinions you lucky few?

They are obviously still sorting out the Video Peddler, and I appear to be in the control group. He has not returned since I updated. I am just wondering if he is still visiting anyone else?
You may be refering to me? (Swede) but if not, my GCID is below my avatar so please feel free to add me. Seems this World game is quite friend dependent!

You can send Rainbow Dragon to gather at all 3 locations available to me at the moment. I don't know if this is new, or if I didn't notice before because I was using Rainbow constantly in my breeding tests. This is interesting, because it makes it the only dragon with more than 1 Location element. I thought it might be a good idea to send it to Gather (worth 4000DC, and more importantly to me 4000XP) to see what it bought it back. If it only bought back Location elements that would indicate that it doesn't have Base elements, conversely if it bought back rewards from all the Base elements as well it would mean it is truly a dragon of all elements. So I removed a bunch of dragons from my Cavern Location to drop back the Rewards available, so that there was only Level 1 rewards from the Base elements (15 minute gathering time) but up to Level 2 of the Cavern element (so at worst, a 2 hour gathering time). However, I sent the Rainbow Dragon out, and discovered it is gathering for 2 days/48 hours. This is, very disappointing, and I won't be doing that again. I am interested to see what it brings back for that 48 hours. Very unlikely it will be worth the lost earnings/inability to breed with it. Maybe it's something to do later in the game when you have a Rainbow army or something.
