Looks like Tidal is breedable, has a cheery green hourglass in the Dragonarium. I don't have Tidal in the rift in every game so at least I have something to do in the rift in those games.
Just checked sandbox: tidal showing as NOT Rfit breedable if you don’t already have one... (was gonna copy your idea, 😩) sitting here w Rift breeds available an don’t know what to use them on cos can’t understand the rift icon code...sigh (see rift thread for plea for help in marginal un-rifting) off the walk doglet, this is all too hard🤪
I was looking at my Dragonarium, not the Sandbox. Click on Tidal in the Summer section and then click on "Buy." You'll get this message: "We're sorry! This can only be acquired by collecting flowers and trading them in at the Beachside Bungalow or by breeding." This is a different message than the new event dragons, which say they can only be acquired by collecting flowers.
dvbox.bin.sh confirms dragonarium, that the new limited are un breedable atm, unless cloning or parent cloning in coop 😔 so back to filling in dragon gaps, pedestals etc or breeding for dc....
Thanks kiwichis. I could have sworn that I looked last night and they showed as breedable. Really annoying that the last tier has unbreedable dragons when this is a breeding game. I said this in another forum, but it feels to me as though DragonVale has the 7-year itch. For their 7th anniversary, they want a divorce from all their players...

That was weird. I just bred Sun and Moon in the rift, trying for Dusk/Dawn, and I got...Zaffer. 🤷♀️
(Sun had a metal trait, so if you're trying to duplicate, I guess you should make sure you include one. If I had known that was all it took, though, I would have had my display egg long before now...)

Well, this afternoon I was able to breed a rift tidal on 3 parks, using quake and abyss; I even had one in only one try! I hope the rift tidal is still available, cause I don’t have one in my main park 🤣😅

Five more days of freebies from the Tidal Timekeeper (sure to include some gifted Flowers )... Plan out your purchases carefully... I have a quick question. I have been saving all my flowers that I have received from friends in my gifts, i have around 400. When do i “accept” them? Do i do it after the event ends but the market is still open? I don’t want to have them count against my daily limit. Thanks in advance for any advice,

Weird here too! I liked your idea of riftified Dusks and Dawns, so I tried Sun with air trait and Moon with cold trait and got a Zaffer too, with not a metal trait in the combo!
Oh, look. My favourite topic is being discussed again.
The unexpected Zaffer thing is from a now nearly year old bug, where if you have a Rare (Blue) dragon's elements included in the parent dragons' contributed elements there's a low-ish chance of it appearing as a result in the Rift even if the Rare dragon has a locked combo and therefore shouldn't be be able to be bred with those parents.
It's most noticeable with Zaffer because of Zaffer's frankly absurd standard combo and the high frequency of having Cold and Lightning together when breeding, but it applies to all rares at least. I bred a Rosebud that way earlier in the year; the reports of breeding the Honu/Humu dragons outside of their locked combos would be down to the same issue.
I say all Rares: I've never seen an Epic bred off-combo like this, but that doesn't necessarily mean it can't be done. If people have evidence of it happening with locked combo epics I'd love to know what you got and which combo you used.
Finally, I should note that due to potential for it to be patched at any point, as well as fairly low trigger rates anyway, this should not be relied on for targeted breeding. It's more of a fun bonus when it does happen.

Hi Jenny, there will be a one-day lag between the end of collecting flowers and the event end, to give us a brief period to decide when we have all our flowers in hand. That’s the time to collect your saved flowers, if this event goes as past events have, we’ll be able to collect up to 1,000 flowers that day. koala!

😂😂 see Arkynos ’ comment above; and refer to the OP of the Rift page, and there should/might be a link in the Encyclopaedia Dracontine, to how to breed Zaffer...yep, there is, look under Other Dragons, then Rift specials list, and Zaffer is at the end of that
for fun you might want to copy journeywoman ,s combo, altho as Arky says, no guarantees 😈

I like this new event. The palm tree decoration is a lovely new addition, not just because it's pretty but also because I've wanted some variety in the available plant life. The dragons are cheaper, and the Limulimu dragon is absolutely beautiful. I should be able to easily purchase it since the prices have been lowered. ☺

The statue was available for at least one day, when I saw it posted here I was able to grab it in game. It's no longer in the market, and I never saw it advertised, so maybe they'll bring it back soon with an announcement. Otherwise it will be a cheap purchase when BeB starts, but that really shows the Backflip dropped the ball with this one (and many other recent things).
On the 16k dragons, they'll either be back for the final weekend or final day of the event, or not until BeB. They had one event recently where the limiteds and earlier tiers returned on the very last day, when you can't earn currency but had a day left to buy things. Even if they return then, I'll have no where near enough to buy them plus the other new things in the shop. We're currency challenged this event, the cost of things needs to be cut in half or we need 4x days, every day.

I purchased the Limulimu dragon, and after weeks of breeding I finally got a Tidepool dragon. So now my new little babies can frolic happily together, laughing and splashing and having a wonderful time.
