Me too! Haven't been able to breed an event dragon for the last 4 events. Like kiwichris I decided to just enjoy what I have. My park doesn’t need to have everything. Besides, where would I put it? I like to think my park is unique as it is different than someone else's. I sort of support the game, maybe 10$ every few months but that is about it. I’m in the game only once a day except for events and then only enough times to collect the daily limit of event currency. Things became so difficult in DVW that I stopped playing it. I knew at some point they would make DV DVW. But it is what it is. I will play, enjoy what I can accomplish and not get upset by what I want but don’t have. Changing the subject, I have 4 wishes which I’m thinking of using one to get Chromacorn. I usually save them for islands just in case I don’t have the currency to buy islands. A year ago I would have never thought of using a wish to get a dragon. Times have changed.
Times have changed here also! For the 1st time I used a wish for a chromacorn since i could not breed one in rift ...
So the five event dragons are the Hakahaka, Honuhonu, Humuhumu, Limulimu, and Manomano. Can any of these be cloned in the Co-Op at this point? I recall seeing a posting on Facebook saying that originally the Honuhonu and Humuhumu could not be cloned even in the Co-Op. I know folks could clone them when they were officially released, but wasn't sure if that limitation was put back in place now that they've expired.
As a related question, can any/every dragon (excluding the Legendary ones) be cloned in the Co-Op? I thought it used to be limited to the Epics only, but wasn't sure if that limitation was removed at some point.
It was mostly removed: everything except the Rift Specials and Galaxy Dragons can be Cloned and Parent-Cloned in any cave you like, regardless of whether they're currently marked as available.
Speaking generally, I gather that if a dragon is accidentally released and then unreleased it'll be made unbreedable and unclonable until it is officially released, after which it'll behave like normal.
So as to your first question, more directly: All 5 should be Co-op clonable now. The odds are usually much better if you're doing like and like rather than parent-cloning though, so be prepared for it to take some time.
Considering the accumulated frustration since the last eventd on one hand and the fact that this forum reflects the opinions of hundreds of gamers, i would suggest the folllowing: - make a poll about the elements of frustration amongs the players, what is upsetting us, the degree of frustration - make a poll about the years one has been playing the game Summarize all elements and then have the admin and modos send a mail to BFS in the name of all of us which are now at the verge of quitting and cut revenues. Any thoughts about this idea.
While I like the idea behind this, I think it may be better if we each sent our own individual emails to Backflip, as that gives them a clear idea of how many people are unhappy with the changes, and an increase in emails will signal that something is wrong.
I have to imagine that they are already aware though. Imagine that you were a developer of this game, or managed the team creating it. How could you not spend 5 minutes a day reading these forums, reading Dragonvale reddit, and browsing Dragonvale Facebook? The volume of posts in these locations is fairly low and it's easy to keep up, especially if your job was tied to it. My guess is that they do, but those who make the overall decisions just don't care compared to the revenue increases they gain short term when people spend to get dragons they can't breed. Those types of people don't usually look at a long term growth strategy.
Anyone have the combo for the 2 new limited dragons? Do they require specific dragons, or just any Plant, Water, Light element dragons for Limulimu and Water, Cold, Dark element dragons for Manomano?
What seemed like a great event at first quickly turned into a not so fun event. The two limiteds enormous event currency costs coupled with the rare chance at breeding left me unable to breed or buy either after only buying the hakahaka and a theme. I used over 200,000 etherium and 200 gems and didn’t get either one. Lots of Sunscorch and Party fails. Remember how hard both were to get first time around, that was definitely coded to get those as fails to encourage gem speedups. 😡 They also increased the Paradise habitat cost. It is listed on the FAQ as 2275 and now it is over 4000. 👎
I’m just going to have to be happy with whatever I can get from the future events. Nowadays that is most likely only a couple of the dragons, a habitat and theme or decoration. New Dragonvale mindset: Sloth mode it is...on getting the dragons. I’m still playing, no longer paying!

dvbox.bin.sh confirms dragonarium, that the new limited are un breedable atm, unless cloning or parent cloning in coop 😔 so back to filling in dragon gaps, pedestals etc or breeding for dc....

The last few events have really dried up my enthusiasm, so when I saw that this event allowed us to earn beans in a few ways, and some games had returned, I was pleased about that, but also full of apprehension that there would still be plenty I didn't like about the event. I was already kind of low in enthusiasm because of the failure to breed certain dragons in the last few months, and not for want of trying (Kaiju, Chromacorn, Osteryx, Bonescale, and still missing a galaxy dragon, and possibly others I can't think of presently). I miss the fire-breathing dragonarium, to be honest... but now that I've gotten used to it being dead and cold, I just let the first tier of the event pass by without buying the UggaUgga or whatever it was...the ugly dragon! Saved my beans in case I needed them for dragons that don't offend my aesthetic eye quite so much. My friend felt even more strongly about its design than I--she said if she ever got one in the future during BEB or something, she would be deleting it, not even putting it in hibernation. I lucked out and bred one version of the...(these names are really hard for me to remember, let me check)...the Humuhumu and Honuhonu, which surprised me, as I was expecting they'd be added to my growing list of missed dragons. Don't even get me started on how many dragons I'm missing in the Rift despite dedicated breeding whenever they were available!
I still feel like the odds are better for newer/lower level players, and one thing that compounds this suspicion for me is that a friend started playing again after over a year's absence, and was able to clone a few dragons from me with much more ease before she reached max level, and now that she's reached it we've been trying with the same dragon for weeks on end and no koala. The clincher: the dragon is a Regal! I find that so very ironic and perversely hilarious, considering how many unwanted ones I, and many others of this forum and elsewhere, ended up with during that treasure event. Anyway, regarding the low breeding odds and general luck for higher level players, I know that while I've been finding most of my flag bearers daily (they are a blighted nuisance to find, those little neon-coloured ninjas that manage to creep behind bright objects and loiter there indefinitely to fool the eye, then promptly teleport and refuse to return for a coon's age once spotted), I haven't gotten any special dragon gifts from them, aside from one lone twin Gift Rift, though I really had no need of it. So...yeah. I know the potential for those eggs is just an extra, and I don't expect anything, but I always marvel when I hear of the mythical benign koalas that apparently exist out there in the cosmos, while I'm sent the Killer Koala of Caerbannog equivalent most times...
My problem with all of this during the past few months is it feels like some kind of forced communism. Buy things from them with real money, and you then lose the opportunity for gem visions, thus negating to a degree the bonus those players were paying for, for their own personal completionism. Let's be real, I can't imagine anyone is playing this game with the idea of competition with other players...it's a personal park with personal development and goals, or am I wrong in thinking that? So, I can understand giving the lower level players a boost as there's plenty to catch up on, but why does making it more difficult for higher level players have to factor in? That just eliminates the fun the further along you get in the game... Not good for player retention, I think. It feels like they're trying to cripple the players who are top level with most dragons, etc, in order to ensure they still have plenty of things to keep working at, to simplify things so that all players are around about the same level vying for the same things, but I don't appreciate the feeling of following a dangled carrot for months on end, and thinking it's because they assume I'd walk away if I had that carrot. Been there, didn't walk away, was happier then. For me personally, I loved the feeling in the past of having every dragon, and all the decorations I wanted, and being able to plod along at a comfortable pace. The thing is, not every player wants to play the same way, and to force those who aren't into the urgent scrambling and eternal stress and sense of constant longing for things they can't obtain to have to play that way because of whatever eeevil algorithms are at play...it is in a word, diabolical!
Well, there's my latest rant, if anyone bothered to soldier through it all! Lurk, then rant. 'Tis my modus operandi.

Thanks kiwichis. I could have sworn that I looked last night and they showed as breedable. Really annoying that the last tier has unbreedable dragons when this is a breeding game. I said this in another forum, but it feels to me as though DragonVale has the 7-year itch. For their 7th anniversary, they want a divorce from all their players...

POTM, well said Zekky. I used to buy event currency during every event and Gems when they were on sale to support the folks at BFS. Stopped a while back when the communism/socialism aspect of the game came to light on this forum. Add to that this new effort to get you to deplete all your resources (250 Gems for a maybe latest anniversary dragon that should have been a given, no thanks) and it is beginning to sound like what these corporate overlords do to us every day in real life. Get on the hamster wheel, keep going around and around but we will never let you get anywhere. Shocking that they still aren’t getting it after watching the changes beginning to go on worldwide.
Looks like Tidal is breedable, has a cheery green hourglass in the Dragonarium. I don't have Tidal in the rift in every game so at least I have something to do in the rift in those games.

Sorry if I’ve missed this in a post: just checked the BFS FAQ and no answer there::: do we know if the Paradise habitat counts against our park habitat total? i didn’t think to check how many I had remaining before and after I purchased one... thanks 🌻

End of quote Sorry but DV has nothing but nothing to do with either communism or socialism but all with capitalism. Kindly review your history books to see what communism was and socialism aim is not to sc... people but to let them have part of the well being. I am neiher nor but don t like the way this trminology is used in the US without knowing at all what it is about. This said, this event will be my last one, fed up with the way this game which used to be so pleasant, is now becoming. The other day I calculated that I have spent a thousand dollars in gifting BFS over seven years. Too bad for them.

Not me, I'm Rifted. I'd rather save Etherium for more habitats, I can imagine my dragons suffocating in the Tower...
Read, BFS, as in ZERO motivation.

Just checked sandbox: tidal showing as NOT Rfit breedable if you don’t already have one... (was gonna copy your idea, 😩) sitting here w Rift breeds available an don’t know what to use them on cos can’t understand the rift icon code...sigh (see rift thread for plea for help in marginal un-rifting) off the walk doglet, this is all too hard🤪

Great post Zekky!
Especially this part: “Let's be real, I can't imagine anyone is playing this game with the idea of competition with other players...it's a personal park with personal development and goals, or am I wrong in thinking that?”
That was one of the best features of this game, there was no stress related to competition but darn it, they managed to put stress in it anyway with the way they changed the function of events!
eg. These last 2 Dragons are unbreedable except in the COOP (which means that someone has to get enough Flowers to buy one of them). If you spent all your earned Flowers buying the first 3 Dragons, these last 2 Dragons cost more than the amount one can earn by the end of the Event AND are not breedable in the Rift. The breeding odds on all of these Event Dragons are prohibitive.
POTM for sure, thank you Zekky.

Well, this afternoon I was able to breed a rift tidal on 3 parks, using quake and abyss; I even had one in only one try! I hope the rift tidal is still available, cause I don’t have one in my main park 🤣😅
Sorry but DV has nothing but nothing to do with either communism or socialism but all with capitalism.
No offense but capitalism has not existed on planet Earth since the 1700s. What we have been living under is CORPORATISM. Corporatism: Economic system in which power is exercised through large organizations (businesses, trade unions, their associated lobbying efforts, etc.) working in concert or conflict with each other; usually with the goal of influencing or subsuming the direction of the state and generally only to benefit their own socioeconomic agendas at the expense of the will of the people, and to the detriment of the common good.
Here in America we went from capitalism to corporatism in 1785. Leading up to that, Barbary pirates were capturing merchant ships and costing the business entities a fortune to ransom them. They had to factor those ransoms into the price of their goods. If costs got too high, people would stop buying the goods. That is a free market. In 1785, the US government sent envoys to Morocco and negotiated the first treaty using taxpayer funds to buy them off so they would give protection to the merchant ships in their ports. There would be many more treaties with all of the same states who were harboring the very same pirates doing the looting. After the Barbary Treaties, businesses made the profits and transferred their costs and losses to taxpayers. That is not capitalism or a free market, it is a manipulated market. A recent example of this is the big bank bailout of 2008. Big banks made huge profits and transferred all of their losses onto taxpayers and they are still in business. In a free market they would have all gone bankrupt and been replaced by smaller banks and credit unions who don’t make risky loans. Corporatism is the farthest thing from capitalism, much closer to socialism and the philosophy of taking from those who earned it to give to those who did not.
Thanks for your post zekky, POTM of course! I agree with your vision of this game, there’s no competition for me too, just fun and excitement to breed a new dragon, and pleasure to decorate my parks. Though these days it’s hard to breed new dragons; I managed to breed a sprite (first « new » dragon for me since the beginning of this summer event), but don’t find it really spectacular as it’s a dragon from a previous event... And spending more than a thousand gems on my parks to get honuhonu etc.... but getting nada has reduced my motivation to zero! I had the right timers several times, but unlike before never got the dragons. So I won’t do that again till BFS stops this ridiculous odds.
