Came here looking for information from the number-crunchers on the efficiency of the new treats. Which treat should high-level players be growing for maximum time/cash efficiency?
Thanks in advance, you guys rock.
Here are the numbers I came up with. Someone should double check my math:
Star Pods - 50 cost per treat, 208.3k treats per hour, 2 day Nubbleberry - 45 cost per treat, 500k treats per hour, 2 hours Firey Figs - 25 cost per treat, 1,000k treats per hour, 2 hours Cubetuber - 48 cost per treat, 62.5k treats per hour, 4 hours Talontaters - 25 cost per treat, 200k treats per hour, 2 hours Jelly Plant - 8.33 cost per treat, 12k treats per hour, 1 hour Ro's Dragon Fruit Cake - 8 cost per treat, 3k treats per hour, 1 min
Based on the above, Firey Figs remains the best in terms of treats per hour. Cost per treat, Star Pods (50) wins but takes a crazy 2 days to make. Slightly behind, Cubetubers at 48 and 4 hours to make. Firey Figs just behind at 45 per treat.
Overall, Firey Figs remains by far the best choice to use.
Your numbers are solid but your logic is flawed
Star Pods LOSE because we want a low cost per treat. Star Pods are basically a joke. However, Nubbleberries beat out Beanstalks as the preferred year-long treat to grow for high-level players. And yes, during the Om of Noms, Fiery Figs are absolutely still king. Thanks for your work!
Oh man, I wonder if we can continue cross-breeding after we unlock these things.
You could leave Omega Squashes planted and continually plant Zazzberries all around them. They'd have a chance of transforming into Nubbleberries that you basically don't have to pay for.
Let's say it's a 5% chance. You would end up paying 20,000 DC for 1,001,425 food. Or 0.02 cost per food. 🤔
if anyone has unlocked the Everything Nice tier already and could click on the Bogberry dragon and send me a screenshot of the panel, i'd certainly appreciate it.

DragonVale Update for Amazon/Kindle Users We're currently working to fix a technical error that's keeping us from updating our Amazon version of the game. Unfortunately, this means that the Om of Noms event will be starting a little bit later for some of our players. We apologize for this inconvenience and will automatically compensate affected players for the missed time. Thanks for your patience while we continue to work on this.
Thanks for posting this, Cyn! As a Kindle user, I haven't been able to update yet, and hadn't thought to check with BFS. I thought I was doing something wrong. I just need to be patient, and read up here on what I'm missing, and gaze longingly from the wrong side of the playground fence... Sigh.

EDIT: from that link: Harvesting Dragon Treats (Treats with longer grow times are far more likely to produce Spice than those with shorter growing times)
The BFS info page states there are only supposed to be 10 hidden baskets total. I found: 1 Double Basket - 50 Spice 1 Cornucopia - 20 Spice 1 Large Basket - 15 Spice 10 Small Basket - 10 Spice each
Can anyone verify the number of baskets found? Maybe I just didn’t have enough coffee this morning. ☕️
Getting to the Max will be harder as there are no minigames or some dragon tournament thing that gives you 100 event items.
I don`t think that is going to be an issue. I am way over the max already in just a couple of hours. The problem for me is going to be understanding this whole treat thing, seriously confusing. Growing something next to something else...what?
This is more complicated than when the Rift opened. I managed to figure that out on my own, but not this... And where did I come looking for answers.... nowhere but here 😝
