Okay...far be it from me to complain about having doubles days, but I can't be the only one who's had this thought when signing in and getting the in-game advertisement while it's loading that says, "Today only!!!" regarding the double beans earning. If it was actually a rare thing to be given double beans, this brilliant commercial technique might be applicable, but we've had quite a lot of doubles days. Now, I'm just wondering if someone on the team has a deep personal vendetta against weekends, or something...what was wrong with doubles weekends?
Anyway, though certainly not bothered by having doubles days, this is sort of what I feel every time I sign in and see that 'today only' message.

So far I have sold off each Community Egg as they were duplicates of what I already had. I really was hoping for a Twin Mono5 Pedestal to complete my collection but no luck. Seems like BFS will always give you a Rift now even if you’re missing a regular Twin or Twin Pedestal. I wish they would let us choose from the catagory.
Bought the Abraxas with tickets the first day it was out and have been trying in the Rift for a pedestal so I don’t have to waste tickets on it. No luck using Abraxas lvl 16 + Wisp lvl 16 so I switched yesterday to Abraxas + lvl 20 Votaic thinking maybe the higher level would help. Nope. Has anyone successfully bred another in the Rift? If so, what combo?

That's the way it has always worked, they don't look at pedestals. If you own the regular and twin, but no pedestals, you will get a mono twin from a mystery egg. This becomes especially noticeable when buying bulk numbers of mystery eggs from the rift. It's also the reason why I always make a twin pedestal before I make a twin dragon, so that the eggs can still get me a second twin before moving to rifts.

I wasn't having any luck getting a second of either of the Rift dragons. I had been trying Abraxas lvl 16 with Volatic lvl 19 and then a Spark, but no luck (just lots of dark+lightning dragons), so I finally decided to just try them together (Abraxas lvl 16 and Sandscale lvl 16) and I did end up getting a second Abraxas (no Sandscale yet). So it is possible, but doesn't seem very common (I'm hoping that once the event ends, the odds will improve).

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get your opinion on best course of action. Long story short, I accidentally missed the deadline to use tickets during the Boulderbright segment, so now I’ve got all these tickets stocked up from then and spark in the dark! I’m trying to make sure I spend the tickets wisely...
I saw on the prize page that it says there are “4 unique prizes” still to come in the grand finale. I just picked dragonvale back up in February, so I don’t have any of the dragons available now in spark in the dark (nor have I had any luck with breeding them *sigh*). When do you think these four grand finale prizes will become available and what do you think they are? I don’t want to go nuts with these spark in the dark dragons and then miss out on a fabulous grand finale dragon.
Orrr I also noticed there’s still two days for spark in the dark. Do you think there will be a time frame when the grand finale prizes and the spark in the dark dragons are available at the same time so I could pick from either?
Tons. I had to switch from iPad to iPhone (where I can barely see a thing), and even then, do the stupid login through Facebook, which isn't on the phone.

It is not Sunscorch. I have it and I am still missing 1 item. I have the g island and both relics.

The news flash says that we can collect tickets thru July 4th and claim prizes thru July 5th. I have 13,195 tickets. Does this mean that I can't use them in the Finale if I don't spend them on the current tier? Sure seems like it UGH!
When it says you can collect tickets through July 4th, that generally means you can collect tickets until the reset on July 5th. At that point the event ends, and you can not earn any new tickets. The Spark in the Dark tier will also close at that time, on July 5th. Then from July 5th until the reset on July 6th, you can pull out up to 1000 tickets from your social menu and then spend any remaining tickets on the Finale tier.
I wish they would preview the tier for us before ending Spark in the Dark. We will have no opportunity to gain any tickets except the 1000 banked, and have no idea how much we need to save for that tier. Since I have one account that wants both epic upgrades, I'm just going to save everything and hope it's enough, skipping current dragons.

The one time to my knowledge that they did check pedestals was in the Treasure Hunt event. I hatched my first (standard) Opulent and Regal, pedestalled my second (twin) and my third of each were TwinRifts. It's probably specific to those eggs, they were unusual in having different chances for different dragons which I believe is unlike most other mystery eggs.
Buyers quandary, 75 tickets short or there abouts for the Abraxas, have one of the epics but not the other. Have the island. Don't have Dracaba.... choices, choices
